SCOOT!!!!! Feck it all, how could i ever forget my hair twin?! She has relocated too, less call for wellies i think in her new abode. She is currently not having a great time as she must return to work very soon and is not ready to leave her gorgeous girls. She is going to be knocked up again soon though i just know it, vying for my top position as most prolific breeder on the thread Her work have been hideous to her recently and it was nearly a thread rally to the offices to defend her. Pitch forks were at the ready. I was bringing the hair straightners. Where are you Scoot?

largeginandtonic · 22/02/2008 17:24

Feckity feck!

jUICYLUCY and Pebble too!!! Shoot me now, i am useless.

JL has been lurking too i fear as we have not heard much, i am very jealous though as she Tam and JW are all going to have a meetup soon. I think Scoot may going too.

Pebble is currently trying to organaise ds1's birthday party, she is putting us all to shame with her party prowess. DS would like a guest appearance from a footballer! I know nothing about football but i am gessing it costs alot to get one?! A is quite a mover and i think may be one of the first to walk. They have also been on a fantabulous holiday to Disney and i am very

Mrsjaffabiffa · 22/02/2008 17:32

Are you really back SOH? We have missed you. Darn internet/depths of Norfolk!!!

Sky at least they are aware of the group B strep!

Oh I drooled at donalds

AbbyLou · 22/02/2008 17:59

Hi all, lovely to hear from you SOH. Good to have you back - hope you haven't caught online pox yet! We are all recovered now. Kids have had a lovely time this afternoon. We visited a friend from NCT classes the 1st time for a birthday tea for her ds who was 3 this week. All the lo (1st generation) have 'known' each other since they were bumps and it's lovely to see how nicely they all play together. The ongoing support from this group of friends has been a vital part of my life since I met them.
LG&T thanks for you fab update, I'm sure it helped all of us not just SOH. I feel as though my wrist has been well and truly slapped. I will try and post more! Having said that it's back to work on Monday so who knows...

liahgen · 22/02/2008 18:07

largeginandtonic · 22/02/2008 18:25

Mrsjaffabiffa · 22/02/2008 18:29

Welcome liahgen to the mad house!
5dc's Wow, you are right up in the ranks with lg&t then who has 6 27.

largeginandtonic · 22/02/2008 18:29

Tis nice to have her back to blame stuff on

Do you bake Lia? If you do i am seriously spooked.

cameroonmama · 22/02/2008 18:31

Mrsjaffabiffabeanpole, is your house really called The Cherries? That's really sweet. How is the kitchen?

Mrsjaffabiffa · 22/02/2008 18:33

Good time to join I think after lg&t's news summary. Could you do one every month please to keep us all on top!

Mad May's Monthly Round up
By the one and only super mummy - lg&t.

Mrsjaffabiffa · 22/02/2008 18:39

PMSL at MrsJbeanpole! Not quite yet...

Yes Cam it is called The Cherries. We have 2 beautiful cherry trees in the garden. More importantly we are from Bournemouth -- The cherries are AFC Bournemouth!

Kitchen is fab, think it's help contribute to the shrinking me as I don't mind spending more time in there cooking and preparing yummy SW meals.

Anyone like Allbran? I have a low fat chocky cake recipe made from allbran. PMSL, Takes 6 minutes to cook in a micro, looks like chocolate cake but tastes like breakfast!!

elkiedee · 22/02/2008 18:42

Hi liahgen

Your youngest has the same dob as my baby (just one).

You're brave to consider a 6th.

My baby was born in May but he was due in April so I normally post on April 2007, but started dropping in here on antenatal when the other April posters were all having their babies and I was lonely and bored waiting. And I've recently started to drop by again.

Congratulations on the house move SOH.

An entertaining update from lgt there, thanks! Is MumtoCharlotteMay (have I got the current name right?) around at the moment?

largeginandtonic · 22/02/2008 18:52

Gah! My incompetance is rife today. Thanks Elkidee

Yes SOH, Elkidee drops by sometimes to see us, she doesnt post enough either. She may be going to the meetup too

Now Mum2CM is around too, she is going for therapy due to living with her youger sister OR it could be as due to having CM and her hormones are a leeetle bit crazy. Despite this there has been talk of Broodiness recently! She has also been off on a week away to London Her mom is poorly at the moment so she is having to play nurse and look after CM. CM is still yet to have her jabs as she keeps forgetting

OHMIGOD i just remebered someone else. She will kill me too > PINKJENNY!!! Mum to the gorgeous Lexie who's favoured pastime is diving off the bed and sending her mother in to panic mode. She is on first name basis with all the A&E docs I keep begging for a visit but she has not appeared on my doorstep yet.

liahgen · 22/02/2008 18:53

Sorry had to post and run, had to fit in a game of bingo with the littlies, then bed. All quiet now, well, that is except for ds 10 coughing his head off, which he has been doing all week!!

Lol, yes i bake, though not quite as often as I would like, my rl friends laugh at me for producing a birthday cake before the school run couple weeks ago... 6.30am is the best time imo before morning rush starts.
That said, i am NOT a morning person by birth, unfortunately only one of my kids has followed my lead.
Mrs Jaffa, I like Allbran, does the cake actually taste like it is good for you? If so, I won't make it.
Need desperatley to go on a diet, Got Annie's christening 30 march, and I weigh more now, than 5 weeks after she was born.

Love the monthly round up, fab for a newbie like me.

largeginandtonic · 22/02/2008 18:55

I might cut and paste it all together but fear i have left someone else out

I hope you blardy appreciate this you lazy lovely lady I am being crucified here and it's not feckin Easter yet

AbbyLou · 22/02/2008 19:01

Hi Liahgen, welcome to the madhouse that is May 2007!
(How was that LG&T - 2 posts in an hour and I fitted in nathing and feeding Ruby in between!)

AbbyLou · 22/02/2008 19:02

bathing
Made a spelling mistake on purpose of course so I could post again.

largeginandtonic · 22/02/2008 19:15

Retreats upstairs to watch dh painting the bathroom, baby gone to bed I am taking a beer with me too, last night of peace before the kids return....

AbbyLou · 22/02/2008 19:22

Aaah LG&T, I bet you've missed them like crazy haven't you? It's nice to have some peace from them but it's always nice to get them back isn't it? Mind you, I'm saying that when I've only got 2 not 6....
Dh has gone to the chippy for tea tonight as neither of us can be arsed to cook, the wine is chilling and the los are fast asleep. Tomorrow I get to go and choose my car, I'm very excited as I've never had a brand new one before.
Tonight I must open my school work and at least make a list of jobs....

Pebblemum · 22/02/2008 19:33

LG&T J might like a footballer but am pretty sure he wont be getting one, unless I can find someone with contacts or win the lottery Dh always tries to get the kids what they want but dont think even he can swing that one lol

My parents have informed me that they will not be here for my 30th in April, they are going to Majorca. They had totally forgotten it was my 30th, thats nice of them isnt it lol. I was planning on having a girlie night out with my mum, sis and friends but will have to wait 2wks before mum can come out with me (the day they come home is the day we go to the cottage in Devon)Oh well at least they are making the most of their retirement, they've already booked a hol for June as well

Pebblemum · 22/02/2008 19:44

I actually wrote that post ages ago but forgot to send it doh!

Welcome Liahgen, another mad woman in the house lol.

Abby I couldnt be arsed to cook either and as dh took me shopping just before he left for work I decided it was a good excuse to stop for KFC

LG&T I like the way you think, let dh do the work while you sit back with a beer and supervise.

TillyScoutsmum · 22/02/2008 20:33

Welcome Liahgen (I would say to the mad house but if you have 5 dc's, it probably won't seem that mad here after all )

T is in bed, I have a big glass of vino collapso in hand, DP is cooking Spag Bol and we have an American Idol fest planned ... Life is good

liahgen · 22/02/2008 20:50

dh just called from train to say order a pizza for 9.15, Got bit carried away, £25!! well ben and jerry's calling out to me.

Was that me tht posted about dieting,?? Wouldn't want to start encouraging young girls to worry about weight watching now would i? I've got an impressionable teen in the house.

My best mate also has 5 kids and we regularly leave all kids at each others houses when we got appt, etc. They no trouble. Much harder my other friends single 3 yr old, she IS hard work.

AbbyLou · 22/02/2008 21:49

Just had a really horrible episode with R. She was crying so dh went up to her, usually sticking the dummy back in is all she wants and she goes straight back to sleep. Anyway, by the time he got up there she was screaming hysterically, no tears but massive, wretching sobs. She was just doing short, high-pitched screams over and over again. We tried everything to get her out of it but it was like she was posessed. We tried cuddles, talking, playing, dh even tried shocking her out of it by making loud noises and holding her upside down. Nothing worked. Eventually he brought her downstairs and I took her and after a while she gradually calmed down. It took a good 15 minutes. It was really horrible to watch and listen to, she has never been like that before. When I tried to put her back in bed she started again so I sat in the dark with her until she fell asleep on my knee. Of course she woke up as soon as I put her down but apart from a couple of murmurs she seems to have settled now. I don't know if she was having some sort of night terror or what but it really frightened us.
