Evening all, it´s my biiiiiirthday!!! Had a busy but lovely day. Waiting to get ready to go out but sis and bil´s flight is 3 hours late so not sure they´ll want to come and the weather is crap so not really luring me outdoors I have to say though it will be lovely once we´re in the restaurant I´m sure.

N is so full of energy it´s mental, lots of screeching, shouting, wanting to stand/climb/grab etc etc but he´s so lovely. He says a lot of mumumum and dadadada and blows raspberries so much he has a red rash on his chin and cheeks from all the saliva! Dh said ´hola´ to him the other morning and it really really sounded like he said it back too cute.

Um. NB - I was going to write back to your email this morning but was very to see you had posted it on MN too. Am not really sure what to make of it all. I realise you need support right now, I´m just not sure that MN is the best place to get it.. not given everything. And I really do mean that from the pov of what is best for you.

Runny - your goat was a lovely idea x

Maveta · 21/12/2007 18:47

imbm - eek at that photo glad you are ok and so pleased you are enjoying your gift..

have a lovely night all x

NorthernLurkerwithastarontop · 21/12/2007 18:53

Happy Birthday Maveta

AndaPinionsinaPearTree · 21/12/2007 19:03

I have got one and only comment to make this evening.

And that is that I was so sorry to hear yet more bad news Ellie, and so pleased to hear that no-one was injured.

I cannot even be bothered to add anything else with regard to the recent goings on. My family take up too much of my time.

Especially at such an important time of year.

4 more sleeps..................

Sexmasonlegs · 21/12/2007 19:09

Happy Birthday Maveta!!!!!

IMBM, blimey, scary picture. Hope you are ok still.

K off colour - only had 4 ounces of milk - not like her at all.

Hope everyone is ok.

Anyone seen Leaky recently?

christmascrackerboldy · 21/12/2007 19:12

Happy Birthday Maveta!

that must have been so scary Ellie. I have had two accidents - 1 bad and one not so bad - neither of them my fault and both with dc with me!

iMustBeMad · 21/12/2007 19:13

Octo, isn't it time you started adding the number of sleeps left into your nickname as you did when we were pg?
Or maybe you could instead Pinions?

runny- I have received more than enough, and the goat is a fabulous idea, I love goats, Skott has banned me from getting one so will think of 'April' the goat fondly instead

As for the NB saga, i'm afraid to say I just can't consider being support for her. When she was out of order towards me I got all the pnd stuff as an excuse, but still no apology, which is when I decided that she really wasn't worth the thought space. Every last ounce of sympathy I had left in me went out the window with her posts on that last thread. I'm sorry if it sounds harsh, but as much as I love all of you, I will not be continuing to post regularly on this thread if she returns in the near future, I am not judging her for what she did, we all make mistakes, but for the way she is now dealing with her mistakes . I cannot bring myself to have a casual chat with someone that has so little respect for former (and present) friends. I fully expect to get a backlash now, for some reason my posts always get one where others don't , but I'm sorry, I needed to say it.

iMustBeMad · 21/12/2007 19:15

caz, with the dc? that must have been so much worse

I am still ok, about to settle down with a pizza

NorthernLurkerwithastarontop · 21/12/2007 19:46

B is whimpering but I think she is going to settle so on with the big wrap!

ElfPolarBear · 21/12/2007 19:57

Happy Birthday Maveta!
SOL, so sorry K is ill
oooggs, OK, I will hold my horses a bit
Scary picture mad one, and the car one's pretty bad too!
Only joking, I love the tree one. Being the disorganised mess that I am I didn't add a bauble to the tree but I planned to (just didn't text in time!) and it was going to be along the lines of how the main thing I take away from your posts is what a fantastic mum you are to your two LOs.
Anyway, to counter all that slushy stuff, anyone got a recipe for goat stew? Only joking, I'm a vegetarian. April is a lovely name, do you think we're the only PN group to have 2 pets?
KHIN, I think it's really good of you to be supporting NB at the moment. Unfortunately I'm not able to do that. She's already destroyed any trust I ever had in her, and at the moment everything she does just screams drama-loving attention seeker who gives no consideration to anyone else at all - I'm not prepared to play along. I'm sorry if that comes across as excessively harsh, and I hope you realise this rant's not aimed at you!

NorthernLurkerwithastarontop · 21/12/2007 20:15

Thing is - there are quite a big group of folks on this thread. Some have been more affected by what's gone on than others and are consequently understandably hurt and angry, but I would think that there is enough 'space' here for NB to be offered support without detracting from the friendship and support offered by and to everyone else.

To really spell it out - I don't want to see two camps here, posters who have been through so much together, awkward and distant from one another. I'm a latecomer and I can see how this thread has worked wonders. Can I implore everyone - those who can offer NB support do so and everybody - keep talking - about knickers and fridges and our wonderful children. Keep on together please.

I hope this doesn't upset anyone and it's certainly not aimed at anyone - I've just found this whole situation first confusing, then upsetting and now a bit scary and I wanted to do some damage limitation if possible.

Idreamofchocolate · 21/12/2007 20:40

Happy birthday Maveta!

IMBM - glad you're ok, if a bit shaken up. Will you manage to get another car?

Too tired to wrap this evening (i.e lacking enthusiasm). Had a glass of wine and it's just made me want to sleep. Nighty night!

iMustBeMad · 21/12/2007 20:48

I know what you're saying NL, but at the same time I cannot just 'keep chatting' with someone that has so little respect for me and my friends

IDOC, no idea tbh, once the insurance money comes through it will be no problem, the car was worth ebough for me to get another one, but in the meantime I have absolutley no idea what I'm going to do, may have to look on ebay for something very cheap to get me through the next month then work out how to pay for it after

Idreamofchocolate · 21/12/2007 20:52

IMBM - when our car was written off the money came through pretty quickly, I guess because they offered us a reasonable amount for the car straight away so it was all agreed quite rapidly. Hope it's the same for you.

ElfPolarBear · 21/12/2007 20:53

Do hire places do any deals for if you want a car for more than a few days?
Had a text from Dippy, she's on her way to family so will be away for a few days.

NorthernLurkerwithastarontop · 21/12/2007 20:54

Oh no IMBM - I didn't mean that - I totally appreciate how you must feel about that. What I meant rather was for everyone else to keep going - not some people drift off because they could support NB - and so felt awkward and others drift because they couldn't.

Oh I'm sorry to be so inarticulate - I know what I mean but I can't put it down.

Anyway - good to hear you'll have enough for another car - hope the insurance is quick!

ElfPolarBear · 21/12/2007 20:56

SHould go and clean bathrooms and wrap presents
Not to mention cook lots of vegetables, chop them into finger sized chunks and freeze
Must...get...off...bum

mammyjounderthemistletoe · 21/12/2007 20:56

Runny,,,,,,,,,,,,, dont say nice things like that, you made me cry! You are lovely too! [mutual admiration emoticon]
The goat was so lovely, a fab idea which captures the true meaning of Christmas.

IMBM, bloody hell girl. Thank god (or any other entity you like) that you are ok. Someone or something is watching you madam. So so glad you have come out of it relatively unscathed.

Happy Birthday Maveta!! Have a lovely evening xx

SOL, hope K is ok soon. F is still full of a cold and generally crap. I am knackered from getting up every flaming hour for the last 3 nights Please please let me get some sleep tonight!

Ok, I plan to just say this about NB. I did email her offering support and saying I was happy for her to return. I then read that thread and I now just dont know what to think. PND is a terrible thing, but I dont think it can be blamed for everything. I had it, but you still know if what you are doing is totally out of order. I really really wanted to be a means of support and I did think (from her email) that she was remorseful, but now I really dont know. I wish her well for the future, but cant really go any further than that right now.

christmascrackerboldy · 21/12/2007 20:56

dippy i got your letter today!

imbm the worst one was 5 years ago and i had dd1 and ds2 with me and we were on our way to get ds1 from school with my mum.
i saw a car coming and pulled over and he was going so fast that he lost control and ended up hitting us head on. it turned out he had been drinking and to make matters worse he was/is schizophrenic and had only been released from hellesdon hospital 2 days previously.
trust my luck hey!

anyway he was a total nut job.

he eventually ended up in court for driving with undue care and attention. they couldn't prosecute for the drinking as he was trapped for 4 hours and he wasn't over the blood alchohol level by the time he had a blood test in hospital!

also he denied that the 40m skid marks were his as his car landed off them after ricocheting off mine - there were no witnesses.

we were very lucky.

i am now a bit of a car seat freak!

ElfPolarBear · 21/12/2007 20:57

Did no one even raise a smile slightly at my goat stew comment?

mammyjounderthemistletoe · 21/12/2007 20:59

I did read your comment, but had forgotten by the time I came to post

NorthernLurkerwithastarontop · 21/12/2007 21:00

Goat stew - you must be having a laugh EPB Will that do (eager-to-please-Lurker)

mammyjounderthemistletoe · 21/12/2007 21:00

did make me smile though!!

NorthernLurkerwithastarontop · 21/12/2007 21:01

There was supposed to be a comedy pause in that last post but I lost it somewhere

ElfPolarBear · 21/12/2007 21:01

hmmm
[thaws]
Right
Off to clean and wrap
And maybe eat a home-exploded mince pie
