Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Hullo!

I do a bit of both - spoon feed puree at lunch time to introduce new tastes, and she gets a brocolli floret or a bit of carrot at tea time, more so she can sit up with the others so they all feel like they are eating together.

I went to find some baby fromage frais today. When I had DS1 there were all manner of baby stuff, formula made fromage frais, suger free, but Sainsburys had nothing specific. Has anyone seen baby-specific stuff? Rachels organic is the best yogurt I can find.

foxythesnowman · 10/01/2008 11:03

BTW Mellymel, are you new round these parts, or a namechange? I may have missed something. How rude of me!

andiemustlosehalfastonemore · 10/01/2008 11:04

foxy waitrose have the danone baby stuff and little dish

HellHathNoFury · 10/01/2008 11:06

Yes Mellymell, are you new?

Foxy I buy 'Little Dish' from Sainsburys. They do custard as well.

BumperliciousIsOneHotMother · 10/01/2008 11:06

sputnik · 10/01/2008 11:08

I can't decide what to do with this baby. He didn't wake up screaming last night but has been pretty unhappy all morning. If I want to take him to the docs today I have to decide now as she is only there in the morning.

BumperliciousIsOneHotMother · 10/01/2008 11:09

hmmm, better a wasted trip to the dr's than possible broken night tonight!

foxythesnowman · 10/01/2008 11:10

Is she there tomorrow? A lot of things resolve themselves in 24 ours. If it were a friday i'd say go.

sputnik · 10/01/2008 11:10

The spread might be nice mixed into yogurt Bumper

annobal · 10/01/2008 11:11

I use the Rachels organic stuff - it's not as thick as the yeovalley one but I like the sweetened with apple juice and no dairy of the Rachels organic.

I'm having a babymoon today. DH has taken the DCs to nursery as I had a bit of a turn in the shower . Already had a sleep and have a good book...

sputnik · 10/01/2008 11:14

Ha, broken nights are my bread and butter!

He woke up screaming 3 nights in a row but not last night so seems on the mend but still not happy. I'll give it til tomorrow I think but I'm a bit worried he might be getting another ear infection, as that's what it was last time he was like this.

BumperliciousIsOneHotMother · 10/01/2008 11:14

annobal, bit of a turn? are you ok?

milkyJammy · 10/01/2008 11:16

I get pear & apple spread from Holland & Barrett

sputnik · 10/01/2008 11:20

Yo Annobal, what ya reading?

Hope you're feeling better

HellHathNoFury · 10/01/2008 11:20

hmm Annobal wassup?

foxythesnowman · 10/01/2008 11:22

Are you OK Annobal?

BTW, just let me know when you want your forms signed. Tis not a problem.

annobal · 10/01/2008 11:27

I'm reading Agent Zigzag from the mn bookclub - it came this morning and is great!

Thanks, I'm fine - I've woken up with a really sore neck then passed out in the shower - probably something to do with blood sugar (probably too much chocolate) and feel quite odd when i'm moving around so probably just fighting something off.

Sputnik, hope he's okay.

Foxy, be great to get forms signed - when would suit you & your friend? (Thanks! )

LittleMissNorty · 10/01/2008 11:45

Annobal - sounds like you need some salty fish n chips to get your blood pressure up

Take it easy....and get yourself to the docs if you still feel funny

OMG....postman just rung and me and DD had fallen asleep in front of TV....and I missed the end of Homes under the hammer

milkyJammy · 10/01/2008 11:49

ok, i'm trying to feed C a puree of butter beans and tuna, but she's not having it. I just tasted it and it is a bit bland and bleuh tasting. If I was having it I would add some worcestershire sauce or something. Any ideas what I can safely add for C?

HellHathNoFury · 10/01/2008 11:51

mayo? (I would.... if it's wrong)

HellHathNoFury · 10/01/2008 11:54

cucumber?

thisisRialifebaby · 10/01/2008 11:55

LOL norty - I watched tht yesterday.

Re baths, baggins gets bathed at least once a day, sometimes twice if he does a particularly poisonous poo or voms, sometimes I topntail, but I'm a bit lax at facewashing if not bathing.

Re chickens, I have much the same thoughts as sputnik, cos one of DFs bit/pecked me when I was little. Don't think I've ever eaten free-range oraganic chicken so couldn't comment on the meat. Haven't the brain power for a big debate today anyway.

BTW, sainsburys have 1/3rd off nappies until Tuesday.

HollyIsAHippopotamus · 10/01/2008 12:00

Morning all!

I just had to leave toddlers as I felt I was going to cry! I have been going to the same group for nearly 6 months and still no-one really talks to me. I chat to the other mums, but then they carry on their convos with their friends and ignore me. They have meet ups and go to each others' houses, I try and get invited, but no-one asks me. One of them lives opposite me and I've walked home with them before and they've all gone into her house and said goodbye to me. I'm so lonely and bored.

Annoba, hope you are ok. Have you eaten? If the shower was very hot it might have lowered your bp enough for you to feel funny. I have low bp and was told not to have hot baths whilst pg as it can lower your bp and make you faint.

HellHathNoFury · 10/01/2008 12:02

don't think there is a debate, only me on a soap box. I do it quite often, feel free to ignore me!!

I am going to join WW!
