Hi all, don't know where the time goes
So, mothers day was lovely, I got a silver Tiffany bracelet engraved with 'Mum'. I did however have an altercation with a mum in the park which put a little spolier on things. I'm just soooo peed off with kids taking noo's toys and parents doing nothing about it, either because they are nowhere to be seen or because they think their precious offspring somehow have a right to 'share' other kids toys. This womans boy took noo's bucket and spade from under my buggy so I asked/took it back from him (no physical contact was made with said child!). I then overheard her bitching about me to her child but when I challenged her about it, she claimed to have no idea what I was talking about. I actually then started to doubt what I had overheard so I left it, but when I was leaving I overheard her again bitching about how disgusting my buggy was to her friend . I really can't stand it when people are snide, but then don't have the balls to say it to your face or back themselves up when challenged. On the plus side, I was out in a different park with a friend on friday and she was complaining about other kids taking her sons toys and how she'd lost over half of his stuff, so I'm glad it's not just me who feels this way. Have resorted to writing noo's initials all over said bucket and spade in big black marker pen!
Was down in the beach house at the beginning of last week to have some trees cut, although typically the one we didn't remove has been blown over in the storms! BIL said he'll sort it for us, thankfully it wasn't too close to the house.
Have been having troubles with Ebay. Sombody hacked into my account and used it to buy a lot of electrical equipment. Ebay cancelled all the transactions and notified me about the security breach, but it turns out there was one transaction they didn't cancel and the seller has put an unpaid item strike on my account . I contacted the seller about what had happened but they never repsonded and then they do this. I've launched and appeal but feel quite helpless. All my feedback says what a prompt payer I am so this is a real downer.
Had my mirena coil fitted on wednesday and so far it seems ok, a few mild cramps but nothing too painful. Wasn't expecting to have local anaethestic injections into my cervix though - ouch!
Miniman is being a total handful, can't believe he's one on sunday . Have both sets of grandparents coming for lunch again, although my dad and partner are staying for the whole weekend. He's standing at every opportunity although no walking yet. He also loves climbing things and charges head first off and over everything.
Noo is delightful, I love the fact we can have conversations now. She's still being a bit upset in the mornings before pre-school but no tears. Her confidence out and about has really grown though and for the first time on friday she was happy to run around out of my sight (not sure I'm so happy about that though!).
Diege, house buying/selling is so difficult. We'd love to move to a bigger house but the prices here are just stupid (at least £1.5M for a 4+ bedroom in the area we want). We're looking at getting a basement excavated, although I know one of our neighbours will really hate us for it. Hope something happens for you soon.
Chacha, somehow I had forgotten you were pg! Hope scan goes well, and I'm guessing you'll find out but won't tell us like last time. My prediction is boy .
Rodeo, I'm still riding and it's going well but slowly. Tried cantering for the first time last week and it scared the bejesus out of me. What kind of party ends up with shirt button ripping? My kind of party .
BTKS, 45? Surely a typo? 45 children!! you are truly a saint . Glad fun was had by all. What do you use as 'custard' for the pies?
Twinkle, again best wishes for scan, agree that being asked to lay down for an hour in a warm dark room would result in sleep for me. Hope you are builder free and getting on with the decorating. We need to find someone to decorate our house, I just don't trust any trader in this city
GG, must confess DH had left the Chelsea match on TV on saturday and I just couldn't pull myself away from it. I even went as far as talking out loud to the TV in the closing minutes of the game! Not even a fan of either team .
Hi to feetheart and brownie if you're popping by and best wishes to Londoner and Bob.
