I can admit that I actually felt envious of they were/are going through
But at the same time, I totally knew that it would not conciously happen again for us. And I don't feel sad about. I'm just going to be one of those women that gets gooey over pregnant women

oooggs · 16/02/2008 21:48

no more then runny?

elkiedee · 16/02/2008 21:55

runny, ooh exciting, hope to hear tomorrow.

Well, we've tried my ideas - two walks in buggy, more milk, none of it's working. We've not eaten, well I've been keeping going on biscuits but not good. I think I'm going to have to go upstairs and perhaps the 3 of us will ring my mum together to say hi and goodnight and then give D some Calpol and make ourselves comfortable for the long haul...

oooggs · 16/02/2008 21:57

over tired/controlled crying/shush&pat - just ideas elkie

elkiedee · 16/02/2008 22:00

Thanks oooggs, I think he's definitely overtired and teething. We've been using a version shush and pat with some success in the middle of the night - after a lot of awful nights when he was getting up for hours on end, most nights he has to be comforted in the cot but stays there and we get more sleep that way.

cazboldy · 16/02/2008 22:00

all in bed except Charlie who is having a snuggle with dh, and Molly, who is having her bedtime boobie right now!

oooggs · 16/02/2008 22:02

bless them caz

elkie - its hard when you 'don't know why'

oooggs · 16/02/2008 22:05

right too many of you must have got lives tonight

off to bed now as its past my bedtime!

night x

elkiedee · 16/02/2008 22:57

D asleep for the time being - having something to eat and then I'll probably go to bed as I've been up since 5.30, and not even because D woke us up.

Am meeting a couple of the May 2007 mums and babies hopefully next week - from thinking there'd be nothing to do at half term it could be a busy week!

Sleep vibes to all babies and other dcs, and Runny, we'll all be looking to enjoy that vicarious baby news tomorrow.

Maveta · 17/02/2008 07:44

Morning, hope you all have lovely days planned. I´m hoping to do very little but dh normally puts paid to that as he can´t sit still very long!

Went for a jog again yesterday for 30mins and then did 1.5 hour yoga class in the evening! I think I am insane. My whole body aches today and dh thinks we´re going for a jog again later I´m not committing myself to anything.

The yoga was fantastic though, was the first time I´ve been to a proper yoga centre with all the accessories and everything specially designed. Was totally amazing and I really want to try and make time to go once a week to just disconnect from everything.

And I am loving my new washing machine, never really realised just how rubbish our old one was, the clothes used to come out sopping wet and in winter take days to dry. Did two loads which I hung up on the airer inside yesterday about 4pm and it´s all almost dry!

liath · 17/02/2008 08:00

Morning,
Elkie, hope the night went OK.....

Maveta, very impressed at the yoga!

Off to my mum's for roast beef and yorkshire pudding! Yum!

oooggs · 17/02/2008 08:32

morning

awake with Erin at 1.30am - 2.30am - teeth
so gave calpol & milk & took her to bed with us (we were both up as she woke Jack )

she tossed & turned and slept a bit until 5.30am so I have been up since then

Erin & I watched Holby City before the boys woke.

Very cold down here (probably not in comparison to up north) and frosty on the ground.

wow maveta at jog & yoga

liath - enjoy lunch

elkie - hope the night was ok

StealthPolarBear · 17/02/2008 08:35

PillockOfTheCommunity · 17/02/2008 10:02

morning all, haven't caught up, fell asleep as soon as boys went to bed last night after being out doing access visits/swimming/football etc all day.

Had a phonecall from the mother of M's best friend, D. She wondered if D could come to play today for a few hours as she had some accounts work she needs to get done. M really misses D as he's only at nursery 2 days and M is there 5, so I said yes. Then my friend who works at Centre Parcs (I'm about 20 mins from Elveden Forest one) suggested I could take the boys there to swim and he'll come with me to help out.

So now I'm taking M, D (who is 3 weeks older than M but half the size!) and J for an afternoon at Centre Parcs!

get the vodka chat ready for when I return this evening

will catch up then, promise!

xx

ooh, just skimmed through, hair is ok, but did require a quick re-do next morning!

I did it with a pre-lightener then a natural light blonde, and I swear, carrots are less orange

So I rang Andy (M's dad) and got him to go get me a natural light brown!

M turned up and asked me why I didn't want to keep my hair orange (proof if it were needed that it was a rather shocking colour!)

So I swiftly dyed it again and it's now back to its dark blonde natural colour!

WO
am all now that I've read your news Re: work, that's really fab!

can't get any further up as they're going mad - time to get out of the house!

CaptainDippy · 17/02/2008 10:20

Ooooh, have fun POTC and let me know what it is like as we're going there at the end of April Glad hair disaster seems to have been abated - can't swimming do weird things to recently dyed hair though!!!!?

Sexonlegs · 17/02/2008 10:36

Hi all.

Oooggs, oh dear, what a pants night. Hope you get a better one tonight.

POTC, glad your hair has been recovered! Enjoy your day.

Dippy, your poor dd's. Hope they are feeling brighter soon.

Hi Liath, think I saw a post from you too Enjoy your mum's roast beef

Elkie, hope your night was ok in the end.

Hi Mav, hope you are all ok.

OK here. K's eyes are still yukky. Am going to get dh to take her to the docs tomorrow. I did get some over the counter stuff. I was v naughty and said it was for me . She doesn't seem fussed by it, but is under the weather with a grotty cold poor love.

No plans today. Feeling v lethargic and can't be arsed and in need of a break from things. I am feeling very bored with life.

Sorry, self absorbed.

mammyjo · 17/02/2008 10:37

Have a good day pillock

WO, I am so pleased that work has turned out the right way for you, yippee Tough luck for the boss really, they have no choice but to get on with it, thank goodness you were strong enough to fight for what you needed.

Oooggs, sounds like the high chair thing is the best idea. Must be so difficult with two needing bed at the same time. Did you get any response on the multiples thread?

Caz, hope you get good news tomorrow

CD, poor little P, hope she is feeling much better soon xxx

I cant remember any more now, normally take notes but did that from memory! Clearly my memory is not particularly great anymore

Quiet day here, dh and ds off fishing so just the girls in the house. F still snotty. I think that she gets rid of one thing, goes back into nursery on a Thursday and picks up something else! Have a good day all

mammyjo · 17/02/2008 10:39

Hi SOL I know exactly how you feel, seems like we are all getting a bit like that just now. Its really hard isnt it, life just seems so mundane at times. Hope you get some time to yourself today just to relax xxx
