yes you did! No rash, no vomiting, she's b/feeding well - just had a good feed without any fussing. She will wake up a bit - but prefers to be flopped on my shoulder.

NorthernLurker · 04/03/2008 13:31

ok - just looking at the meningitis card -and she's grabbed it off me and is playing with it a bit - guess that's a good sign!

Sexonlegs · 04/03/2008 13:31

POTC, what a nightmare for you. Have you contacted the CAB for advice?

NL, poor B. She sounds v poorly poor little lamb. Hope you are ok. x

Hi MJ, how is F today?

Need to get on - where does time go. Only an hour and a half until school run time!!!!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 04/03/2008 13:32

I was thinking the same though mj, I think I'd be straight up A&E too

I'll talk through all the options with work, they really need me in every day though which limits my options, and I have too much work sometimes anyway.

I do find that mid-month I'm not as busy so there may be scope to do 16hrs basic then do overtime at the end of month when there is more work.

Deary me - dropped P off at nursery and had to pick DD2 up as she had done 2 massive diarrhoea explosions She is sleeping atm, bless her. I am really, really hoping this just a one off and that the other don't get it too - I can't cope with this with DH away too

Sigh.

Poor B, NL ..... my DD1 always "flopped" when she was ill, it was quite worrying, but I have gotten used to it over a time. I would go to A&E if she gets any worse though. xx

What's your next move POTC?? xx

NorthernLurker · 04/03/2008 14:09

oh dippy - explosions are Not Good!

The calpol she had an hour ago has kicked in and she is cooler. We really are going through it though aren't we? Can I suggest a new thread title - April 2007 - Medised profits surge, Calpol shares skyrocket!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 04/03/2008 14:10

wait for Court. Pay as much as I can off the arrears between now and then. Family centre just called, they will take over officially from the ex social worker, they are going to call housing and explain that I have been let down by SS.

She said they will help me at Court, we will put together a mitigating circumstances case, including my suspected PND, Justin being a twat, SS being shite, and anything else we can come up with.

Then we have to hope for a nice judge who is in a good mood on the day.

NL - poor little B Nathan always used to flop with a temp, hopefully thats all it is, and yes a litle bit of playing is a good sign.

Dippy - hope dd er 2 was it? recovers quickly and that the others dont get it

What a lot of poorly babies we have atm. D's eyes are seeming better but kept waking me up in the night with a horrible cough DD also has quite a bad cough and a bit of a cold but not bad enough for me to keep her off school!

POTC - was about to get offended by the 'sitting on their arses' comment but given your circumstances I will let you off! Do you get any council tax and housing benefit? I would have thought if you're getting WTC you should do even if its only a small amount. And from what I recall even if you do technically make yourself intentionally homeless you still have 2 children who cannot be put out on the street so they have to house you somewhere.

Just rung garage and apparently my car wont be fixed till friday afternoon, we then need to get it home give it a full thorough clean inside and out, t-cut it to try and hide the scratches and then get to the other garage to collect the new car by friday morning

Bugger

PillockOfTheCommunity · 04/03/2008 14:16

I did think of you as I wrote it
but you're not sitting on your arse out of choice, you are actively seeking work [tssssssp]

NorthernLurker · 04/03/2008 14:17

thanks pesha

car sounds tricky - and poorly children with you too

have you heard anymore about the bloke who got hit? Sounds terrible.

NorthernLurker · 04/03/2008 14:33

ok - got a couple of little smiles out of her - off to school and docs now. back later

Pesha · 04/03/2008 14:34

Ah but I wasnt when M and then N were little, I'd planned to be a sahm or work at home mum and didnt want to lose out on my time with my babies just cos things had gone tits up so choose to claim benefits and sit on my arse all day (or as I liked to call it - race around like a loon after bloody kids!) safe in the knowledge that when they were older I would work and pay my taxes to repay what I'd had and enable other mothers to do the same. BUT I can see your frustration so I wont sulk

x MWAH x - cos I know you do kisses even if you wont cuddle up afterwards!!

Pesha · 04/03/2008 14:38

NL - hope things go well at the docs. And no no news as yet, have searched itv and bbc local news sites and nothing but it is still too soon perhaps.

CaptainDippy · 04/03/2008 15:34

Well I am "working at home" right now and it ain't all it is cracked up to be, I can tell ya'!!?

I am so confused!!

Arse to car, Pesha - I can't stand cars, such an expense I dread to think how much work our car is going to need on it when DH gets back from his course..... ...

Glad B is a little cheerier, NL - exploding bottom girl is still sleeping in pram downstairs Bless her, she obviously needs it; and it has given me some time and space to wade through some work-y stuff, so that is good, I guess!!?

DloeufyDoo · 04/03/2008 16:55

EEK..So sorry to hear about all the poorly babies and stress some of you are going through.POTC I really hope all goes ok[obviously]I wish I could be helpful
Milo had his appt at Temple Street...back in 3 months to see how he goes.Mild end of spectrum so hopefully won't need surgery which is great.I will relax when they give us the all clear.I really send my love to all.xxxxxxxxx

Pesha · 04/03/2008 17:23

Holy crap - I have a job interview!!! Its for the job SOL helped me do the cover letter for - Thankyou SOL Interview is on Thursday at half 12, fuckety fuck fuck!!!All nervous now! And dont know what to wear!!

Dp is very excited though as its for a car parts company so he's anticipating all sorts of cheap car parts

NorthernLurker · 04/03/2008 17:51

Back and all ok. B perked up a bit whilst we were out, to my relief, and the doc looked in her ears and found she has an ear infection. Poor little mite! I feel bad - although I know I shouldn't - because I didn't realise - got antibiotics for 5 days and so hopeefully I should have my bouncing babe back very soon. Thanks for the support - it means a lot

SPB - will e-mail you the house - meant to earlier but I was busy panicking!

NorthernLurker · 04/03/2008 17:57

pesha - an interview? Well done!!

cazboldy · 04/03/2008 18:13

Dooby - Good news about milo

Pesha - calm down, it will be fine

NL - good that he gave you some ab, she should be better in a day or 2 x

I had a phone call from the school at about 2pm, dd1 managed to bump her head rather hard, and they weren't sure if she was knocked out, and was complaining of feeling sick and dizzy, so I had to go and get her and take her to the doctors. He said she should be fine, but to watch her for 24hrs and take her straight to a&e if she is actually sick. I think it was mostly shock though, as she seems ok.

oooggs · 04/03/2008 19:20

well done pesha

good news dooby

caz about school place - I am dreading finding out about ds1's place on 17/18 this month as 3 of the schools are over subscibed and the other one is the pits

ellie - hope things get sorted - what a worry

nl - is b any better

hi mammyjo - hows F?

dippy - why confused?

hi katy - T sleep ok?

I have had a glass of wine with a friend whilst we fed children their tea - things are so much better

StealthPolarBear · 04/03/2008 19:26

Thanks for the house NL - have only had a quick look so far but it looks lovely! And walking distance of the city centre!
Glad you've had B seen, hope she is on the mend soon.
caz - hope your dd1 is OK, bet she's had a right shock!
Glass of wine sounds good oooggs. Not a particularly good night, no How was yours?

elkiedee · 04/03/2008 19:38

Oh POTC, what a scary situation.

I'm writing an email to you - I'm a secretary but used to work with estate officers and currently work with housing lawyers though in a different part of the team. I don't think that you're likely to be evicted next month, and clearly you're doing what you need to do now, get together a plan for clearing your priority debts. I'm a bit puzzled that Social Services are suggesting you should give up your job, I know you don't want to do that.

oooggs · 04/03/2008 19:43

last night, ds1 up at 12.30am as duvet fell off settled quickly

ds2 & dd awake at 2.30am both wanting milk as ds2 only had half of his as bed late because dd threw up and dd hungry cos she threw up.

But then slept til 7.15am

not bad, had better

CaptainDippy · 04/03/2008 19:58

Well Done on the interview Pesha - LOL @ "I don't know what to wear" ... priorities!!

Don't beat yourself up, NL - just glad B has the anti-b's and hopefully she'll be tip-top in no time! Also, I hope you see this before half 8, but I have been a complete dur brain - my BF is coming round for a little hwile this evening as it is her Birthday, bless her - so won't be available to chat REALLY sorry. xx

NorthernLurker · 04/03/2008 20:05

Hi Dippy - I'm here - just going to make my tea - no problem at all - am pretty knackered tbh what with house stuff and B doing her dying swan impression right left and centre! Maybe will call tommorrow if you're free? How is dd2 and her exploding posterior?
