twinkle1 · 19/03/2008 16:49

Hi Nova,
Yeah i had one in before i had josh.I loved it
Yeah light bleeding is ok, it takes a while for the hormone coating to thin the linning of the womb.It should become sporadic bleeding and then light periods or none at all
As long as you are not in pain i would not worry
Hope this helps twinkle

novadandypowder · 19/03/2008 19:36

Cool, thanks Twinkle. I'm assuming it's just a settling down thing, but my DH is quite anxious to get things going again in the GOF dept . No pain apart from occasional period type cramping, it just feels a bit weird knowing that there is something in there!

BrownieBells · 19/03/2008 21:26

Hello - glad to hear you are being sensible panda girl (is this the name we are now calling you - am getting confuddled myself now!)
Nova - glad Miniman is better - boo to poor noo being poorly, but a minibreak at beach house is def in order hey!?

Diege - GOF!? deary me, it makes a girl blush hey!? did think about joining a ttc thread, but couldn't find the one you were talking about - might look again later.

Hi girls, sorry for not posting again but T is really poorly, he has d&V for 5 days now and is showing absolutely no signs of improving, so we're all very stressed.

Only popped on as I saw an advert about a Burlesque show and remembered that a couple of you were interested in this, it's a charity event called The Bulesque Charity Ball on 24th May at the Hotel Russell, Russell Square. Dress code strictly black tie, tickets are £95 to include a champagne reception, dinner, wine & entertainment in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support and Wheels for Africa. more info www.diamondsandpearlsevents.co.uk

Am discussing going with dh!

Hope everyone is well and that all bumps are behaving themselves. love to all Beks

BTKsmum · 19/03/2008 22:12

Twinkle

ChaCha · 20/03/2008 11:49

Morning all,
Just a quick message, hope you all have great Easter hols whatever you're doing. We have a wedding to attend and a few days away so hopefully catch up once back.
Have fun x

Rodeo · 20/03/2008 13:52

Afternoon
Jess been at playgroup this morning so I get a lazy afternoon while she sleeps it off!
Did post yesterday but computer annoyingly shut down, argh, and didn't have the time or energy to post again, we were in the middle of Easter Bonnet crises looking forward to long weekend
Chacha, enjoy your weekend, looking forward to catching up on your news
Twinkle, twins group sounds great There is a multiple births section on MN isn't there, have you ventured over there yet?
Beks hope T recovers soon, poor boy Joe was a terribly sicky toddler, his bugs would stay for around 2 weeks and he'd have to survive on water, crackers and toast. Have you tried giving him Actimels or Yakults? Might give him a boost?
Aw BB - has Diege scared you off the ttc threads with all this GOF talk?! Good luck with your upcoming ttc progress, looking forward to 2 more BFPs soon from you and Diege! (Ooh you've got twins in the family I see!)
GG you enjoy yourself this weekend you dirty stop-out remember to sleeeep!
Diege, the girls break up today don't they? Do you too? We've just got the long weekend then back to school for 2 weeks before our fortnight off. Did you have bonnet trauma last night? Went to see the children parading round in them this morning in the playground it was sooo cold! Poor little things!
Nova enjoy your time at the sea! How is Noo? Sore bottoms are the worst
Right going to make the most of my afternoon of peace by catching up on Lost, how naughty Speak later x

For the cat lovers - This is my sister's new addition
Daisy the cat

OP posts:
mypandasgotcrabs · 21/03/2008 09:16

BTKs, how's little man now?

Rodeo, Daisy is lovely, really reminds me of the last cat I had.

O won the easter bonnet parade for his year. ANd also won a prize at the easter raffle.

They've been let down once again by their dad. Afer the promises of having them all 4 nights, he did it again and told me 1/2 hour before he was due to have them that he wouldn't be able to al weekend. Says he's working everyday over Easter. That means he'l be earning approx. £500 this weekend and I still haven't seen any maintenance this month.

Had parents evening last night, which tbh I wasn't exactly happy with. I've been a little concerned with his progress, and it seems that he's really struggling emotionally at school. He's being really aggressive towards all staff (except his own teacher), but they've never approached me and told me this. I know they're giving him a bit of an allowance because of his circumstances, but they really should have told me about it. Grrr!

I got out anyway last night, but I'm not interested inseeing him again, bit of a lad tbh.

Well it's just started raining, was going to take the boys up tp Arundel, but looks like I won't be doing that now.

Have good weekends everyone who is away (and everyone who is not of course).

Diege · 21/03/2008 11:10

Hello! Happy Good Friday . PANDA that's so rubbish about you x-dp - have you mentioned the maintenance payments in light of the extra hours he's working? He can't have it both ways Must be stressful too to have to cope with ds1's problems at school - maybe try posting in parenting thread for some advice? Think it's quite a common thing for children if there have been changes at home, but obv needs addressing asap. Let us know how you get on!
BEKS, hope ds is on the mend - really horrible for everyone when they're poorly like that - so draining .
RODEO, love Daisy! what a sweetie Sounds like you are making good use of a bit of time to yourself - I can't think of anything better than lolling in front of a dvd . On the Easter bonnet front, guess who forgot and had the only two children in both classes without bonnets?? ; they didn;t seem too concerned though, but I did feel pretty bad..Oh and the children here break up for two solid weeks - would have much preferred what you've got! We can just about manage it with work, as I can take the odd day off next week, and dh three days the following week.
Hi CHACHA! Enjoy the wedding, and look forward to hearing your news when you get back.
Hi NOVA! Have just had the same with L on the bottom front - just carried on slapping on the metonium cream and it seems better, though still quite red. Here's to warmer days when they can just run around naked! L had taken to wearing 'knicks' over her nappy and vest , and under tights , it's a wonder she can walk!
TWINKLE! Twins group sound great! Are there others with big families, or are most first twins? Sounds fun .
Children's party this afternoon. Dh will take L out somewhere else though, so should be a breeze with just two .
Speak later, diege xxx

mypandasgotcrabs · 22/03/2008 08:37

Hi! I'm so tired, stayed out at my friends house last night, then was surrounded by all 4 of her children this morning..."come and look, it's O's mummy!" Then they all looked after me and bought me books, toys etc! Had a good night, even if it did finish early, got a little drunk!

We got up to Arundel yesterday, then xp phoned wanting the boys, had a massive argument on the phone, ruined things, so we ended up coming home. Mentioned to him bout the maintenance, he said he was going to give me it this weekend, but it's been this long as he 'has got no money'

I'm so reluctant to let him have the boys at all over hte weekend, but O wants to see him so badly.

mypandasgotcrabs · 22/03/2008 10:42

Well, my mums gonna have Sean today, so I can spend a bit of time with just Owen. Pompey are on later, so we can watch the football together without Sean getting in the way of the telly! Then see what he wants to get up to this afternoon.

And why, after 12 years of waxing do I suddenly have a reaction to wax? And why couldn't I have had a reaction when I got my legs done instead of my face?

Diege · 22/03/2008 13:17

Hi Panda! Sounds a hectic time last night, though good to get out I'm sure. Hope your dp comes up trumps with the maintanance..difficult too if ds's want to see him . Enjoy your time with S anyway, even if your face is sore .
Waiting in for sister and BIL/nephew to arrive for the afternoon, and then we have friends round for a curry this evening. I've just attempted the Davina dvd, but v.hard when all 3 dds decide they want to join in. L was very sweet though bringing a cushion for my head during the sit-up section .
Speak later, diege xxx

Rodeo · 22/03/2008 13:43

Afternoon
We're having quiet afternoon too, dp and ds are out lunching with a friend, just got back from the grocery shop - why, oh why is it sooo busy?! It's 2 extra days off (well 1 now) and everybody and their gran seem to be spending a fortune!
Diege, aww at Libby bringing you a cushion was getting Jess's coat on when she clopped me on the head by accident - got a heartfelt 'Sorry Mummy' they must be reaching the empathic stage! Oh no, about the bonnet fiasco! Joe (or should I say 'I'?!) didn't win, there was much eye-rolling and hmph-ing from me though when the winner was awarded his egg 'What?! E%$ B"£*& again?!' I'm over it now....just.
Panda, sorry about x-dp, must be so hard for O But you're doing a great job so I hope you're not feeling guilty at all.
My sister had her home visit today, and she's fine to have the cat She was hoping to get her today, but she has to wait for the home-visitor to phone the RSPCA and then the RSPCA to ring her which according to the woman 'could be today, or tomorrow...or Monday..' FGS! You'd think they'd want to get the cat out ASAP? Don't know why they couldn't have rang there and then? Or given my sister an approval-stamped form? Rant, rant!
Might go for a run in a bit, seems to have brightened up after our non-settling (how boring) snow this morning, bet Twinkle is snowed in mind!
Anyway, enjoy your easter breaks all, remember to leave a carrot out for the bunny

twinkle1 · 23/03/2008 20:32

Evening all,
Jingle bells jingle bells oooppss sorry confused the holidays something to do with the foot plus of snow we have!!!!!!! and the semi frozen chickens. The kids have had a fab day making snow men and snow aliens???? great eh
we are having a nice quiet relaxing time here, eating chocolate and watching telly.
At least the snow plough had been out cos the kids had to go to swimming lessons today.
well im off to eat more choc's
Twinkle

Diege · 23/03/2008 23:12

Toooo muuuuuch chocolaaaaaate (that's how I look!). Serves me right helping dds out, plus devouring my own so that they are GONE and I'm no longer tempted .
Sounds idyllic Twinkle! Good on you getting them out for swimming club - think I would have given up and stuck a dvd on instead .
Has your sister had the 'call' yet from RSPCA RODEO? Honestly, they sound worse than social services . Will be great when Daisy is finally home though .
Found out yesterday [good link here] that my sister and her husband are applying to adopt (they have one little boy naturally but have had years of fertility treatment etc). A bit surprised at first, but think on balance it will be a GOOD THING, so fingers crossed for them .
Right, time for bed! Hope everyone is having a lovely Easter, diege xxx

BTKsmum · 24/03/2008 12:42

Hi girls, hope you've all had a great Easter. we've been very reserved on the chocolate front here this year but all that will change this afternoon when we have our 3 house easter egg hunt!!!

Have had a very quiet Easter as dh still not right and T only got better on Saturday.

Right best go and get my self ready for the on slaught of 6 kids rampaging through the house!

Love to all Beks

Rodeo · 25/03/2008 14:51

Afternoon
Has all the chocolate gone yet?! Ours has - though the children only got one egg each, I asked the grandparents to hold off on the egg buying this year being the big choc spoilsport that I am but Joe doesn't respond well to all the extra sugar!
Diege, wow, good luck to your sister How old is her little boy at the moment? Don't think I know anyone who has adopted, though there is a lady round the corner who fosters newborns until they find new families, not a job I could do, I don't think I could bare to see them go. Remember watching a series on adoption and just thinking the process seemed so long and hard. There is an adoption section on MN now, maybe you could direct her over there
Well, the cat is with my sister now! She's lovely but a bit needy for my liking! Won't leave either of them alone and has to be on someone's knee, hope she'll be ok while they're at work! She'll have a kitten to keep her company in a few weeks so she'll be fine I'm sure!
Jess is poorly with cold and v.runny nose, her little face is all red and blotchy (I thought she might have chicken pox this morning, but I don't think so) and her nose looks so sore. She keeps asking to go to playgroup, she wasn't happy this morning when we said she'd have to miss it!
Better go, have bedsheets to dry, thought it was a great idea this morning to strip all the beds down and get the sheets on the line but it's not as warm as it looks out there! Speak later x

Hello all - sorry to barge in, but if you haven't already done so, would you think about completing our sleep survey here? If you do you'll be entered into a lovely comp to win £1250 of rather special, children's furniture. Thanks ever so!

novadandypowder · 25/03/2008 15:26

hi all
it's been lovely so far down on the coast .

not much choccy eating here , although we have a cupboard full of it!

nova x

Rodeo · 27/03/2008 11:58

Morning
Quiet here, where is everyone?!
Glad your having nice time by the sea Nova, when do you get back?
How are the Easter Holiday-ers? Diege? Beks? Any nice plans? Did anyone watch The Apprentice last night, ooh it was good! Then Desperate Housewives - what a night for TV!
Not much news here, Jess back at playgroup, she's just about better, I should really be getting on with the PTA accounts but just don't want to, hmmm, might just have another cup of tea before I begin!
Am going to try and add a couple of pics to Yahoo too today, will keep you posted

ChaCha · 27/03/2008 12:53

Hello everyone,

Hope you are all well and have enjoyed Easter and Easter Eggs!

We are all okay here. Wedding was lovely and really enjoyed catching up with old friends and seeing their children. We later went on to make visits further North and DS1 who was was unbelievable tired from previous late night and quite uncontrollable during wedding was his happy self having had a long sleep in the car afterwards. DS2 sat eating as usual and was then content to run around the hall with balloons giggling and chasing other children.
Diege - one set of friends that we visited have just been renovating a gorgeous house, it's set over 3 floors and is similar if i remember correctly to one that you'd described earlier. The idea of parents up on top floor and children's bedrooms (they have 3DD's aged 5,7,9) with their own bathroom is great, then downstairs they have raised living room extended kitchen/diner out into garden and have the basement area just as a playroom. There is also WC/bathroom and spare room here as well. Lovely to see such a nice family home - made our humble abode seem like a matchbox!

Have 20week scan early tomorrow morning, that's me 21weeks on Monday and have been feeling lots more movement and having not so comfortable nights but all is well. Boys are fine, playing much better together now and enjoying garden swing and bikes which allows me a little breathing space.

Am off to mow the lawn while the sun is still out so will love you and leave you and look forward to catching up on new news.

Much love x

ChaCha · 27/03/2008 12:55

Hi Rodeo - can't believe that between lunch, answering phone and whatever else my browser has been waiting my message for an hour!!!!
Good to see ya.
