dippy
I used to feel like that, before I went back to work
still do on bad days

runnyhabbit · 19/12/2007 20:45

oh dippy

I've been thinking about you and work. Is there anyway you could be a volunteer in an area you'd really work in? Maybe this could be a way around the "no experience, no job" cycle, iyswim

Idreamofchocolate · 19/12/2007 20:46

Yes, I agree Eddas, too much talking .

Er, yes Dippy, my life feels like that too, always washing stuff, cleaning stuff, putting stuff away, picking up after other people, wiping stuff (arses and worktops)...can't imagine how I'm going to manage it all when I go back to work in 19 day's time (gulp).

Oooggs, sorry to hear about dh's nan. Neither me nor dh have any grand-ps left, they all seemed to die in very quick succession .

Ange - you really are having a rubbish time of it. Hope you and the DCs manage to get better in time for Christmas.

runnyhabbit · 19/12/2007 20:46

a counsellor perhaps?

runnyhabbit · 19/12/2007 20:47

Dh has just got in, after leaving the house at 3.15 this morning

Best go and be a fabulous wifey

Get him his pipe and slippers Runny

RudolphtherEDDASnosedreindeer · 19/12/2007 20:52

CD, yes feels like that all the time. Same old same old

I had athought the other day about your work situation. Have you thought about advertising as a work from home secretary type person. Lots of small business could probably do with someone to write letters for them, maybe write invoices and things. Just a thought

DippyChristmas · 19/12/2007 21:13

Thanks guys Glad I'm not alone and thanks for the ideas- voluntary stuff is good runny - Have been considering joining the Beachy Head chaplaincy here in Eastbourne for a while now - Perhaps I need to get off my big arse and galvanise myself for action!!? Home secretarial stuff is a good one too, Eddas .....

DippyChristmas · 19/12/2007 21:13

life is total bollocks, isn't it!!?

iMustBeMad · 19/12/2007 21:14

utter tosserishness

fpesha · 19/12/2007 21:16

You're depressing me now too!
I try not to think about the long term tbh, just try and get through each week/month. I'll deal with more when I'm ready.

DippyChristmas · 19/12/2007 21:28

Ditto, but sometimes I can't help but look at the bigger picture ..... and then I just really, really wish I hadn't!

How are you guys anyway?? You working tomorrow IMBM??

Sexmasonlegs · 19/12/2007 21:34

CD, sorry you are feeling flat.

I have to say I feel more positive/upbeat having gone back to work. I do know how hard it is tho trying to get something sorted workwise. I am sure there is a website specifically for mothers looking to return to work. Can't think what it is. I'll see if I can find it.

IDOC, pmsl at wiping arses and worktops - not with the same cloth I hope!

Runny, what are you on tonight????

iMustBeMad · 19/12/2007 21:34

nope, day off

Sexmasonlegs · 19/12/2007 21:36

iMustBeMad · 19/12/2007 21:43

iMustBeMad · 19/12/2007 21:47

now listen here, if you've posted your children to me I'm sending them straight back

iMustBeMad · 19/12/2007 21:50

Sexmasonlegs · 19/12/2007 21:59
