Proud mummy alert - DS just walked across the room with his walker . He thinks it's a great game and keeps shouting for me to turn it around so that he can go back again.

milkyJammy · 29/02/2008 18:01

Excellent Fairy!

Thanks Jammy, he looked SO pleased with himself when DD and I clapped.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 29/02/2008 18:30

Bless him fairy!

I was looking at the Clarks cruising shoes in John Lewis today and just for a giggle I tried some on him. First I tried on a 3, as that's what size my dd's first shoes were, they were too small. So I tried on the next pair I picked up, they were a 4 1/2 and they fitted him! I was gobsmacked! He looked really cute though! Can't wait to get him his first pair of shoes!

I've already got one of those jammy! Well the duck one. Both the dcs love it.

annobal · 29/02/2008 19:26

Fairy, that's lovely! What a cutie.

Holly - it's gorgeous, definitely get it. I have a real thing for patchwork quilts. However, that horse is also gorgeous Jammy.

Daisy, I cried when I told nursery we were going to Oz and had to take DCs out of nursery (imagine what I'm going to be like when we actually leave )

Fury. Is he cute?

Like your new name Bumper (or is it not so new and I'm only just noticing it?).

DH out tonight so am having cheese and crackers and raisins for dinner , oh and grapes.

Now, what's a good girly movie I can watch and have a good cry at then have an early night?

foxythesnowman · 29/02/2008 19:32

Have you got Sky? Knocked Up was recommended to me today. Transformers? Surfs Up?

How's the packing going?

Clever Baby FairyFay!

LO has her first tooth emerging and is sitting up (still wobbles over though). Sob! She'll be asking for the car keys soon

annobal · 29/02/2008 19:37

LOL watched Transformers last week and was just looking up Knocked UP on IMDB - think that's going to be it...

Well done to Foxcub4 - lol, I have DS3 under strict instructions he's not to crawl in the next 3 weeks! Packing going ok - actually, I've only got another 3 cupboards to go through so there's not much more I can do...

foxythesnowman · 29/02/2008 19:40

Packing with a crawling baby would be a nightmare!

So, I haven't proposed to DP today.

He did send me a text this morning to remind me of the day ...

I sent one back saying, yes, I know the date and i haven't forgotten - there's a Mother's Day stall at school

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 29/02/2008 19:41

Knocked Up? Maybe daisy should watch that one!

I always watch Legally Blonde when in the mood for a chick flick, or Clueless. Moulin Rouge is always good for a cry I find!

Hope the packing is going well annobal. Are you well and truly bored of it yet?

Foxy, IKWYM! I've sort of come to terms with the fact that ds is no longer a baby, but a toddler . Shopping with my friend today made me wish I was having my first again. It was all so fun and new and exciting .

annobal · 29/02/2008 19:42

Ooo Foxy, 29th Feb, is there a romantic dinner tonight?

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 29/02/2008 19:43

I haven't proposed to my dp either foxy, but then we are sort of engaged, I think. Well I have a ring and that's all I was really concerned about!

annobal · 29/02/2008 19:46

Knocked up v good so far - doesn't need a whole lot of brain power so my sort of movie.

There isn't really much packing we can do - the removalists will do pretty much all of it - I just have to make sure we're down to what we want to take and that it will fit in a 20ft container.

Bugger, crying baby...

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 29/02/2008 19:50

Yawn...better go and make my dp something to eat and do the washing up. He'll be home soon.

I have mince and rice, I'm thinking meatballs, but I don't really fancy manhandling meat. Maybe chilli then. God I'm so boring.

milkyJammy · 29/02/2008 19:51

Love Actually is one of my top chick flicks.

DH was v.late tonight, his work's not going well Didn't help that he had to go to our nappy woman on the way home to pick up an order. I'd just finished bedtime as he got home (And what so-and-so let off a load of fireworks just as I was doing bedtime? Grrr ) And he's had to go straight up to the office to continue work as it all went pear shaped just before he left So I've finished off all the housework and am now wondering what we'll do for tea. I've requested a take aawy as I can't be bothered. And as he's left my Mothers Day card from the jamlet on his desk at work I don't think he's in a position to argue.

HellHathNoFury · 29/02/2008 19:51

For all those that asked - no he is not fit, more fat!!
Nice guy, a good mate but is full of lewd comments. I'm not bothered though.

I have just finished packing for a weekend away, the car is overloaded as we also have the sold bugaboo (and all of its bits) in the car too.

I am now shattered.

Down below is a bit better, hurt like hell earlier but am feeling normal now.

Annobal do you like knocked up? I want to see Juno.

ok I am now off to pack for ME - done the dog, baby, easter eggs, 2 prams, birthday and mothers day presents.... just me now

milkyJammy · 29/02/2008 19:53

(I wasn't cross about the card, these things happen and he did look sad about it and tired and fed up with everything. I'm not that harsh!)

foxythesnowman · 29/02/2008 19:53

Phew Fury! Hope you get some rest this weekend.

Yes, a romantic Italian dinner tonight. I'm having pizza and he is in Italy!

DKMA · 29/02/2008 19:53

Yeh!
Bloody hell!
Just scanned through and Daisy is pg!!!!!!!????????
Big congrats Daisy!!!!!!!!

BumperliciousNeedsaGlassofWine · 29/02/2008 20:02

OMG fairy that's amazing! DD's not doing anything interesting

Annobal, hope you enjoy your movie. I've got the Karen Carpenter Story on my BT vision. I watched it when I was a teenager and have wanted to watch it again, but I know I am going to blub and not sure if I could take the emotional trauma

Holly, I wouldn't go for the blanket for that much. I would get this or this and this. But just because I am a miser and I would rather get a few bits.

Sputnik · 29/02/2008 20:04

Evening all.
Annobal, I've been eating cheese and crackers, or yogurt and muesli for dinner for nearly a week, since DH has been away. It's great not having to cook!
I am getting a bit bored with that now though and actually ran to a salad tonight.

foxythesnowman · 29/02/2008 20:05

'lo DKMA! Nice to see you.

Jammy, Mr Jammy is aware that the shops are open tomorrow I take it?

Does Mother's Day really matter? Or is it just another Hallmark Holiday?

Personally I'm of the opinion that why wouldn't they want to take the opportunity to celebrate us

Sputnik · 29/02/2008 20:06

Don't worry Bumper, mine doesn't do anything interesting either. He is more of an intellectual than a man of action, I think
