Ahh, poor LOs mhc. fingers crossed you don't get it!

HellHathNoFury · 14/01/2008 12:01

Hi All
Foxy - Derlor is fine, she just doesn't have a PC atm, it's broken

I have a goddamn sore throat
DS is still ill but he's at least drinking milk now.

In a moment of madness I bought a maclaren techno xlr yesterday, and now I don't know what do do with it. I don't need 2 prams. I have a bugaboo and a techno now. I am wondering which one to get rid of. I love my bugaboo, it's such great quality and DS looks so happy in it, but folded up it is as big as a 4x4. And it's a pain in the arse to fold up.
The maclaren seems ok... but it's not a bugaboo and it's bigger than I thought as well.

Shall I go to the hunny hunny hun hun threads or will you talk to me?

Oh what to do.

milkyJammy · 14/01/2008 12:45

Hello again.

MHC sorry that the LOs are so poorly. Hope they all recover soon and it doesn't spread to you.

Fury, hope you and DS feel better soon.

C just had a lovely morning playing at baby group, and loved her cheesy mash (spuds and carrots) for lunch. She rolled over again this morning, so her movement, limited as it is, is getting a bit more frequent. Not sure if I am pleased or scared

LittleMissNorty · 14/01/2008 12:59

Afternoon all

MHC....hope your DCs are all feeling better....

Fury, I'm beginning to think about getting a stroller...now DD is sitting upright and in her 2nd size car-seat (got the pink flowery Maxi cosi one in the end), my buggy is huge and limits the amount of shopping I can get in the boot .....having just lumped it around the town in the pissing rain, a stroller definitely seems tempting.....

My day started off getting DD out of her sleeping bag when I woke her at 7.30am to find she, the sleeping bag and all her clothes were covered in shit .....she didn't even wake up ....what a way to start the day.....

Foxy - have FB you

HellHathNoFury · 14/01/2008 13:07

I think I can take it back for a full refund as I still have the box etc and I bought it from costco who just don't care.

It was a good deal though, £138 for a techno xlr... and I really like it, but I just don't NEED it.

OR

I can sell the bugaboo.

I think cheaper for me to take back the techno tho.

dilemma

sputnik · 14/01/2008 13:11

I have 2 buggies, the heavy-duty all-terrain 3-wheeler and a lightweight Maclaren. If you don't have space problems it's really useful having 2, the small one is really useful for travelling, fits in lifts the other one won't, folds small and lives in the car anyway. I wish I'd had it with DD. If you're planning on having more kids and have storage then I'd hang on to it if I were you.

sputnik · 14/01/2008 13:19

Sounds like you were spaving

DKMA · 14/01/2008 13:25

BOO
You aint seen me - right!
supposed to be working!!

HellHathNoFury · 14/01/2008 13:33

sputnik I agree!
I was looking for a lightweight maclaren for holidays etc! but this is the xlr, it's a beast, it's quite big. It looked small in the shop

HellHathNoFury · 14/01/2008 13:34

lol DKMA you and me both ;-)
how's it going! and well done on ther 5lbs!!! (bitch)

LittleMissNorty · 14/01/2008 13:42

Hello DKMA - how's it going being back at work? I find I have more time to catch up with MN than I do when I'm at home

DKMA · 14/01/2008 13:44

Fury

I too have 2 buggie thingies (a big Mutsy and a little Micralite) But that is cos I just like stuff and things and I think they are both nice?!!!

Thanks for the weight loss 'well done' but I think that as I am working from home I am merrily stuffing my face and will probably pile it all back on again!!

Work is a doddle compared to looking after the little fella!!!!

You ok?
Getting a cold??

sputnik · 14/01/2008 13:52

Hi DKMA, how's work?

Fury take it back then and get a Maclaren Volo, they're 30 something quid on Kiddicare

HellHathNoFury · 14/01/2008 13:57

yeah, you know when you can feel it coming...!

but I like the maclaren!

oh fuck it I'll bore DH with it later.

sputnik · 14/01/2008 14:04

Fury, you're not going down the slippery slope to pram-hun dom are you?

Elsbells · 14/01/2008 14:04

Hi Fury Sputnik, DKMA, LMN and anyone else out there.

Finally a bit of sun today....I just tried to read through some old posts but you all chat too fast and I have given up.

Today is a bit of a better day thank goodness.

Fury, what have you decided to do about the buggy. I am just like you...when we bought our highchair for DS a couple of years ago I insisted on the M&P's one cause I LIKED it. Who cares that the Mothercare version was about £100 cheaper and basically the same.

sputnik · 14/01/2008 14:06

Forgot to

Elsbells · 14/01/2008 14:12

oh
I think I hear someone shouting for me....I think it is my mate.

Malteser.

Must dash.

HellHathNoFury · 14/01/2008 14:14

Pah I can be a hunni if I want!!

nah my issue is... I have 2 decent prams. I don't need 2 decent ones, I need 1 decent one and 1 holiday one.

Do I want the bugaboo or the maclaren as the decent one?

I like the bugaboo very much but it's massive to fold up and impractical sometimes cos it collapses in 2 parts.

I like the maclaren but it doesn't have funky off roadyness and the clunky loveliness of the bugaboo.

So which one to get rid of.
I can take the maclaren back and get £138, or sell the 'boo on ebay for £400 max.

Despite the fact I will lose more money if I do this... I am erring down the selling the bugaboo side. Need to bore DH with it later.

Cos (a) I offroad once in a blue moon (b) I am beginning to need practicality which for all it's loveliness, the bugaboo aint.

DKMA · 14/01/2008 14:19

Fury - thats why I liked the micralite toro - it's an off roader and it is small and it folds down in one part.

But you don't want three pushchairs - do you - I'm not helping am I?

Is someone going to do a new thread?
I don't know how - and will prob only cause offence with a crap title!!

Elsbells · 14/01/2008 14:21

Keep the Maclaren?

We had the Maclaren Techno XT for DS and bought a Maclaren Volo for hols.

When DD was born we bought a Phil and Ted E3 so we could plonk the 2 in a pushchair and now demoted the Techno XT for the car to when I am solo with DD or DS.

The Volo is now in the shed.

Elsbells · 14/01/2008 14:32

oh its that time
bottle for my dd....spk to u all later.
