Thanks fury, I can have a lemsip at 12, so hopefully that'll soothe me enough to allow me to eat lunch without wincing!

I shall save the valium for this evening when I know I'll feel like sitting in the car and crying!

Right, time to get my act together and make some lunch...broccoli and stilton soup or leek and potato?

Broccoli and stilton I think!

foxythesnowman · 26/02/2008 12:06

LOL at DD Holly

LittleMissNorty · 26/02/2008 12:54

Out of the mouthes of babes

Poor Holly ....hope you feel better soon.

I too had a crap night - even going to bed at 9pm didn't help. DD seems to have forgotten she's feeling much better and can sleep right through again ....Me and DH had work this morning....but who d'ya think got up for her??????

Anyway, she was screaming by 6am (wake-up time anyway for us) so I gave her some calpol and got her washed / dressed etc ready for nursery. Then I remembered she refused her bedtime bottle last night and hadn't eaten anything since 4.30pm yesterday afternoon......so who's a bad mother now ....not doing too well recently am I? She was all smiles after her bottle. Don't think she wanted it during the night though, but tbh that wouldn't even have crossed my mind, she hasn't been fed during the night since she was about 4 months old.

Well I have to admit to be glad I'm at work today and she's obviously ok at nursery otherwise they would have told me....

LittleMissNorty · 26/02/2008 12:56

My spelling is as good as ever ...I have been educated honestly.

Think I might have to get DD one of these

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 26/02/2008 13:03

Daisy could buy this one for her dcs!

Sorry you're feeling crappy norty and sorry your dh is being twunty. Hope it gets better soon x

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 26/02/2008 13:09

My ds needs this!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 26/02/2008 13:10

I've changed my mind...this one!

pmsl at the trucker T....that is fab

Mind you, the 100% BF one is appropriate too....When I was buying nappies last night, I ordered the Dryees in large as the weight range was from 20-38lbs and thighs 8-16in.

I measured DDs this morning to make sure they wouldn't be too loose....12in thighs, the little chubber

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 26/02/2008 13:34

Good job daisy! Chubby thighs rock! The large Bambineo wraps that fit my dd (who is also chubby of thigh) cause red lines on ds's legs! He is a bruiser!

Sputnik · 26/02/2008 13:41

LOL at your DD Holly, it's funny when they start picking up on things you always say (well usually). DD keeps saying (eg when I gave her a full kid-size watering can yesterday) "No Mummy, that will actually break my back" - DH's favourite phrase atm.

Re sore throats, have you tried propolis, bees make it (actually they collect it from plants) and it has some amazing anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. I used to flog it in my beekeeping days and you can get it in any chemist here, loads of people use it. I don't think it's as common in the UK but you should find it somewhere. Anyway it's great for small cuts and burns as well as sore throats.

Sputnik · 26/02/2008 13:47

LOL at the "Jesus was breastfed" t-shirts on that site!
Do you think they have "Genghis Kahn was breastfed" t-shirts too?

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 26/02/2008 13:48

is fury about? or holly? I know fury has sold on usednappies before, but not sure about you holly?

I've never sold anything on auction sites before, and I'm listing my nappies on used nappies. If I want to offer combined postageif someone buys from more than one auction, how do i do this? Do I need to put anything in the postage bit, or just leave it blank

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 26/02/2008 13:53

Or "Hitler was breastfed" ?! I love the breastfeeding and cloth nappies t-shirt, but I would never have the guts to put my dcs (or me) in one!

Is this the stuff sputnik? I'll look into it, thanks.

I have got stuff on there atm daisy. You just describe what you are selling and put a pic on. Then on the next step there is a section to put the postage prices. When the auction ends you send the winner an invoice (like on ebay) and you can fiddle with the postage on that if you've sold them more than one thing. Hope that makes sense.

Sputnik · 26/02/2008 14:06

That's what you need Holly. Worth a try if you can't use abs I reckon.

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 26/02/2008 14:10

cheers, holly. thst does make sense, but do I put in an amount anyway incase they haven't bought from my other auctions?

I have 23 items to list; it's going to be a slow job

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 26/02/2008 14:11

holly, are you selling little lambs? A RL friend of mine (yup, I do have one them) is bidding on little lambs atm.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 26/02/2008 14:11

I'm popping into town tomorrow, so I'll see if I can get some then. If not I'll get some from 'tinterweb. Thanks sputnik!

It's not that I can't use abs, it's that I don't like to. I'm already resistant to standard penicillin, it doesn't work. If I want to get rid of the tonsilitis I have to take a combo of 2 different abs and I don't like doing it, esp when bfing. I just have to lump it. If that bee stuff works I shall be very pleased!

YUM! I've put an offer in, hopefully it'll be accepted. If not I'll go to M/care next week and get this.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 26/02/2008 14:13

No, I've got some Airflows, a Rikki and some prefolds on atm. All my LLs went ages ago.

Yes, specify an amount anyway and make sure you tick the "buyer to pay postage" box.

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 26/02/2008 14:13

proud mummy moment....DD just recognised her first word (well other than NO that is). I asked her what she had in her mouth, and she put her hand up to it

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 26/02/2008 14:15

Aww bless her daisy!

HellHathNoFury · 26/02/2008 14:22

Hi Daisy
just popped in - you can't easily combine postage on usednappies, I just told people that I offered discounts, and that they should buy whatever they wanted and I would sent them an invoice with a revised amount.

HellHathNoFury · 26/02/2008 14:23

12 inch thighs!? good lord that's the same size as victoria beckhams waist

Sputnik · 26/02/2008 17:22
