Well my christmas eve has started great, jst had a massive row with dh, started off over something petty but then he started on something which is a sore point with me and so things escalated (sp?). He is now in bed sulking while im up still seething. I knwo i should be the grown up and make the first move for the childrens sake but im so mad, he just doesnt seem to give a shit about my feelings sometimes.

The arguement actually started last night when he came home from the pub but I ignored him rather than getting into a slanging match but this morning he really pissed me off

AbbyLou · 24/12/2007 10:09

Sorry you're having a shit Christmas Eve Pebble. Things always escalate more at this time of year don't they. Petty, silly arguments which wouldn't normally bother you turn into full on rows. Hopefully your dp will stop sulking soon and get into the festive mood. Mine is out working at the moment but should be back about 11. He runs a cleaning business but for some reason, now it's Christmas, loads of his cleaners are ill. I'm rather suspicious of it tbh but there you go. As a result he has had to do loads of house cleaning himself which hasn't gone down too well. I think it's good practice though!! It's worth it to keep the customer!
I've got to brave the supermarket in a bit and I'm taking ds with me. R can stay here with dh. Ds has decided he wants to get Daddy some new slippers for Christmas but I don't know if we'll get any now. I also need to go and have a moan in Asda. I wanted strawberries yesterday for my trifle but they only has organic ones which cost me £5 for 2 punnets! Anyway, the date on them says 26th but they've started to go mouldy overnight! I'll be demanding my money back. I'm dreading going though, I had to fight for a parking space on Saturday so god knows what it will be like at 11.30 today!!

AChristmasMeadow · 24/12/2007 10:26

Well Christmas has just been cancelled for Jack this year. Aside from being the devil child and not doing a single good thing so far this morning, he has now RUINED my sofas by drawing in biro all over the leather!

twasthenightbeforechristmouse · 24/12/2007 11:13

DD is joining in with the festivities and has just snapped DHs Mont Blanc pen he was using to write tags with her so he is in bed sulking and DD is in her room.

Welcome to the joys of christmas.

oopswediditagain · 24/12/2007 12:47

largevirginbirthandtonic · 24/12/2007 16:44

Whats up SOH? Are you coming to see us?

Have a lovely day tomorrow all of you xxx

ShowOfHands · 24/12/2007 19:34

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house not a creature was stirring...

... apart from Mathilda who was honking and snorting in the corner and leaving trails of slime over the house, not unlike a rancid variation on tinsel. Father Christmas came early to the ShowOfHands house and brought with him coughs and colds for all. Mummy ShowOfHands pulled on all her Norfolk resources, kicked the fat, jolly bugger orf her land and cancelled the festivities.

In all seriousness, a very happy, restful and bountiful Christmas to all. I blardy love the lot of you.

Lupins71 · 24/12/2007 20:00

AM Sorry to hear about the sickness but yippee on the sleeping through

Pebble - ahhhh at your dp, mine hasnt even wrapped my bloody presents and I had to go and get them myself , how did you get on at bingo - I have banned myself, due to no longer having a debit card with which to feed my habit, In my defense i did win jackpost twice so got about 5 and a half grand

LGT I have been on NORAD and am more excited that the kids I just get too excited and xmas

AM oh bless at Jack sometimes they are just too cute with things they say and do, glad you hade a good time

Lupins71 · 24/12/2007 20:15

Pebble hope you have sorted it out with dp, men can be arses at times!

AM OMG at Jack and the sofas - I take it back about being cute!! LGT will know of a magic cure to get it out Im sure

SOH we too are full of cold and cough - well me and A anyway, hope your feeling better soon

Well guess what I did today............................................................................................... ................................

I went and had all my hair chopped off - oh yes it is no longer tickling the bottom of my back, did I go to waist length - noooooooooooooooo, did I go shoulder length, noooooooooooooooooooooooooo, did I go all the way to my hairline and keep the front a bit longer so it tucks behind my ears, yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss, it feels so much better, what is the point it lovely long hair if you dont do anything with it because it takes too bloody long and youhave to tie it up because your 8 month old (zoinks how did he get that old) pulls it and it drives you mad, I didnt tell anyone just went and done it, dp and dd were a bit shocked but both said it really suits me, I am really pleased with it too, also i needed a bit if a pick me up, as of new year I am filing for bankrupcy, when dp was at his lowest earlier in the year and wasnt working we fell really behind and although we have made offers of payments they keep getting rejected so I have had it with them, its not like we have a house they can take, we dont really own anything and it will be a chance to start afresh, I dont take this decision lightly but I really feel they havent given me a choice I cant pay what I dont have!!

Anyway I hope everyone has a fantastic day tomorrow and hugs to you all, I hope the little bundles enjoy thier 1st xmas - omg a year ago we looked like teletubbies lol!! Lets hope we are still all sane (ish) by the end of it

Right Im off to do the dishes, and bring the pressies down, I would say Im going to prepare the veg and peel the spuds but I have to confess that aunt bessie does a much better job than me and the nice man at morrisons kindly washed peeled and froze the veg lol!!

MumtoCharlotteMay · 24/12/2007 21:05

Just running in to say Merry Christmas to everyone for tomorrow. Hope you and the little ones have a great day. We're all very excited for C's first Christmas, and the sheer ammount of stuff she's been bought is slighty like a Toys r us store!

She's in her wee 'My First Christmas' sleepsuit tonight and wondering what's going on lol!

Love to all, LW x

AbbyLou · 24/12/2007 21:22

Just wanted to say Happy Christmas to all the lovely May ladies, dh/ps, and los. We have spent hours tonight moving presents downstairs and still have the stockings to fill. I think we are more excited than the kids! C is scared stiff of Santa so Christmas has to have a slightly different story here. In our house Santa doesn't come down the chimney into the house, he magics the presents from his slegh in the sky into the house and into the stockings! God, the lengths you have to go to!

camerYULEmama · 24/12/2007 21:57

Happy Christmas to all, have a wonderful day

twasthenightbeforechristmouse · 25/12/2007 00:06

MKG · 25/12/2007 06:09

Kisses and hugs for all.

Mrsjollyballs · 25/12/2007 15:21

A VERY Merry FIRST Christmas to all the May 07 babies.

Love and hugs to all too. xxx

Here's to another year of wonderful MN support. Love you all.

AM, I have biro remover for leather, it is good. Shout if you'd like it.

AChristmasMeadow · 25/12/2007 20:41

Happy Christmas everyone one.
Hope Santa bought you everything you asked for.

Ella was the grumpiest baby in the world and managed about 45mins sleep all day. Jack was over the moon that Santa bought him the golden coin maker and then told us that he was the luckiest boy in the world

largevirginbirthandtonic · 25/12/2007 21:50

Not to be the bearer of gloom and doom, well actually i am. Nice morning turned in to hell, i got a migraine and spent from 11-330 in a dark room missing xmas dinner with the family

Got up and was fine spent some timw with my sister her boyfriend, my parents and my brother. Then we walked home, i phoned the kids and spoke to them all but Hugs. They got masses of stuff, inluding the twins getting a DS. Cue dh and i feeling dredful that exp has them and gives them so much while we cant do the same. Little B got a wooden dog and an activity cube from Santa. He claims poverty and gives us next to nothing for the kids while we struggle all the time and he obviously has loads.

It is so frustrating, especially for dh who works so hard and has so much crap to put up with. Sometimes it seems so unfair.

He has now gone to bed with a headache having been sick. So im thinking it may have been a bug i had and now he has it too. I'm watching Doctor Who all alone and very sad i dont have all my babies to enjoy it with. Think i can safely say it has been a washout

Doom and gloom exiting now.... sorry ladies. Hoping for a better day tomorrow.

Mum2G · 25/12/2007 22:02

Mum2G · 25/12/2007 22:13

Sorry to hear that LGT, Dh and I had gastroentiritus (sp?) last week - sickness and the other end too - sorry can't spell the d word. according to our doc - it is rife in fareham and gosport.

Hope you are feeling better soon, remember how much love you give your kiddies, it's that that they will remember more than anything else,no money can buy that

cinnamontam · 26/12/2007 00:11

A very merry christmas to you all. I really wish for all the sore heads, tummies and bad behaviour to vanish and begone!!

About to go and snuggle up in bed with Tild and DH after eating waaaaaay too much food. Going to do toast and tea for a couple of days.

God bless you all

MKG · 26/12/2007 02:33

Cruz and I are sitting here reflecting on his first Christmas, and we both agree that it was great and probably one of the best days ever. Mateo had a blast because this is the first Christmas he knows how to open presents. He got all kinds of Thomas toys, ate plenty of good food, and had a great bubble bath. He wailed cried himself to sleep. But all in all a success.

Cruz and I had a blast because after breakfast and present opening dh took Mateo to visit with his family while I stayed behind to make dinner. I loved it because Cruz napped most of the time and for the first time in a long time the house was quiet. I got everything done and even had time to relax a little before dh came over with some of his family for dinner.

Cruz had a blast because he got a little red wagon to bang around. and while Mateo was out he had a nap that wasn't interrupted by his brother and was able to play on the floor without being stepped on or hugged to death. I'd have to say that this has been one of the best Christmas' in a long time.

My mom called today and said that she is having a blast over there, and that England is being very kind to her. So thank you.

LG&T I hope you feel better, and don't be sad about things. Your kids know how much you love them.

Lupins71 · 26/12/2007 08:46

Good morning all - hope everyone survived the big day, god I foung it tiring and hard work, I did enjoy myself but seemed to be the only bugger doing anything in the way of sorting out the kids, doing food, clearing up, explaining games blah blah blah, while dp snoozed on the sofa , Still it was lovely and for 8 month olds I can highly reccomend the best pressie in the world ............. wrapping paper oh yes no need for gifts they are much more interested in wrapping paper

Can you believe my pressies didnt get wrapped he said no point as I knew what they were

DD was up until 10.30pm we sat and did hama beads as she said I have no time for her I wouldnt mind if it were true but we do loads together, the 1st thing she said when she got up was "wheres my tendo" - oh what have I created lol!!

Off to dp's mums today to eat even more food to add to the 10ton i consumed yesterday

LGT I can honestly say from experiance it is not what you parents will buy you that you remember its the time and love and care you put into them, xmas isnt just about pressies, and xmas is only 1 day the other 364 days that you spend loving them that will matter in the long run, sorry to hear you had a migraine I really hate them with a passion, hope you and dh are feeling much better today

Right have to go have a dlamation to train (virtual of course)
