A new thread for the new "us" inside

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
milkyJammy · 07/01/2008 21:41

OK, time for me to go to bed. Night all!

foxythesnowman · 07/01/2008 21:44

Sweet dreams Jammy!

LardyMardyDaisy · 07/01/2008 21:52

We are talking money at the weekend. I will do my budget and submit it to him for approval before then

foxythesnowman · 07/01/2008 22:02

Yes, everything has to be signed off by the Finance Director here too.

I don't mind, its never bothered me much (mind you, my money always went on booze and high-heeled shoes BC, neither of which I have a need for now!)

LardyMardyDaisy · 07/01/2008 22:07

LOL foxy, but I will always need new bags. They are like a drug to me. It's the smell of the leather

Can you buy New leather smell in a spray like you can get New car smell spray. Will work out cheaper in the long run!

LardyMardyDaisy · 07/01/2008 22:10

HollyIsAHippopotamus · 07/01/2008 22:28

Sorry for popping in so briefly earlier, had to watch the chicken thing on C4. I don't know why I watch these shows, I'm a veggie and only buy free range eggs, so it doesn't apply to me. Maybe I just like the smug feeling I get when I think I am not contributing to the miserable lives of factory farmed animals!

Daisy, glad you got a handbag and glad you are ok! Hope the smell of new leather made you feel happy you lovely lady!

Hope everyone else is well.

Ds is not too great with food. He eats bits and bobs, but not a lot really. He screws up his face at most things. The only things he really likes is fruity baby porridge stuff and organix rusks. I need to start giving him more as he wakes 3-4 times a night and I think I may go a bit crazy soon if I don't get more sleep!

thisisRialifebaby · 07/01/2008 22:31

Helloooooooooooo

Has everyone gone to bed now?

I fell asleep when I put DS2 to bed earlier (he was asleep by 7.45 woo-hoo) and have had birthday presents to sort out since then.

OP posts:
HollyIsAHippopotamus · 07/01/2008 22:33

Evening ria, hope you had a good nap!

thisisRialifebaby · 07/01/2008 22:39

Hi holly. nap wasn't very comfortable, but it was sleep and that's what I need.

How you doing?

OP posts:
HollyIsAHippopotamus · 07/01/2008 22:42

I'm good, tired, but happy(ish)!

Hope you are ok, how's the dh job hunt going?

NattyThomasandEllen · 07/01/2008 23:00

hey guys bit late but n e one on? lol missing u all xx

thisisRialifebaby · 07/01/2008 23:03

He's very down today, understandable I suppose.
We both need a bit of light at the end of the tunnel. Difficult to diet when you can't be arsed with life

Oh I wish baggins would sleep. I must have bred the worst sleepers ever. Hopefully that means they will all be ultra-successful geniuses

suppose I should bed in the hope we'll make it to school on time. We have presents to open first and DS2 wants scrambledy egg for his birthday breakfast,

nite all Rx

Anyone around?

LardyMardyDaisy · 07/01/2008 23:17

Ria...in an ideal world I would open a restaurant, be front of house and your DH could come and be my head chef . There is (well was last summer) a bistro for sale in Staithes and DH and I seriously considered it, but we just couldn't make the figures stack up.

I'm still up, obviously. Watching the remake of Dawn of the Dead shopwing ion C4. DH and I share a love of zombie films. Not usually a fan of remakes, but this isn't too bad!

Hi Natty......loving your FB photos btw. You look far too slim and gorgeous though, byiatch

LardyMardyDaisy · 07/01/2008 23:18

hey tallulah

how's life in the sunshine?

TALLULAHBELLE · 07/01/2008 23:24

Hi Daisy - how's you? Its not too bad here today but we've had a run of days 40plus & a few more on the way! So no fun in the sun - hiding indoors with a/c belting out!

LardyMardyDaisy · 07/01/2008 23:35

LOL Tallulah; the typical peely wally Scottish "so white it's blue" complexion isn't great for sun worship is it

I'm doing OK; glad to be home, but wish I was still in Scotland; camping out in other people's houses is only good for a short time. After sharing a room with both DCs for two weeks I'm glad to get my own space back again, and have actually managed to get some decent sleep.

Starting the big New Year diet tomorrow!

NattyThomasandEllen · 07/01/2008 23:44

aww thank you very much i feel all slim and gorgeous lol would u believe it i took those myself
im going to try to keep to my new years resolution of getting on here more often, ive been a LITTLE facebook obsessed recently.. i went to be 3am 4 nights on the trot and got up at 7 with kids
im gonna be on tomorrow i promise guys xx

TALLULAHBELLE · 07/01/2008 23:56

I tan up pretty well actually - DH otoh is so white he glows. Poor DD seems to have inherited his skin tone so I am para about having her in the sun.

Just reading back on the thread - re brekkie. DD has been having baby porridge (iron enriched), porridge (normal), semolina (mixed with EBM)& has enjoyed the odd Weetbix too.

HellHathNoFury · 08/01/2008 09:19

Re breakfast -
DS eats ready brek, weetabix, baby porridge mixed with a mushed banana, eggy bread, and also jars of Hipp/heinz creamed porridge mixed with frutopia (packets of fruit puree).

Luckily he eats anything (except asparagus which he hates). Although I have come to find that the nursery chef must be a better cook than me as he has gone off my food but eats at the nursery with a passion.

Sadly I love petit filous type things and generally eat half of it before it even passes his lips.

Poor sod is still ill and living on a cocktail of calprofen, calpol and medised but he's on the mend and getting back to his old self.

thisisRialifebaby · 08/01/2008 09:54

Aww daisy, thanks for the thought. He's an arrogant bugger in the kitchen though (now maybe that's his problem. Another plus for the blessing in disguise is that he doesn't know for sure that his shoulder is up to it yet, hospital again next week.

Today I want to take my boys and my keepsakes (begger the important stuff like clothes and food), to a place where there's no people and no school. I have to take DS2 to his godmothers at lunchtime (and our friendship seems to have diminished since she became harsh and bitter and just a little self-obsessed), and DH has invited my lovely parents for tea so I have to tidy up. ARSE.

On the plus side I walked the school run and have done 3,200+ steps already (sorry, wrong thread). If I keep it up I will allow myself pudding at teatime!

OP posts:
thisisRialifebaby · 08/01/2008 09:57

baggins has packet baby cereals for breakfast, or petit filous (if DH is ICbrekkie - he "can't" do packets). He tried scrambled egg this morning and wasn't impressed.

He had organix carrot sticks yesterday which he liked. christmas dinner for tea!

OP posts:
NattyThomasandEllen · 08/01/2008 10:19

ellen is still not tolerating lumps very well.. so can manage is baby porriges.. but i have been making is slighty thicker every morining for the last week, and im gonna put mash banana in it tomorrow.. wish me luck

ooo look at that im posting this early in the morning even tho up till 3am.. (DH's fault this time )

how is everyone this morning ?

HellHathNoFury · 08/01/2008 10:22

I am good, how are you?

I am liking my new job. I feel a bit like royalty here. I think that's just how they treat everyone though.
I miss DS though, I don't like that every day he learns something new and I am not there to see it.
