milkyJammy · 08/01/2008 13:00

Fairy, that sounds like an awful night. Poor you!

HellHathNoFury · 08/01/2008 13:01

am looking now. I suspect I should shut up and go on the travel threads or something and stop bugging people.

HollyIsAHippopotamus · 08/01/2008 13:02

I wanna go on holiday !

We can't really go as 1- we can't afford it and 2- Dp's exw would go crazy if we went on holiday without the boys! She went mad when we went to Oz last year without them. We didn't even pay, dp's dad did. She went fucking crazy and sent dp's dad a horrible email telling him what a selfish twat he was and how he doesn't think of anyone except himself...he had just forked out over a grand to bring us over, god knows how much more it would have cost him to pay for the boys as well. She is mental!

I feel you pain fairy, I really do! I woke up this morning with ds lying across my tummy as it was the only way I could get him to sleep. He has been moaning and grizzling all night lately and it is driving me insane! I really want to get him in his own bed in his own room, but the boys' beds are in the 3rd bedroom and we don't know how we are going to arrange the sleeping.

Gosh I am a bundle of fun today!

andiemustlosehalfastonemore · 08/01/2008 13:03

I think neilson are about same price as mark warner and very similar have looked at them before but have now done 4 mw holidays so go back as we know what we are getting iyswim
have also done skiing with mark warner

FairyFay · 08/01/2008 13:08

I feel your pain Holly!

andiemustlosehalfastonemore · 08/01/2008 13:10

my ds2 isn't sleeping well either 3 bf last night I was hoping the food might help but it doesn't seem to have and now he is in his own room I have to plod across the hall and get him wish I had left him in our room now but dh loves it as he gets a good nights sleep

HollyIsAHippopotamus · 08/01/2008 13:11

It's all fun and games!

I'm really not doing very well in my NY resolution to reduce MNing time today. I think I may have to take drastic action and switch the pc off [thud]!

HollyIsAHippopotamus · 08/01/2008 13:13

Andie, you should shout in his ear every time you get woken!

My dp NEVER wakes when the dcs do...EVER! Even if one of them is lying next to him and starts screaming he stays asleep. He has never done any night feeds!

andiemustlosehalfastonemore · 08/01/2008 13:14

neither has mine and the other night he woke me up twice looking for tissues and coughing I nearly killed him

andiemustlosehalfastonemore · 08/01/2008 13:15

my ny resolution was very shallow to be more groomed and want world peace of course

HollyIsAHippopotamus · 08/01/2008 13:16

They really are twunts! Mine wakes me a good few times evry night with his snoring, coupled with the non sleeping ds it is making for one very unjolly holly!

HollyIsAHippopotamus · 08/01/2008 13:18

I was gonna make that resolution, but I didn't think it would work! I barely get a chance to bathe, I think being groomed is just a step too far for me!

andiemustlosehalfastonemore · 08/01/2008 13:21

holly it is because I'm not going back to work and I was always groomed for work so feel that I could easily let things slip ha

HellHathNoFury · 08/01/2008 13:22

I rarely do the night feeds. DH always does it. In fact, DH does everything.

HollyIsAHippopotamus · 08/01/2008 13:26

Would your dh be interested in a second wife fury? I'm not very tidy, but I can cook!

sputnik · 08/01/2008 13:27

Andie, bring the baby back to your room and send DH to the baby's room, then you'll all get a better night's sleep

HollyIsAHippopotamus · 08/01/2008 13:28

IKWYM andie. When I was working I was always well turned out, I never wore flat shoes (despite being on my feet for 12 hours a day), I always straightened my hair and always wore make up. I went to straighten my hair the other day and I couldn't even find my straighteners. I don't think I've used them for about a year!

HellHathNoFury · 08/01/2008 13:30

LOL
DH is brilliant... he makes bottles, feeds, cleans up after dinner. Drops and picks up DS from nursery, changes nappies, entertains. All I do is cook, shop and do laundry.
He has been invited to a very posh do with work including an overnight stay tomorrow night, he told them he will arrive at 7pm (so he can do the nursery run) and won't stay overnight, he wants to stay with us.
He turns a blind eye to my shopping and even posts my ebay stuff.

He is a gem, honestly. I am VERY lucky.

andiemustlosehalfastonemore · 08/01/2008 13:30

sputnik not sure he would fit in the cot but maybe I could force him

andiemustlosehalfastonemore · 08/01/2008 13:31

fury mine is vv good too but unfortunately isn't lactating maybe he could be.....

HellHathNoFury · 08/01/2008 13:31

oh and he has single handedly redecorated the living room and paved the garden and laid it to turf.

HellHathNoFury · 08/01/2008 13:32

lol @ not lactating

I love Formula Feeding

andiemustlosehalfastonemore · 08/01/2008 13:33

sometimes fury I am tempted
anyway must go and do some jobs now lo is asleep

HellHathNoFury · 08/01/2008 13:33

I am a spoilt cow I know, I don't mean to sound smug or anything and I know a lot of you ladies have trouble with your DP's sometimes.

I guess actually I am just eternally grateful for having such a top bloke and I like to sing his praises when I can.

LittleMissNorty · 08/01/2008 13:33

Good god - "DH does all the feeds"

My DH got up ONCE to feed DD, after that she started sleeping through and he never done it since

Poor FF.....what a night....hope you all feel better soon
