He was meant to be picking the boys up and taking them shopping for my mothers day present, but if I think he's doing that I'm out of my mind apparently. That's nice for them, considering he isn't even around for mothers day.

He has accused me of not caring about his 'things'. He found an old print of his in the shed (its frame broke long ago) and now all hells broken loose.

Should've bought a fucking house with better fucking storage then. We have 4 kids. We have a lot of stuff. Frankly, anything we owned before moving in together has gone either in the shed or in the bin. Mine included. But we still have the souveniers from his holidays with his previous gf's on the shelf in the living room.

Its been a long time since I had a good rant about DP!

LittleMissNorty · 25/02/2008 15:29

Sounds like you've got 5 kids there Foxy.....I could rant and rant today about mine...

....at lunchtime he said to me (as well as asking me if he was on a promise tonight - I've got you a mother's day card but I've lost it....don't know if I was expected to say, oh don't worry then? ...Its my first mothers day FFS!

HellHathNoFury · 25/02/2008 15:29

woohoo foxy!

Hello lovely DKMA, how are you?

I am trying to talk them into taking me on as a permy here.
And then I am going to come off the pill. Evil and selfish I know.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 25/02/2008 15:30

foxy! He is being an arse!

I don't understand why you are out of your mind to want him to take the boys MD shopping.

Let it all out! A good bit of dp bashing does wonders!

I can't really join in though! I know he was a bit of an arse with the golf thing yesterday, but he has given up smoking for a week and a half...I'm VERY pleased!

LittleMissNorty · 25/02/2008 15:30

It never fails to amaze me what they get upset about - an old print!! If that was my DH, he'd come home to a ham salad for dinner

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 25/02/2008 15:32

Ham salad? Too good...I'd give him baby rice!

Good work fury, not selfish at all, just very cunning!

HellHathNoFury · 25/02/2008 15:33

men can certainly be arses, I divorced man #1 for being a total arse. Man #2 knows he had better behave himself or he can go the same way.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 25/02/2008 15:33

Oh fury, I love you, you are fucking funny !

HellHathNoFury · 25/02/2008 15:34

cunning! Yes that's much better!
Well even if they don't take me on (I have asked for more money than they would like to pay) I will still probably come off the pill. I was just hoping for some money and a half decent job to come back to

foxythesnowman · 25/02/2008 15:35

well, we were meant to be taking the kids out for tea. So there's no tea for him. Kids will be OK for homemade fishcakes. He can bugger off!

HellHathNoFury · 25/02/2008 15:37

good one foxy.

Top 2 punishments for men:
No food
No sex

alternatively you can accidentaly 'break' the TV (just remove the fuse or something!)

I would imagine that might piss them off somewhat

LittleMissNorty · 25/02/2008 15:40

If I said no sex, I'd get anything I wanted

Homemade fishcakes sound scrummy.....how do you make them?

HellHathNoFury · 25/02/2008 15:46

If I want something important, I go for the BJ. Works a charm.
For 2 weeks I am treated like royalty.

Just make sure there is plenty of wine handy lol

LittleMissNorty · 25/02/2008 15:46
Grin
HellHathNoFury · 25/02/2008 15:48

righty ho, I am off home now.
Because I am not allowed a lovely greasy salty KFC on my WW points, and I REALLY want one, I am going to make my own for dinner... but after adding up all the ingredients, a homemade zinger works out more points than a fast food one?! What gives!

Anyway at least I can feel righteous when I eat it.

See y'all later.

andiemustlosehalfastonemore · 25/02/2008 15:51

lawks I go on the school run and all sorts happens

foxy just come on here and dp bash away

fury 15 years of marriage down the line a bj is but a distant memory for my dh

bad mummy alert lo fell off the bed just before school run but was not very high he has a red nose from carpet burn

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 25/02/2008 15:58

on all your behalfs (behalves??) for twunty DPs.

Norty, your DH should understand that as this is your first ever mother's day, it is doubly special and he is required to put in an extra special effort. Mumbling, as he hands over the garage forecourt flowers a day late, "oh, I forgot you were a mum now" is definately not an option (and you can tell him I said that ). My DH is well trained in these things....I usually start hinting sometime after my birthday though.

LOL fury...sounds like your DH knows who is boss

andiemustlosehalfastonemore · 25/02/2008 16:02

norty I would really go for it now say you expect breakfast in bed lunch out etc etc
last year dh as normal left it till the sat and went to m&s at 5pm with ds to get something when he put beer (for himself) in the basket ds said in a loud voice mummy doesn't like beer daddy all the women in earshot ptsl dh told me this afterwards

LittleMissNorty · 25/02/2008 16:06

PMSL Andie.....I did tell him we do Mothers day presents in this house....I got a blank look and he siad "what do you want then"....my answer was "something from K"......

Last year on Fathers day, DD was only a couple of weeks old and I'd had a section....but I'd thought about this in advance (although she wasn't due until after Father's day) and bought him a card and a pressie.....

andiemustlosehalfastonemore · 25/02/2008 16:09

make him learn the hard way norty

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 25/02/2008 16:17

pmsl at your DD andiem....out of the mouths of babes, eh?

norty, men are bloody useless at these things.

I've just caught DS kicking DD , then he tried to argue that he wasn't kicking her, he was just "tickling her with his foot". Yeah, like David Beckham tickles the ball into the back of the net!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 25/02/2008 16:29

OMG...I just moved my car all on my own! It has been parked on double yellow since last night as some mo fo in a van parked outside our house. Well he has just moved so I had to go and get my car and parallel park it in quite a tight space (well not that tight, but it was still scary). It is a bit too much on the pavement (we have to park a bit on the pavement otherwise cars can't drive down the middle of the road), but it is straight and not crashed!

Sorry, that doesn't sound like a big thing, but I am very proud of myself! Just glad nothing happened, not having a licence can get you into all sorts of trouble!

Dd does that to ds daisy, she strangles him and pulls him to get him away from her toys and when I tell her to stop I get told that she is just having a cuddle .

I don't think I'll get a pressie for mothers' day, but I shall get breakfast in bed and a handmade card (hopefully). A card made for me by dd will be way more special than anything!

foxythesnowman · 25/02/2008 16:31

I couldn't care less about a present, but I'd like the children to acknowledge it (and I think they like to too). Agree, breakfast and a card is the best. But they are too little to do it on their own.

So a present it is.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 25/02/2008 16:38

Yeah, I know foxy. I hope dp has the forsight to help dd to make one. I shall be mighty pissed off if he doesn't!

However, a nice bottle of wine and a bunch of flowers would be nice too!

I'd like to be shown some appreciation on one day of the year. Dp goes to work and sells things and gets patted on the back and gets commision. No-one ever says well done to me every time I hoover or dress the dcs or do the washing up!

Awww, my dd has fallen asleep on the sofa watching peppa pig! She's not 100% and she said her cheeks were hurting. I think she meant her throat. I hope she hasn't got my tonsilitis. I gave her some calpol and it seems to have knocked her out! At least I can turn bloody pp of now!

foxythesnowman · 25/02/2008 16:42

EXACTLY Holly! For one farking day ...

anyway, sorry for not congratulating you on your parking! Well done!
