Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
milkyJammy · 08/01/2008 10:25

Ria, DD had scrambled egg for the first time yesterday and wasn't impressed when I offered it to her on a spoon, but lapped it up when I put little bits into her mouth by hand. Was messy though.

HellHathNoFury · 08/01/2008 10:27

And I keep buying shoes on ebay. I can't help myself.

thisisRialifebaby · 08/01/2008 10:48

Everything is so bloody messy, but that's kids I suppose (you would think I would be used to it by now). I don't think DS1 really fed himself until he was about 3 cos I am so uptigt about mess

Shoes are essential to the well-being of your feet fury!

I want some of those fur-lined crocs. My sciatica has been so much better since I got my crocs but my ankles are cold now.

I want fur lined crocs too but I think DH would divorce me.

They are the only crocs I can imagine myself owning.

andiemustlosehalfastonemore · 08/01/2008 11:22

I would divorce you fury they are a fashion crime get some nice furry boots instead
morning all
domestic day here have hemmed some curtains and had a good clear out can feel my enthusiasm starting to wane now though

HellHathNoFury · 08/01/2008 11:30

mmmm furry boots

I think I will!
DH is whinging that I am spending too much atm. Pah, I have sold my worldly possessions on ebay and got a job, if I want a pair of bleeding shoes I am going to get a pair of bleeding shoes.
And furry boots.
So there DH, shove that in yer pipe and smoke it.

HollyIsAHippopotamus · 08/01/2008 11:35

Get some Uggs...I don't know how I lived without mine!

I do confess to owning a pair of Crocs, but they are Primas (ballet shoe type), so are not real Crocs really!

I have done FA this morning and am still in my pjs! I was sick of having so much chocolate in the house, so I melted it all down and dd and I made rice crispie cakes. That is the sum total of my motherly efforts this morning!

andiemustlosehalfastonemore · 08/01/2008 11:52

good effort though holly damn sight more exciting than my cleaning and leek and potato pure

andiemustlosehalfastonemore · 08/01/2008 11:52

puree I mean

HollyIsAHippopotamus · 08/01/2008 11:56

Yum, leek and potato is a great combo!

Glad you are enjoying your job fury and glad you are being treated like the princess that you are!

Tallulah, I am bloody freezing! I would say I am jealous of your heat, but I'm not, I hate being too hot! I am also of the "so white I'm blue" variety, so am really not very good in the sun at all. Bah! I wish I could go brown! Hope you are having a lovely time.

Ria, I really hope your dh finds something soon xxx

LittleMissNorty · 08/01/2008 12:26

Morning ladies

I'm sitting here at work eating my lunch with no cat glaring at me, no dog dribbling in front of me and no baby making a grab for it and a HOT cup of coffee

HellHathNoFury · 08/01/2008 12:29

Ditto LMN ;-)

Although I am also searching for holidays.
I think club med/ mark warner is the way to go.

now I just need some money. Dammit.

Ria - see you in Feb BTW (unless you get woken sooner which seems likely)

sputnik · 08/01/2008 12:31

LMN !!
Actually, I can't complain, DD is at preschool and Baby Sputnik is asleep.
He's a bit better today, but woke up in the middle of the night screaming, wherupon DD woke up etc. etc. [yawn]
Am contemplating lunch myself

FairyFay · 08/01/2008 12:38

Can I just say AAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DS woke up every half hour from 7-midnight last night then at least every 90 mins after that, and DH was away.

DS is miserable and coldy today and DD is also miserable and teary and clingy and I am at the end of my tether. It's chucking it down with rain so I can't even bundle them into the buggy for some fresh air.

I am contemplating burying myself under the duvet until they're 18.

Sorry for moaning but I am really at the end of my tether today.

BTW, hi everyone

andiemustlosehalfastonemore · 08/01/2008 12:40

mark warner all the way for me I'm afraid although they are like boden on sea but if you can get over that dh and I always have a nice time
one word of warning though the first time we went ds1 was 2.5 and he was used to leaving me as I was working but after the first day when we went anywhere near the childcare centre he screamed we didn't use it in the end cos the tears were too much now he lurvves it but usually we just do mornings in childcare afternoons all together

andiemustlosehalfastonemore · 08/01/2008 12:40

fairy you could always decamp to my house I am in all day

sputnik · 08/01/2008 12:41

Oh that's awful FF, and I thought I'd had a tough night

HellHathNoFury · 08/01/2008 12:44

I think it is going to be club med for us as they are a leeeetttllleee bit cheaper plus I get £50 cashback with them with my work pass (woohoo just found that one out)

The bedrooms in mark warner look nicer though... but have ordered the brochures and will compare one evening with DH!
And read some reviews.

I really liked the look of the Hurghada Mark Warner but think Egypt might be too full on for DS, we were hoping to stick to Europe for this trip.

FairyFay · 08/01/2008 12:45

Thanks andiem, that's really, really kind of you, but I don't want to give you and DS2 all of our germs. We should definitely meet up soon though.

DD is in bed, having begged to go while refusing her lunch. She spent 15 mins whining and shouting but as I typed the last post she went quiet so I think she must have finally given in and gone to sleep. Fingers crossed she will wake up in less of a grump.

andiemustlosehalfastonemore · 08/01/2008 12:50

I too am waiting for lo to go to sleep he is currently banging on the bars of the cot haven't gone into see what position he is in yet
fairy we could always do whispers BUGGYFIT next week?

FairyFay · 08/01/2008 12:52

andiem, I'm not sure i could drag my eye-lids that far at the moment, let alone the rest of me . I will try and make it next week, but no promises

andiemustlosehalfastonemore · 08/01/2008 12:53

coffee is always an option too

HellHathNoFury · 08/01/2008 12:56

FF that sounds rotton you poor thing

Andiem - I have read reviews - MW it is, Club med has been slated by critics (mainly for being like pontins)

FairyFay · 08/01/2008 12:58

Fury, Neilson also do similar holidays to Mark Warner, in Turkey, Greece and Egypt I think. Might be worth a look.
