LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 01/03/2008 20:56

Doesn't she? I always worry about DSs behaviour when he is at other peoples houses, but I'm pretty sure he would never ignore another adult or answer back like that; and no way would he think it was OK to play in the bathroom sink (or he would ask first at least )

DD teething again today. She wouldn't feed from me this afternoon, and she refused a bottle tonight as well. I hope she isn't going to be awake and hungry all night.

milkyJammy · 01/03/2008 20:56

I don't remember DoDG or Z Cars. Now whether it's because I'm too young, I've got a crap memory, or I just never got to see them I don't know. I am aware of there existence though and did get the Evenin All reference.

Glad you got some advice on DS Sputnik. Hope he improves again now.

Oh yes I remember the Z Cars rabies thing. It clearly scarred a whole generation.

milkyJammy · 01/03/2008 20:58

Daisy - guddling?
I can imagine what it probably means, but never heard that term before. And yes, she does sound like a delight (not)

OP posts:
SisterSputnik · 01/03/2008 21:05

I was wondering about the guddling.

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 01/03/2008 21:23

guddling

BumperliciousNeedsaGlassofWine · 01/03/2008 21:26

Evening all (I am too young to remember such retro programmes )

Sputnik, at you having a paeds mobile no. I ring up my dr and if I am lucky I can have an appointment in 2 weeks Hope DS is better soon.

Daisy, what a fricking mare that girl sounds. Glad it puts DS in perspective. Assume you haven't told him about the new baby yet till you're out of the woods?

Foxy sounds like a lovely evening

Izzy hi! Sorry to hear about your mum. Good luck with your course though.

Holly, what a twunt! Why does he have to go out tomorrow morning? Hope he has made up for it today.

I had a lovely though unproductive day! I did go for a v short jog though, and made some soup. Spoke to my mum on the phone and told her about my day, and she apparently promptly rang up DH to thank him and tell him he was a "good man" Yet I look after DD every day... I'm telling you, men don't have to do much to get a bit of kudos!

BumperliciousNeedsaGlassofWine · 01/03/2008 21:28

Wow, daisy, what a good word! I don't think there is any other word in the Eng lang to describe that!

Just wondering daisy, are you going to be tandem feeding?

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 01/03/2008 21:30

lol bumper, you know you're getting old when things from your youth are described as "retro"

I'm desperate to tell DS, but he has had to deal with enoough grief in his short life so we're waiting until after our dating scan. I might get an early one though as I'm not too sure of my dates! I'm not really too sure of my last period. It might have been four weeks ago, but then again it might have been longer. Pretty sure we know the conception date though

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 01/03/2008 21:32

I've just started a thread about it bumper! My nips are getting bloody tender and sore, and after DD has been on for about ten minutes it's like hot needles. they ache for ages afterwards as well and at odd monets through the day. I'm not sure I can deal with it.

milkyJammy · 01/03/2008 21:41

Glad you had a good day Bumper. And I know what you mean about men!

Daisy. You've been through so much with teh BF. Should you give yourself a break before starting again with DC3? Only you can answer that of course - pay no attention to me sticking my nose in!

Dudes...register here for this year's M&B mag testing! Remember I got 4 free travel systems last year!!

Glad you had a good day bumper...as I said before, every day is fucking fathers' day! Dp is exhausted after lying on the sofa all day watching football! Poor baby, he is fast asleep .

Loving the word guddling! That is fab, never heard it before!

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 01/03/2008 21:53

there are loads of really expressive scottish words that have no english equivalent....DH used to look at me like a weirdo but uses lots of them himself now.

oooh, holly, I wonder if they are going to be roadtesting twin buggies? I'm off to register

BumperliciousNeedsaGlassofWine · 01/03/2008 21:55

I think there are upsides to tandem feeding though, but I have no idea what they are. Have you checked out kellymom? I think there is quite a lot of info bout tandem feeding on there.

Right I must go to bed soon, I keep leaving it too late and regreting it.

DD didn't feed much today so chances are I have an early wake up call to look forward to. She was pretty subdued without me all day apparently. She was really funny when she came home, didn't seem that pleased to see me and on the verge of tears, but I think in an "I missed you, you abandoned me you bitch, I'm going to sulk now" kinda way.

HollyPutTheHabitOn · 01/03/2008 21:56

There is a twin buggy testing tick box daisy. You choose four sections that you would like to test and if you get selected you will get some bits from one of them. It was great last year and I hope I get picked again. The only downside is keeping 4 pushchairs in your house for 2 months! Hope you have a garage!

BumperliciousNeedsaGlassofWine · 01/03/2008 21:58

Holly do you get to keep the stuff?

HollyPutTheHabitOn · 01/03/2008 22:00

Yep!!

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 01/03/2008 22:03

and give it away/sell it if you please

I've registered...for twin buggies, nappies car seats and slings.

HollyPutTheHabitOn · 01/03/2008 22:11

Indeed daisy!

I've registered for twin pushchairs, pushchairs, toddler car seats and highchairs.

BumperliciousNeedsaGlassofWine · 01/03/2008 22:13

Thanks Holly! I've entered Right, really off now!

HollyPutTheHabitOn · 01/03/2008 22:15

Night bumper xx

Daisy, my new nappies arrived this morning, I'm in love with the D'lish down the bottom! I got it in brown and it looks and feels like a teddy bear! The fit on ds is really good as well.

SisterSputnik · 01/03/2008 22:15

How's your DS now Holly? Got mine transferred to bed and night time dose of paracetamol in him, I'll probably be off in a min....

BumperliciousNeedsaGlassofWine · 01/03/2008 22:16

I did nappies (DH and I argued over that one), toys, slings, pushchairs.

HollyPutTheHabitOn · 01/03/2008 22:18

He's had some calpol and a sleep sputnik and seems ok. He is still a bit warm and won't let anyone else except me hold him, but fine apart from that. Hope yours is ok and you get some sleep x

nunobal · 01/03/2008 22:26

Makes me think that I want to stay in the UK Holly! I wonder if there is an equivalent in oz...

Sorry to all with poorly DCs. Hope they have a really restful night's sleep and everyone has a lovely Mother's Day (Hallmark or not).

N'night.
