Oooggs, B used to be like that at preschool and say that she wanted Holly (one of the nursery nurses) to be her mum . She just grew out of it thankfully. I did feel dreadfully embarrassed though.

Mav, I am ok (ish) with me being sick, but it is when others are sick in front of me, or if I see sick on the pavement. Even if B says she has a tummy ache, I get really panicy. In fact, it was one of the reasons why I put off having children for so long!

Sexonlegs · 11/02/2008 21:12

Sorry, not Mav, MJ! See I am so pre-occupied that I am getting names mixed up!!

Pesha · 11/02/2008 21:14

Oooggs - ds1 always says he doesnt want to come home when he's been at someone else's house! Home is normal so not as exciting as nursery or wherever, I think its quite normal.

SOL - hope K keeps it all in for you! Lol at MJ's comment about drinking till sick!

SPB - lol at dh and his wine and fish!!

IDOC - I hope talking to your bf tomorrow helps. MJ's suggestions about talking to your dh sound good, men really can be very dense and need things spelling out for them. Please do come and moan to us.

Ellie - I wouldn't take M out of school for the first week if I were you either. Its not just friends but also that first week is when they start to learn the rules and routines and whereabouts of school. I think it is quite an important week, sorry!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 11/02/2008 21:20

don't worry oooggs, i have the same with M every day (and it's just soooo annoying!)

PillockOfTheCommunity · 11/02/2008 21:21

It's ok, I thought it was one of the more important weeks too!
now getting annoyed with the easyjet website, they can't do anything after 28 September on that route

Hi everyone
IDOC, sorry you seem so Sounds like you're both tired/stressed/fed up
SOL, hope K is OK, does she seem well other than that?
Hi everyone else

Sexonlegs · 11/02/2008 21:40

Hi SPB, she seemed fine (asleep since 7ish) and no noises so far. Dh thinks he gave her too much tea, followed by milk an hour and a half later, and that she had a coughing fit and puked. Keep your fingers crossed that's all it was!

I am driving dh mad though by panicing - he just doesn't get it

How's T tonight? Have you emailed me yet??

StealthPolarBear · 11/02/2008 21:42

Fingers crossed!
Arrgh no, so sorry I forgot!
Will do it now, talktalk, that's right/.

StealthPolarBear · 11/02/2008 21:43

you have very appropriate initials

runnyhabbit · 11/02/2008 22:15

J had a massive meltdown at bedtime would not stop crying for an hour. Tried cuddling him, telling him off everything. In the end, I put him in his bed and told him if he woke his brother up I would be v cross. Didn't shout, but my tone of voice must've worked. So bloody draining

pillock I'm going to Majorca in May!!!!! We're flying from Cardiff on May 9th

idoc I know pretty much how you're feeling, but agree with MJ that you should try and talk to dh. My dh still needs things pointed out to him. I think he thought that PND could just stop. But it doesn't. Strange as it sounds, it took my HV to explain it to him. She came out to us at W 7mth check up, and asked how I was doing. Luckily dh was at home when she visited, and tbh, she understood exactly how I felt, and explained it to dh so well. Iyswim.

and hello to everyone else

Dh is away til Wednesday, have decided to potty train J this week. And the water will be off from 8am til 11pm every day this week although it cam back on at 8pm tonight

am completely cream crackered, so am off to be bed.

night all
x

weeonion · 11/02/2008 23:42

spb - i replied to your email

where is gmm - anyone heard from her?

elkiedee · 12/02/2008 00:10

Maveta, John Lewis online sells doidy cups for £3.50 each with free standard uk delivery within 5 days if there isn't one near enough to your sister (my nearest shops are Brent Cross and Oxford Street). My last couple of orders were delivered within 2 or 3 days.

StealthPolarBear · 12/02/2008 07:30

sorry to have a winge but we have been up since 5.40 and now it seems like T is in a very bad mood today - just wants to be held all the time. I just need something to be easy!
I know my nights aren't that bad compared to a lot of you, sorry

Maveta · 12/02/2008 07:38

thanks elkie!

runny - I remember! am looking forward to it What a PAIN about the water, i remember in our old house the water would just go off for hours unexpectedly and it is very hard to cope without water. Once (I think I maybe told you all about it) I had just opened a chicken, put oil and salt etc all over it and VOILA! Water went off. And me with stinky chicken hands. I started ranting at a neighbour about how ridiculous this was, waving my chickeny hands around LOL

SOL- hope K was ok

Pillock - also check out www.skyscanner.net if you don´t know it already, can flag up great deals on flights like Thomsonfly that you wouldn´t normally think to check. And if you select ´whole month´ instead of a day you can see when it´s cheapest to go.

Oooggs - that must be horrible, I know it will happen sooner vs later with N, esp. with his Nana who he already loves so much.

Mammyjo - I don´t really know the resorts well from the point of view of staying in them.. Pollensa is nice too.. um.. I know people go to the south east of the island and it´s much quieter down there and the beaches are really lovely but I don´t know much about actual resorts there. I would think they are all much of a muchness though. I can try to help with car hire if you let me know your dates although my sister got a really cheap deal that she booked from the UK when she came. It was about 90 quid for 5 days or something. I´ll try and find out from her where it was.

Maveta · 12/02/2008 07:41

sorry SPB! N was unsettled last night too.. up at 11pm and wouldn´t settle for an hour, was very grouchy and I think something was hurting him/uncomfy then up again at 3am and didn´t settle til after 4am (in our bed) and then up at 7.15am. Siiiigh.

Actually we´re having a nappy prob at the moment.. off to post of the nappy board, he has started wetting right through at night and I don´t know why or what to do (disposables at night and he´s at the bottom of the weight range on that size).

StealthPolarBear · 12/02/2008 07:44

oh no
same here with the wetting thing!! just the last 3 nights, except not sunday night as i changed him. How odd. Surely uit can't be time to move up already??

StealthPolarBear · 12/02/2008 07:45

you think they are twins, separated at birth?
oh no, that would mrean one of us didn't actually give birth, I certainly did, sure you'd say the same!

Sexonlegs · 12/02/2008 08:01

Morning all.

Pants to bad night SPB. Not sure what to suggest re the wet nappies. We get them occasionally, but it doesn't bother K in the slightest.

Well K seems fine. No sick in the night. She doesn't seem overly hungry - only had 3 ounces of milk and half her breakfast, but she has a snotter of a cold - when she sneezes she has snotty bubbles coming out of her nose! Sorry for way tmi!

How is everyone else today?

Need to get off my backside and get sorted. See you later.

CaptainDippy · 12/02/2008 09:52

Glad K seems ok today SOL

Arse water going off, Maveta

Oh IDOC - you sound so down I am sorry you are feeling like this and I am sorry DH is being such an arse Here for you sweetie. You are welcome to come and stay here if you need to get away a couple of days!!? xxxx

Exciting about POTC's potential trip to Spain Would be cool if you co-incided with runny!

Think the bathroom conspiracy, humous me and great newts should all go into the next thread title somehow

I am ok, DH has hurt his back and is off work today poor thing. Older 2 at nursery, P in bed so just catching up on stuff....

StealthPolarBear · 12/02/2008 10:25

Glad K is OK apart from the cold SOL
Dippy, is your DH's back as bad as my hanging off fingerr was??
wo, I was going to ask about GMM as well but didn't thinkit would do my reputation as he no1 stalker any good would you normally be seeing her in the week?

cazboldy · 12/02/2008 10:41

hi all - just a quick update - haven't had time to catch up!

what a day yesterday!

went down to get the details on the house, and was tols that the lady had decided to sell instead

asked the lady to check - as we really needed that house and left feeling really upset and worried again

took all the dc shopping - which although they behaved quite well, did nothing to improve my mood!

when i got home she had left a message saying that there had been crossed wires - the lady had said that if she didn't let it this week, then she would have to sell as she lets her houses as her income.

got my sister to come and sit with the kiddies and dashed off to view the house. It is only 2 years old, and is immaculate ( a bit intimidating to a country bumpkin like me!) filled in the application form, and called in at the farmers on the way back to give him the form so he can fill in his bits - and I had to ask for £1800 i.e the deposit and the first months rent! he should be ringing me today when he has filled in the form so I can go and sort out the rest - still in fingers crossed mode! see you all later

CaptainDippy · 12/02/2008 11:01

OOOOOOOH, hopey ou get it Caz - thinking and pryaing - do pop back and let usk now when you can

Ooooh, DH's back is obviously much worse than your hanging off finger, SPB - becasue he is a man!!

StealthPolarBear · 12/02/2008 11:04

good luck caz!

oooggs · 12/02/2008 11:04

thank you for making me feel that I am not such a shit mum and that home isn't too bad and I am glad (if you know what I mean) that your children at similar ages do the same and would prefer to stay at nursery/nanas/anywhere really

runny - good luck with potty trainging - my worst nightmare

where is gmm?

sounds great caz

half term here so all home with nothing to do as toddlers groups etc don't run in half term and ds1 doesn't go to nursery on tuesdays

up early, Erin fed herself 7oz of milk with no help - great for me with 2 to feed
by 8am all fed, dressed, showered (me), washing out, another load on, dishwaher on,
beds made, tided up and out for a walk at 9.30am

StealthPolarBear · 12/02/2008 11:05

morning oooggs or can i call you superwoman?
