Thankfully we don't have nighttime feeds anymore but DH is good at taking his turn to get up and settle DS and DD when necessary.

foxythesnowman · 08/01/2008 13:43

Hello all

Sorry to hear about the shitty nights.

Fury - would I get the same discount on holidays?

HellHathNoFury · 08/01/2008 13:43

Right I'm off, got to sit through meetings now while people discuss things I don't understand and I will nod and smile and act like I know what I am on about.

Back later y'all

HellHathNoFury · 08/01/2008 13:44

Foxy - yes

tell DP to join 'clubcashback' and give you his password

Over 1000 retailers.

I am already giddy with it.

foxythesnowman · 08/01/2008 13:44

Oh I see, I come on and you all leave me

HellHathNoFury · 08/01/2008 13:45

It's because you smell.

Ok now I really am off. Back later!

foxythesnowman · 08/01/2008 13:45

Really? Can you FB me a quick note of what it is? Thanks. Hun.

foxythesnowman · 08/01/2008 13:46

LOL Fury

thisisRialifebaby · 08/01/2008 14:53

Everyone's gone again.

Our lunchtime visit was very nice, but it does feel a bit "nailed on smiles and niceness".

When i collected DS2 I noticed DS1 being sat in the library by his teacher with a piece of paper - WTF has he done now? dreading 3.15!

My DH is a star prone to bouts of twuntage! It is truly lovely that he likes and gets on with my parents enough to invite them for dinner (when I wasn't going to bother), but why does he always do it when there's a massive mess? He should know by now that picking up toys (and putting them away in the wrong boxes) and hoovering is not enough preparation for a DM visit. Will have to keep the lights low and her glass full

foxythesnowman · 08/01/2008 14:58

Hey Ria!

Behind the 'nailed on smile' are you really OK?

foxythesnowman · 08/01/2008 15:05

Ria, be honest with me

do I smell?

HollyIsAHippopotamus · 08/01/2008 15:08

Peeeeuuuuu! What's that smell?

milkyJammy · 08/01/2008 15:11

Yes, I didn't like to say anything, but thought it was a bit whiffy round here

milkyJammy · 08/01/2008 15:11

Or maybe it's just me?

HollyIsAHippopotamus · 08/01/2008 15:17

Everyone stinks....Except me!

No hang on...yep I smell too! Baby sick is such a pleasant odour!

milkyJammy · 08/01/2008 15:24

Has any one else noticed their LO's breath stinking when they are all snotty-nosed?

justbeme · 08/01/2008 15:26

Motherhood is such a smelly job isnt it?? if its not one end then its the other!

Quick question (weaning again - sorry!)

Daisy, when you feed soup - is it on a normal metal spoon? or are you soaking bits of bread in the soup and letting lo pick it up? (weaninsg spoons are too small surely?)

Bumper, you said you fed lo curry - youre doing BLW arent you? how did she eat that? fingers??? or spoon.

made some cheesy pasta today and blitzed it - L wasnt keen but was like a little sparrow mouth for her pudding. do many of your lo's like savoury??she'd eat lumps of cheese ok but thats about it.

thisisRialifebaby · 08/01/2008 15:28

I thought it was me!.

Thanks foxy, I'm ok, just a miserable cow as normal. How are you bearing up? Have you got rid of the b'stard nits? I read about this the other day. I know the best thing is combing and conditioner, but it gets a bit tedious - I might try it next time.

OP posts:
HollyIsAHippopotamus · 08/01/2008 15:29

Not really jammy, but then I am a bit bunged up as well!

Just phoned the pre-school I want dd to go to and I'm going to pop in to have a look around this week sometime. I am feeling a bit about her going, but I know it'll be really good for both of us!

milkyJammy · 08/01/2008 15:29

JBM, C seems to love savoury stuff, though is now getting a taste for framage frais. She is getting lazy though and only wanting to slurp stuff off the end of the spoon without having to bother opening her mouth properly so the spoon can go in

She had soup and bread last week - I put the bread to soak in the soup and fed her with a weaning spoon (but I think it was a biggish one)

thisisRialifebaby · 08/01/2008 15:31

jammy, I can usually make a good guess that the big boys are going to be ill because their breath has a certain smell. and tonsilitis stinks!

OP posts:
HollyIsAHippopotamus · 08/01/2008 15:35

Oh ria you poor thing, nits on top of everything else! You are due some luck, make sure you buy lottery tickets, you will be sure to win! {{{hugs}}}

JBM, when I give soup I just break up bits of bread into a bowl and pour on enough soup to soak into the bread. I'm doing a bit of blw, but I don't really think that some things, like soup and curry, are really compatible with it! Ds mainly get bits of food given to him to feed himself, but if it's sloppy or runny I feed him! I don't fancy scrubbing down the highchair and the floor every 5 mins!

HollyIsAHippopotamus · 08/01/2008 15:36

I don't know if tonsilitis breath smells (I hope it doesn't otherwise I am one stinky minky!), but I know it makes your mouth taste horrible. Oh dear I am paranoid now, I've always got farking tonsilitis!

thisisRialifebaby · 08/01/2008 15:38

fingers crossed we haven't got nits (I'm not looking today, they'll still be there tomorrow) but the boys got them the week before xmas, and I did combing on christmas eve - not ideal!

On the joys...

The smell is the cataarh )sp?) I believe.
