Oooggs, good to hear that the party went ok. Hope you and dh get some together time later when the dc's are asleep. Echo your sentiments about looking after each other and our families. Take care xxx

No night out here, had an indian takeaway which was delicious! Now have a glass of port and will be settling down in front of the tv. Oh its the high life in my house! Am quite sure I will be in bed before midnight.

Wishing great nights out for those who are going, and cosy nights in for those at home.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL

WestCountryLass · 31/12/2007 21:14

NGT, I am really sorry to hear you have lost your baby

ellesbelles · 31/12/2007 21:21

Hey lovely wee new year onion! No, no text but my phone has been playing up over the past couple of days.

How did Saturday go?

p.s. feeling a whole lot better and am planning an immune system boot camp for January.

Frankendooby · 31/12/2007 21:28

Came on to say HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all!

Frankendooby · 31/12/2007 21:28

So sorry OOGS.

StealthPolarBear · 31/12/2007 21:59

Hi everyone
oooggs glad the party wasn't too bad
aaargh trying to plan a trip to cornwall, no matter how I look at it it is a VERY LONG WAY AWAY

Sexmasonlegs · 31/12/2007 22:01

Hi folks

Lovely to see Bugmum and Dooby!

Oooggs, glad the party went well, and am hoping that you and dh are relaxing and looking after each other.

We are having a thrilling night - NOT! We had a chinese takeaway with Becky - her first ever experience of one! I think she liked it. They are tucked up in bed, but Katie is coughing a lot again and I am sure B will wake up as we have fireworks going off around us already! Sorry- somewhat pessimistic!

Have just played Millionaire with dh - at least I won! Not even drinking, as we still both feel pants!

Anyway, hope everyone is having fun whatever you are doing. x

StealthPolarBear · 31/12/2007 22:03

They have palm trees and there's a place called Twelveheads nearby - IMO it's a different country

fpesha · 31/12/2007 22:05

Oooh Oooh - spb - south west meet up when you're down?!?! Just tell dh you have a group of long lost cousins you never thought to mention before that you want to say hi to on your way down

StealthPolarBear · 31/12/2007 22:10

aargh I think it's going to be stressful, so far I have us gettting the train to edinburgh and then flying to newquay
although
hang on,..

StealthPolarBear · 31/12/2007 22:10

hmm no that was stupid
Where are you pesha?? Do you hvae palm trees in your garden?

elkiedee · 31/12/2007 22:34

How long do you have to plan your trip SPB?

fpesha · 31/12/2007 22:41

Er no I have a crap garden!

But oooh yay if you want to come visit, i could buy a blow up one!

I'm in Somerset btw, crapsville Yeovil!

fpesha · 31/12/2007 22:41

Ahem I meant a blow up palm tree btw

elkiedee · 31/12/2007 22:46

As opposed to a blow up garden or a blow up ..... what did you think we might think you meant?

fpesha · 31/12/2007 22:54

Well blow up bed of course

WestCountryLass · 31/12/2007 23:20

SPB, where do you live?

Am going to log off now as Leo and DD are still up

We have had a chinese take away, DD and Leo seem to like prawns with chilli and garlic and eaten ten ton of rubbish and I am half way through a bottle of cava So I need to put the laptop away and welcome the new year in with my man.

As an Irish saying goes "may your pockets be heavy and your heart be light and may good luck pursue you each morning and night".

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

StealthPolarBear · 31/12/2007 23:37

Hi everyone
Trip is for a wedding on the 16th of August. Have come to the conclusion we will drive as the stress of trying to pack everything for us and a baby will be too much without a car!
Somerset is quite far from Cornwall isn't it? (I'm sure my ignorance is showing, it's all just down south to me, although I do know both are south west )
WCL, I am in Durham, so according to aa routeplanner, 9 hours away from Falmouth.
Well, was planning an early night, might as well kill time till 12 and then say Happy New Year to DH!

elkiedee · 31/12/2007 23:40

Well, if you're driving, maybe you could plan a stopover or two en route.

Sexmasonlegs · 31/12/2007 23:41

Blimey, 9 hours. Gulp!

Well, I hadn't planned to be up so late either- time fies when you are having fun!

Heading off soon, but just wanted to wish everyone a happy and healthy new year. Let's stick together for 2008 - 2007 has been great with you all - long may it continue.

Lots of love to everyone. xx

StealthPolarBear · 31/12/2007 23:48

RIght, back down to see in new year with DH and then to bed, good night all xx

elkiedee · 31/12/2007 23:50

Thanks SOL. I was just reading another thread where someone who has gone through a lot to adopt her son - and is a single mum - expressed clearly how happy she is to be here in that situation. I was really touched and it made me realise how ridiculous it is to feel miffed about not going out. We're so lucky really...

Hope New Year is good for us and all our little ones. And as SOL has said, that we stick together in 2008 - have you looked at our post volume compared to March or May 2007?

fpesha · 01/01/2008 00:04

Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

fpesha · 01/01/2008 00:05

[smug]

Nathan is still awake

StealthPolarBear · 01/01/2008 00:05
