You've convinced me, will have a cup of tea instead

HellHathNoFury · 17/01/2008 14:37

meeting done
and memory of it - wiped

I really need to be more alert/awake for this job, so far I have just found I am excellent at nodding and bluffing

watching it on news24 atm - can he not fly to Gatwick or Stanstead?

foxythesnowman · 17/01/2008 15:02

What has happened?

LittleMissNorty · 17/01/2008 15:04

plane crash-landed, landing wheels come off, only JUST made it to runway....only minor injuries to 4 so v lucky. Not terrorism linked apparently

foxythesnowman · 17/01/2008 15:05

Oh, just looked on Sky.

LittleMissNorty · 17/01/2008 15:07

I just turned it over from the crap baby TV that DD loves and they haven't talked about anything else yet

sputnik · 17/01/2008 15:09

crash landing seems everyone got off ok though.

LOL, DH just called to ask if I'd like him to go to the supermarket! I think he reads this thread sometimes [waves]

foxythesnowman · 17/01/2008 15:10

School run time.

I've done bugger all today, and I've got so much bastard stuff to do. Everything from putting 3 baskets of washing away to stuffing 30 farking party bags.

On the plus side, my dinner is smelling lush!

LittleMissNorty · 17/01/2008 15:16

That's a result Sputnik ...my DH never asks me questions like that

Blimey...better go and cook my dinner!

sputnik · 17/01/2008 15:21

I've told him we'll manage, would rather have him home earlier.

Baby Sputnik has crashed out bottomless in the play-gym

HellHathNoFury · 17/01/2008 15:27

Hi Mr Sputnik!

My DH doesn't read my emails let alone my 'hobby stuff'

OP posts:
sputnik · 17/01/2008 15:34

Don't know if he really does read this, just that we are so perfectly psychically attuned

Think he would secretly like being called Mr Sputnik though

HellHathNoFury · 17/01/2008 15:36

I think my DH would like to be called Mr Sputnik too. Slightly nerdy and cool.

We are coming to Rome in October!

OP posts:
LittleMissNorty · 17/01/2008 15:38

tbh I'd rather do the shopping myself...DH would come back with EXACTLY what I asked for, and nothing more.....then tell me about this is on BOGOF and that was a really good offer

Any luck Andie? Can DH get home?

BadZelda · 17/01/2008 15:38

yay got iPhone! Now can mumsnet from anywhere!

sputnik · 17/01/2008 15:45

"Slightly nerdy and cool", that's me. Though I prefer the word geek
Well we have a date for october then Why are you coming to Rome?

HellHathNoFury · 17/01/2008 15:46

it's our anniversary, we are leaving DS at home with my mum!

OP posts:
sputnik · 17/01/2008 15:49

Hi BadZ
Would rather do the shopping myself too, apart from the bit at the end with the credit card.

sputnik · 17/01/2008 15:52

You'll probably want to be alone then

HellHathNoFury · 17/01/2008 15:59

well I'm sure we can meet for a coffee or panini or some such, we won't be busy ALL 5 days

OP posts:
HellHathNoFury · 17/01/2008 16:00

plus we need insider knowledge for where is the best place to go for dinner!

OP posts:
sputnik · 17/01/2008 16:05

Humphhhh
Last time I really went out to dinner in the centre of Rome was 5 or 6 years ago, and I can't remember the name of the place. Helpful eh?
