Hi Twinkle
Glad you are well, LOL at devil spawn, Jess is always pulling the power cable out so halfway through posting laptop just starts 'hibernating'! V. annoying!
Hi BOB, just seen pics, they are lovely too How old is Sophia now? V.sad when we start getting excited by takeaways I'm exactly the same!
Ooh still haven't done cake and I'm running out of time! Been doing a face recognition test on the web, FGS, like that's really an essential part of my busy day!
Cake time! Bye!

Well we have a solution to the crying problem, both noo and miniman are ill. Thought something must have been up as she was fine going in on monday. Took them both to the Drs and noo has medicine but miniman just has to ride it out as he's had too much medication over the past 3 months. Got a bit worried coming back from the chemist as noo said she was hot then started shaking and going really cold. She's now tucked up in bed, as is miniman, then I'll have to endure the constant picking up and moaning until bedtime. DH is working tonight so I don't even have a spare pair of arms, ho hum.

Bob, how are you finding life with your two? Any ideas where you're hoping to move to? The kitchen is from an independent childrens toy shop on Kensington Park Road called Cheeky Monkeys. Their stock changes all the time, but I think they nearly always have some sort of play kitchen in stock. The cupboards are filled with little crates of wooden fruit and veg, and plates and cutlery, noo and miniman love it.

Happy Birthday to Twinkles DD and Rodeos DS. Glad attic is finished Twinkle, bet you must feel like you have a new house, and a party outside of the home is always a good idea . Hope you managed to squeeze in the cake making Rodeo - lol at things we can find to do on the internet, when we really should be doing something useful

Chacha, thank you for the kind wishes, I feel very touched. I hope someone out there is watching out for you and yours too x

greedygecko · 13/03/2008 16:33

LaylaandSethsmum · 14/03/2008 21:04

Hello everyone, I have been a real stranger recently, we had no laptop for a couple of weeks and work has been crazy, I have applied to do health visiting in september and found out today i've got an interview on the 28th - most of all i'm dreading telling my current employers, my colleague is leaving next week too!

I've popped onto Yahoo and the pictures are lovely Nova and Cha Cha! They're all growing up too fast aren't they.

Rodeo - Hope Joe has had a good birthday and you survived his party! Laylas is on the 3rd April am yet to get organised for it though!!

Beks - Glad B had a good birthday ( sorry its so belated)!

Great news Twinkle on the scans, a friend of mine is having twins too, shes 15 weeks but looks around 30, poor thing, shes v excited but dreading at the same time!!

Another busy weekend looms ahead, L has 2 parties, it all costs me a fortune.

Nova - have to agree about the other kids " borrowing" Noo's toys! I sent about half an hour last year on the beach collecting all of our stuff, actually found myself saying " Are you done with this now? Its just we're going now!!" ridiculous!

Hi to everyone else hope all of you and yours are happy and well xxxx

twinkle1 · 16/03/2008 09:44

yoo hoo,
Is ther anyone there??????????
Twinkle

greedygecko · 16/03/2008 12:30

lol, hi twinkle! re car seat, I'm in Portsmouth, I'll find out a price for sending it, and just sort me out for postage will be fine.

I had a date last night. Really nice guy, we got on really well, had a really good night. ANother sailor though, not sure what's going on with me there! But how do you know if a date went well? I mean obviously the actual date went well, but how do I know if I'm likely to hear back from him? He did say this morning that he'd text me, but does he mean it, was he just saying it? I've never done htis before, it's strange!

GG xx

twinkle1 · 16/03/2008 14:26

GG thanks very much just let me know the postage
Not sure about dates??? Been married since i was 18 so not a lot of experience here!!! Im sure if it went well he would text you back though Did he wear a uniform??????? I love sailor uniforms

Did you watch the Dancing on Ice finale?! So glad Suzanne won She was amazing!
GG - He will text you if he thought it went well too, good luck! I'm sure he will Enjoy your child-free morning, hope S likes nursery

greedygecko · 17/03/2008 11:32

Hi Rodeo, bongo party sounds like fun.

Off to get the little terror soon, he finishes at 12. Hav got the cupboard in my bedroom sortde out, and don't worry, did have a few lazy minutes!! (and a danceto bros! )

Diege · 17/03/2008 14:42

Hello! Yes, agree RODEO that bongo party sounds intriging! How lovely for your sister to have two new cats, though about her old one. I've only had one female cat and she was called Saffron - a really grumpy old-lady cat, even as a tiny kitten!
GG at Bros . I was infatuated with them years ago - remember thinking I looked so cool in my union jack panelled cut-offs , carrying one of those hand-held radios along the street with their greatest hits blarring out .
Really exciting about your scan TWINKLE - they sound very healthy, and I can't wait to see them!! I'm predicting (like RODEO?) a girl and boy .
Well, weekend was good. Went to Sheffield to see dh's crumbling rellies, and had a nice lunch along the way. DDs very excited about Easter - they finish school on Thursday, and are off until 7th - fits really well with work hols - NOT!!! Dh's presents still not arrived, though I've had a few more parcels arrive myself .
Hope everyone is well, and speak later, diege xxx
PS: How are things going with the old ttc-ing BB?

BrownieBells · 17/03/2008 22:21

Ahem - hello all! Diege - not actually started yet! really must put folic acid on this weeks shopping list! DH keeps saying he is really looking forward to his Easter present !!
GG - any news from date? I think if he wants more he'll be in touch, if not, just chalk it down to experience and move on (not always that easy I know!) When my first husband buggered off, I dreaded the thought of getting "back out there" but once I got into it, it was quite fun, out each weekend (pre children though so much easier) it was great - it was just the blokes that got in the way of all the fun! seriously though - just make sure you are careful - it's a crazy world out there (right lecture over!)

Nova, hope los are feeling better now?

Hello to everyone else - really must upload some recent photos on yahoo - haven't done any for ages, nor have I been on and looked at anyone elses - right off to do that now!

Hows your ttc coming on Diege - have you started yet!?

xx

Diege · 18/03/2008 10:38

Hi BB . No, we've not started ttc here either (diege types nervously from work computer )hopefully April/May. I'm on the heavy stuff though - Zita West posh ones, that I have to take 3 times a day, plus her omegas which are twice a day. I'm rattling, and should be feeling great, but have had lots of niggles (bad cough, conjunctivitus etc) these last few weeks. Probably my body wondering what the hell is going on . You should come and join the preparing to TTC thread on 'conception'. We are all very rude, and enjoy talking about GOFing .
Hope everyone is well. diege xxx

Ilovesleep · 18/03/2008 13:07

Hiya, don't worry Brownie, being careful...I've bought myself a pay as you go phone and onl give that numbe out, then can just chuck it if they do turn out to be a weirdo, and I'll only go back to theirs, I won't have anyone back here after a 1st date. TBH I think I'm probably just as likely to meet a weirdo in the pub as I am online, and meeting them on facebook means I can check out their profile too. Not heard from guy from Sat, but do have a date wiht another guy lined up for Thurs! (and hen night Fri,night out with best friedn & her sisters Sat...) Just need to rob a bank to pay for it all!

Diege, whats GOFing?

novadandypowder · 18/03/2008 13:41

Yes Diege, I'm quite curious to GOFing? Ahh, think I may have got it , if I'm right you really are a rude bunch!

Miniman is fine and back at nursery, but noo is still off. She has a cough and cold, but the main reason is that the antibiotics have given her a runny tummy and it really upsets her as well as making her bottom red raw. Figured as they're off on friday anyway I might as well keep her off this week, and then we're down at the beach house next week.

Minimans birthday was a bit of a non event in the end. We'd booked the same restaurant that we went to for noos first birthday for 12.30, but DH's parents made an error and ended up arriving at 1.45! Needless to say we'd had to get take-out from said restaurant and DH was not impressed.

Had ordered a shed load of stuff from the ELC to take down to the beach house, good job too as it looks like we'll be spending most of the time indoors (nova wonders if it's too late to look at holiday homes on the costa del sol.......)

mypandasgotcrabs · 18/03/2008 17:00

Well I'm so utterly useless at checking what name I'm using I've decided to just use the one name, and if he reads what I post, and if it's slagging him off, then tough s*! Still not heard from Sat's date, don't think I will tbh. Ah well, didn't want anything serious anyway, but would have been nice to see him again.

Diege · 18/03/2008 20:03

Yes, I think Nova's got it (Gof-ing)[having a 'good old f**k]. Feel very now writing it down. It developed from a mutual dislike of the cringy 'baby dancing', and all things baby-dust-related....and stemmed from an old ttc thread that one of the posters was on. So nothing to do with me..but I do think I prefer it to 'bd-ing' .
Very for you NOVA at dh's parents getting time wrong. That's the sort of thing that drives me mad!! Hopefully they were sitably chatised...
Right, tea's ready! Speak later, diege xxx

Diege · 18/03/2008 20:06

Meant to say at the new name you-know-who .

mypandasgotcrabs · 18/03/2008 21:08

Diege, how rude! Agree though, baby dancing is far too cringeworthy!

The name is mine & my friends chat up line! Heard from guy from sat night, said he does want to see me again, but won't be able to for a while, so kind of good and bad. I knew he was going down to Plymouth for a while (just to confuse you even more Diege!), then to the gulf, but would have been nice to see him once beofre he went. Ah well.

Rodeo, the photo on facebook is nothing compared to the bad one of me on there!

novadandypowder · 19/03/2008 14:58

Twinkle, was it you that had the mirena coil? Or at least were giving advice about it? I have a question if you can help - I've had mine in for two weeks now and haven't stopped bleeding since. Quite light, a panty liner is enough, but it's very annoying. Any idea if thats normal, I don't go back for my check up for another 4 weeks, as the gyne Dr only goes to the surgery every 6 weeks
