Yeah right, the chances of me getting a foreign holiday are slim me thinks, only ever been on a plane twice.

Matthew's dad is off out your way tomorrow, on a work trip

And I do NOT have a wrinkly bum!

SPB, tell him he can be there the first time T gets adventurous and jumps off the swing!

CaptainDippy · 11/02/2008 12:41

No need to pay me, POTC - I love ^yooooou!!* A gift from dribbly P to gorgeous little J! xx

Maveta · 11/02/2008 12:53

you never know potc! what's your nearest airport? (oh humour me)

hahah.. just typed 'oh humous me'

SPB - poor dh, sounds as sappy as mine

Maveta · 11/02/2008 12:55

am doing a quote for a shoot out here for a very famous band. but it'll probably be on another island so i won't get to meet them

must think of how to wangle myself over there...

StealthPolarBear · 11/02/2008 12:56

he loved the swings! But he also just really enjoyed being in the park, watching the other children and dog and looking round.
Sure DH will be fine Remember it's his PFB too

Bramshott · 11/02/2008 13:01

Just popping by to say morning! Have read a tiny bit:

Caz - good news about the house. Fingers crossed!

Pesha - arse about the job.

Ummmm. Mind gone blank.

Better go and get some lunch for me and O. Have finally listed all my stuff on ebay and am very excited that I have some bids already, despite it not ending until next Sunday!!

AngeG · 11/02/2008 13:26

Hello

Have been trying to catch up!!

Caz (it was me that asked) really pleased the farmer was good about it and hope it gets sorted.

Runny - yay to bathroom finished.
SPB - Hope yours is finished soon.

Pesha - about the job, maybe it wasn't meant to be. Hope you find something soon.

Hi Maveta, about your friend.
Hi Bramshott, have you heard from IDOC, haven't seen her in a while!

Blank brain!!

Having a bit of a bathroom nightmare here too, the shower has sprung a leak, so am waiting for the plumber to arrive!

StealthPolarBear · 11/02/2008 13:36

oh no ange, hope it's easily fixed
(well just difficult enough to justify the call out charge but not so much you pay extra )

Maveta · 11/02/2008 13:42

what's going on with all of you lot and bathrooms! all very odd.

StealthPolarBear · 11/02/2008 13:49

April 07 - the great bathroom conspiracy (UK only)

mammyjo · 11/02/2008 13:51

Hello!! I also do not have a wrinkly bum, but it is probably on the scale of an elephants behind (although getting a bit smaller as I have now lost a whole stone!). Not that I am pleased or anything

Caz, I am so pleased that you may have managed to make the whole move more do-able on you all. See, it takes the sense of a woman to come up with a workable solution!

Oooggs, so glad to hear the vomiting has stopped. Hope they are both much better today

SPB, I was just thinking about T. He couldnt be overtired could he? It just always seems to be late when you post so I wondered what sort of time he goes to bed. I am sure you have already thought of this anyway, but just thought I would mention it

Pillock, glad you had a good night on Saturday. Typical that you both liked each other and he is buggering off to Australia!

CD, I was due April 1st aswell, same as your friend. Hope she is ok

Maveta, sorry to hear about your friend miscarrying. Not sure about the book. I am lucky never to have been in her position so I wouldnt be sure whether something like that could be too close to home, or maybe a source of comfort. Sorry, not much help I know.

I know I will have x posted with this as it has taken well over an hour to type. I keep getting interrupted!

Maveta · 11/02/2008 14:00

lol SPB!

Mammyjo that's great re. the weight loss! loads of you are being very disciplined.. I am impressed. Am feeling very in the mood for getting fit so hope to go for another jog. tomorrow. maybe. or maybe not.

Ooh yes MJ ages ago you asked what diet I was on. I have joined Tesco diets as it was only £30 for 10 weeks but they sent me a thing for 1000 extra clubcard points for joining which is worth £40 in deal points and I'm saving my points for a holiday to france so it seemed like a good deal. Also I cant get out to slimming type things in the evenings cos of dp's work. It has loads of nice recipes and things and very filling stuff (am on the GI diet plan) but haven't lost weight this week which is a bit specially with me exercising so much. Think I might reduce their portion sizes a bit.

Although I have just bought these new scales as my last ones I could change my weight by up to half a stone depending whereabouts I stood on them so decided they prob werent the most accurate!

Sexonlegs · 11/02/2008 15:12

Afternoon all.

Just nipping in, as am at work.

Maveta, really sorry to hear about your friend miscarrying. I just sent my friend a card when it happened to her saying I was thinking of her and her dh, and to let me know if she needed anything.

POTC, glad you had such a great evening.

MJ, fantastic mews re the weight loss! Fabulous.

Pesha, what a bloody cheek re the job. I would keep the cover letter brief tbh, as imho, they don't count that much - it is more the CV/application form. Also, I get bored if it is too long and waffly!!
Happy for you to email me

Hi to Bramshott, Ange, Luce and everyone else I have missed! Will be back on later. Best go and finish up before heading home!

NorthernLurker · 11/02/2008 15:17

hello all

haven't really got time to catch up properly but just wanted to say hi
I'm doing a job form for work - ugh!
Caz - saw you had thought of a plan B - brilliant, well done!
Dippy - sleeping bag is here - B is in it and yelling rather than napping

bcak later to catch up with everyone

byeeeeee

PillockOfTheCommunity · 11/02/2008 16:35

Actually quite well served airport wise maveta, I live 45 mins from Stansted!

OP posts:
Maveta · 11/02/2008 17:26

POTC - that´s great, flights are always cheaper from stansted. Bear it in mind, you´d be welcome, we could make a room for you and your boys and I work full time april - oct so you´d be left to your own devices most of the time (i.e. you won´t have to worry about being forced to spend too much time together if you I turn out to be a complete freak ) There´s a village pool and trains to Palma. I had a quick look and it would be about 150 quid for you and both your boys in september, just as an idea. You could probably get cheaper esp if you keep an eye out for the easyjet sale.

oooggs · 11/02/2008 17:57

ellie - sounds like a great offer - go on fly to Spain the boys would love it

ds1 pushing it at every opportunity - everything seems to be a 'deal'/'bribe' and it is getting to me. He has just been told off by dh and left the room slamming the door

PillockOfTheCommunity · 11/02/2008 18:45

ooh how much would I love to do that!
M starts school in September though, although he's not 5 until the 25th so doesn't legally have to be there until then....

I have a passport and so does M so just J to get one for....

but I think I'd be lost with you at work all day!

OP posts:
Maveta · 11/02/2008 18:51

I only said september because it´s far enough away for you to save a bit and it´s normally a teeny bit cooler (and cheaper) than august but there´s no reason why it couldn´t be anytime. Think about it anyway, I bet I could find a good deal on a car if you wanted one for a day or two and if not, like I said there are trains to Palma (30min journey..slow train!) and you wouldn´t need much to keep you busy..imagine you´d be at the pool all morning with your boys and then sleeping off the heat all afternoon

Imagine a few nice, warm, summer evenings on the roof terrace with a big glass of red...

Pesha · 11/02/2008 19:10

Sounds like a great idea Ellie if you dont go I will

Maveta · 11/02/2008 19:19

it is with great trepidation of a potential avalanche of april mnetters falling on me that I say the invitation is open to any of you, really

{{{{runs screaming for cover}}}}

PillockOfTheCommunity · 11/02/2008 19:30

well I've had a quick look, it's quite cheap to come out in April/May, and I could ask for money for my birthday from family to fund it, but that kinda depends on when you're celebrating N's birthday? I'm not sure whether I feel safe going on a plane alone with my 2, I might fall asleep, but
aaaaargh
I so want to do it!

Is there a patch of floor I could put Skott on?
