'Fraid so, PHD

@ refusal of school place, Caz - hope your appeal is successful!!

cazboldy · 04/03/2008 10:55

PHD I will swap with a stroppy 8 year old DD.

Interested?

PillockOfTheCommunity · 04/03/2008 10:55

Caz - octo had the same thing last year IIRC, as we all approached due dates she was going through a school appeal

Maybe see if she's got any advice for you?

PillockOfTheCommunity · 04/03/2008 10:57

see Pesha, you live in a dodgy area, fires, fights, nightmare. Move to Ipswich, so long as you don't wear short skirts and walk around near the football ground you're fine

Bramshott · 04/03/2008 10:59

Oh no Caz, what a pain. I think you have more chance with appeals for secondary don't you? That's what I've heard anyway - because they don't have the legal limits on class sizes they do in primary.

PillockOfTheCommunity · 04/03/2008 11:00

PHD - we need to add you to the Stats thread, you got missed off (as did Caz til she reappeared )

Morning all.

Caz, sorry about the school result. Good luck with the appeal. Good luck with the pg test too - we are waiting....! x

Ange, sorry you are still feeling poorly. Must meet up again soon.

Bramshott, really pleased parents evening went so well.

pmsl at phd. Hope you find a taker!!

Pesha, v shocked at your post. How awful.

Brain now emptied!

Having a day off today as have accumulated a lot of holiday which needs to be taken before the end of the month. Off to the hairdressers shortly. Sadly nothing exciting planned after - just chores and more chores. There are not enough hours in the day!

Hope everyone is well, and that all poorly babies are on the mend. K seems to have a sodding cold now - no idea where she picked that up from as she hasn't been anywhere. She was crawling about in our bedroom - I turned round and I kid you not she had a string of snot from her nose to the floor!! Had to laugh

Bramshott · 04/03/2008 11:03

Where is IDOC? Come on, it's Tuesday, we're here, we know you're not at work, where are you?!?

Right, I really must do some work - I have been on Mumsnet since 9.45 . . .

PillockOfTheCommunity · 04/03/2008 11:05

I need to do some work too, went in yesterday and brought some home as I knew J wouldn't be well enough for Nursery today. Now I need him to sleep so I can actually do it

cazboldy · 04/03/2008 11:06

I don't really know, but thanks Bramshott.

Thanks Ellie. I will have to ask her. You made me laugh with your ipswich comment

cazboldy · 04/03/2008 11:07

Don't worry SOL, I will let you all know as soon as I do, But I wouldn't get too excited

CaptainDippy · 04/03/2008 11:08

Enjoy your day off, SOL - even if it is chores!

I am soooo confused about this new job ..... ......

PillockOfTheCommunity · 04/03/2008 11:08

when Pesha came to stay her dp did make suggestions about visiting the area

and our Auditors at work come up from London, when we took them out to the football one of the girls was asking us to show her where the red light district was

PillockOfTheCommunity · 04/03/2008 11:09

OP posts:
cazboldy · 04/03/2008 11:10

CaptainDippy · 04/03/2008 11:29

PillockOfTheCommunity · 04/03/2008 11:31

I have my court date through. They are seeking possession of the house. It goes to court on April 14th, day after Joe's birthday

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 04/03/2008 11:34

ellie wtf who are seeking possession of the house? (Sorry for being thick) what is likely to happen? Where can you get advice from - CAB?
Wobble Dippy? Anything we can help with?
caz, I can email octo and ask her to get back on here!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 04/03/2008 11:35

Caz/Octo have emailed you both, so whichever email address isn't yours belongs to the other one

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 04/03/2008 11:37

have emailed octo

StealthPolarBear · 04/03/2008 11:37

ooops
sorry ellie, assumed you would have other stuff on your mind!

Bramshott · 04/03/2008 11:39

POTC - bugger, that's the last thing you need. Is that because of the arrears (if that isn't a personal question?)? What's the likely outcome? Given that clearly they can't turn you onto the street and that if they are proposing doing such a thing they will have more than 20 irate ladies from disparate parts of the country beseiging them and shouting on your behalf!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 04/03/2008 11:40

The council. Rent arrears. My social worker was supposed to be helping me sort it out but she has quit. So my lovely friend that works for SS is doing what she can to help me instead.

I have got most of my debts/arrears sorted, Gas/Electric/Council Tax etc. Justin was paying the rent so when he left it kinda went forgotten, meaning I built up arrears. They are getting arsey about the arrears and are seeking to evict us instead. I know it's my fault, and I'd pay it if I could, but I can't.

All I can do now is go to court and plead my case. some 1st birthday that's gonna be.

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 04/03/2008 11:41

Like Bramshott says, what do they expect the outcome to be? If they evict you, they can't just throw you out on the street.

PillockOfTheCommunity · 04/03/2008 11:42

Likely outcome depends on what I can do between now and then. If I can pay them some money towards the arrears to show willing, and get a direct debit set up for the rent from now on, then hopefully I can convince the judge to let me stay. Otherwise, yes, they can just put us out on the street.
