Oh gawd, what were you lot on last night? Not a hope in hell of catching up ever, but I kind of got the gist of some of it. Have no idea who NGT is though. No plans to get pregnant here either, but we might move house...off to panto this afternoon, catch you later...

Sexmasonlegs · 31/12/2007 12:19

Afternoon!

You lot are nutters!

Pmsl at the conversation last night, esp about Pesha's boobs being posted.

Luce, what a pita re the vomiting - hope everyone is better soon.

CD, hope your dh is ok.

Pesha, enjoy your shopping trip.

All ok here. B out with dh so just me and K. Still feel awful - my hands feel really odd - slightly numb

NorthernLurker · 31/12/2007 12:22

elkie - you are not an old bat! My prediction for 2008 - when you want to get pregnant again it will happen very quickly

NorthernLurker · 31/12/2007 12:23

oh SOL - that sounds foul - will hope for new year, new health eh?

weeonion · 31/12/2007 12:25

hi folks. were youlot on something last night???

have had a crying baby here for 1.5 hrs - will not give in and go to sleep.

NorthernLurker · 31/12/2007 12:26

poor you wo - can you get out for a walk?

cazboldy · 31/12/2007 12:26

You Lot!!!

It was dead on here all day yesterday and then look at what you go and do!!!

Oooggs - I was 14 when I fell pg with ds1, but 15 2 months before he was born.

He is 11.
dd1 is just 8
ds2 is 6 and a half
ds3 will be 2 on Jan 3rd
and Molly of course will be 9 months on the 6th.

Just back from the doctors with molly, her cold is just not clearing up. the very nice doctor agreed with me and she now has a bottle of yellow antibiotics.

I also have a coil, and so far have had no problems with it octo, but I did have problems with the mini pill when I was on that after having ds2. I kept being really late and then having really massive horrible periods. After this had happened a few times I went to the doctors and he said it was because I was getting pg and it was not implanting. Needless to say I stopped taking it. It does depend on what kind of coil you have as to how it works - whether it is an old fashioned copper one or a mirena?? (i think that is what it is called) with hormones in. I have a copper one. The copper also helps to kill the sperm!

StealthPolarBear · 31/12/2007 12:26

oh no weeonion
Would a walk make her sleep?

weeonion · 31/12/2007 12:36

we have been out in the pouring rain for a while but she wouldnt give in. dp is on nights so trying to keep her as quiet as i can.
serously considering seeking out some kinda support re her sleeping. all day naps and night sleeps have gone to pot at the mo...

NorthernLurker · 31/12/2007 12:41

oh that is grim - so she's now massively over-tired right? Try putting something on the television that you can focus on - calm film, news 24, Topgear on UKTV Gold (it's always on), wrap a blanket loosely round her and sit down in an upright chair - so you can use your legs to bounce sway etc. Hold her firmly - don't look at her - focus on the televison - and then stay put till she gives in - expect some frantic wriggling and screaming at first. Good Luck

cazboldy · 31/12/2007 13:10

Good advice NL I have been doing that exactly with Molly....she has been so ratty....but only trouble is you are then stuck there for ages until they wake up - but at least you get to have a sit down!

Octo · 31/12/2007 13:10

Hello after last nights marathon am having a few days holiday!

Happy new year xxxxxxxxx

NorthernLurker · 31/12/2007 13:12

Thanks Caz - well if you are feeling bold you can try putting them down - but I quite like holding B tbh - rod for my own back and all that!

NorthernLurker · 31/12/2007 13:13

Hi Octo - see you soon then I hope

cazboldy · 31/12/2007 13:18

I know NL you sound like my mum!
It's nice to be able to cuddle them while they still fit on your lap! Sometimes I sit there with Molly and look at all of the others and feel really lucky - It always cheers me up!

cazboldy · 31/12/2007 13:19

Same to you Octo!

cazboldy · 31/12/2007 13:19

Seems to be us on here in the daytime and then all the others at some ungodly hour chatting away!!!

NorthernLurker · 31/12/2007 13:21

I was here last night as well - just here now whilst dh is making lunch and b needs holding

cazboldy · 31/12/2007 13:24

oh well just me then! Molly is here too!

NorthernLurker · 31/12/2007 13:26

B waves to molly - and then buries her head in me

StealthPolarBear · 31/12/2007 13:59

hi
just taken eyes off t for sec and he was climbing the stairs

NorthernLurker · 31/12/2007 14:03

SPB - we found B eyeing up ours on Saturday - time for the stairgate - I was hoping we would have moved before she did

StealthPolarBear · 31/12/2007 14:05

we need one for the bottom, have a pressure one at top but have been reading a thread where it says they're not good enough for top
what do you all think?

NorthernLurker · 31/12/2007 14:10

is a pressure one where you sort of squeeze the top to release it? If so I would think that's fine for now - and when he's bigger you'll have to look at him and judge whether he's going to experiment with it or not. We have wooden ones that my dad made to fit our stairs - they just bolt but neither of the girls ever showed any interest in escaping - it was a barrier and that was it - hopw B's the same - actually no - I want to move before we get to that stage!!!

oooggs · 31/12/2007 14:17

hi all

I won't need to borrow your maternity wear (having sold mine) it was pretty final at lunchtime, emotionally mixed up and have to put on a front at the 'party' at 3pm.

You lot are funny at guessing - will post later as very busy, sad, in pain, tired, upset, at the moment.

Thank you xxxxxxx

(please just don't say 'it was for the best' cos I don't think I could handle that right now)
