Hi all,

Hi to Cam!So nice to hear from you..

Yay Mum2LB..Let us know how you go on tomorrow..

Hey Mrs JB..nothing to add on what the others said but thinking of you...

Hey largegandt..Any Muffins for me?Detox is officially over on Thursday!!

Glad you had a good time MumtoCM..Nothing worse than a hangover with a crying baby though..but got to be done to keep some semblance of a life!

TYG/JW have emailed y'all..Thats pretty exciting re the house JW..Hope you get an offer soon..and it looks an amazing trip TYG.Room in your suitcase?

Big Hi to all I have missed..

Am very stressed out now about the work thing..and have also been told today that they have lost half the work I did for my qualification, (remember I was doing it before I left)so I will probably have to do it again. It has taken them since August to tell me this, and I cannot believe the incompetence of losing something someone worked so so hard on..TBH I have been in tears all afternoon...I have requested another meeting with my boss to discuss my job but I really cant even bear the thought of going back now

Sorry to come on here drinking my cup of misery..
Off to bed now so hopefully things will look better in the morning..
On the bright side I have fit back into my skinny jeans today (Although I still wont be wearing them in public..thats another half a stone down the road)

MumtoCharlotteMay · 28/01/2008 21:51

Oh but I will add that there must be something in the water as my cousin is preggers again. Her dd was born exactly a month before C so there will be a 15 month gap as she's due in July. Yer all blimmin mad!

scootermum · 28/01/2008 21:52

Oh glad to hear you appt went well Mum2CM..nighty night

MumtoCharlotteMay · 28/01/2008 21:57

Scoot Lordy they are flippin useless by the sounds of things! Imagine being so careless with something somebody has worked so hard on, and not telling you until now! Sounds like they need a good boot up the bum, if I was nearer to you I'd do the honours!

Feeling mad for you!

Must go to bed but will hopefully catch you on here tomorrow. x

AprilMeadow · 28/01/2008 22:27

Now i dont want you to all laugh BUT MrsJB asked me to do a SPREADSHEET with all baby birthdays on it....... so if anyone wants i have one

Scoot at your work! Thats just awful!!!

M2CM glad your first session went well.

M2LB so pleased that you are still PG

twelveyeargap · 28/01/2008 22:28

Oh Scoot. I don't know what to say except for that I'm so, so sorry and I want to go and give someone a good thump on your behalf.

I would be in tears too. Tears of rage and frustration at the loss of something it took so much out of you to do.

You need to go and speak to the boss. You really do.

And I'm sorry to say this, but I think you need to be on your guard here. Granted, this could be a run of bad luck with the job, but you need to be sure that they're not attempting some sort of constructive dismissal. It sounds very dodgy, the losing of the qualifications work.

twelveyeargap · 28/01/2008 22:29

I sound like a fcking prophet of doom. Sorry. Don't take that too seriously. I really do mean it just as a "be wary" thing.

mom2latinoboys · 28/01/2008 23:04

Scoot, I'm sorry about your job. Make sure you cover yourself on everything. You don't want this to come back on you for anything. I they want to get rid of you who knows what they'll do.

largeginandtonic · 29/01/2008 08:11

CAM you are baaaaackkk, yey! So glad you are all safe and well. I like the idea of the kids behind an electric fence May adopt that one. Is J cross there is no booby? B has been dive bombing my chest in desperation.

Latinomom you must be so anxious to see the midwife, lots of love to you xxx

juliewoolie · 29/01/2008 08:21

MM i do agree scoot sounds a little like constructive dismissal. Make sure you have all your work related paperwork up to scratch, contracts etc. Make a record of all meetings and phonecalls. Try to have an impartial person (difficult I know) in on any meetings. The loss of your work is quite frankly incompotance sorry cant spell.
if you do feel like it is getting to a stage where they are not only taking the piss but breaking employment law there is a fab solicitor in St Albans I know who specialises in this sort of thing.

Lordy I sound like an ambulance chaser. I promise I'm not I sadly had to use one of these lawyers years ago in a job.

But woo hoo on the skinny jeans and ending of detox. Bring on the wine.

M2CM glad your therapy went welll.

AM I will take a copy of that spreadsheet.

cinnamontam · 29/01/2008 08:52

TYG the doidy cup looks great. Have ordered a nice sparkly pink one off ebay...free postage!!

AM i would also love a copy of the spreadsheet

Scoot it is disgraceful that they have lost all that work you did. I remember you slogging over it when you were pregnant. It's just not good enough. I would march in there and ask them what their problem is. 'You lose x hours of my work and then try to post me where I will be commuting up to 4 hours per day!!!'
Is there anyone in the office who can have a look for your work in case it's stashed somewhere?

M2LB good luck with the midwife

JUlie that is such exciting news on your house. Fingers crossed you get an offer for the flat this week.

Mrsjaffabiffa · 29/01/2008 09:15

See twas a good idea AM. Everyone wants one. You can all laugh but my brain is mush and I just know I'm gonna forget them all.
Need to add Mum2George on for the 16th May. That is the only one I can remember and it isn't on there. I think Mum2G found us after their births which is probably why it's not on the stats.

Scoot, I agree with the others, I'm sorry but it sounds just like a stunt my old company may have pulled. Be aware and don't let them win. love to you. xx really hope they have not lost your work, that is totaly un professional and unacceptable.

I am feeling a little better. I slept really well last night and feel a little less angry since getting back from the school run. I nearly left H in the middle of a field on the way to school this morning for arguing with me. The sky is green the grass is blue, you know that sort of arguing a 5yr old does. Why do they ask a question if they already know the answer, which of course will not be the same as your answer...Grrrrrrrrr

Hugs to all who would like one, I'd like one, anyone?

twelveyeargap · 29/01/2008 09:16

Scoot, is there anything in your contract about place of work? There's an employment lawyer in my NCT group who doesn't mind giving advice, though she's wary of saying anything without seeing contracts etc. However, she should be able to tell me how you can protect yourself. If I see her tomorrow or Weds then I'll try to speak to her before seeing you on Thurs.

I'll text Julie to see if Lee Valley works for her.

juliewoolie · 29/01/2008 09:20

cinnamontam · 29/01/2008 10:00

Big hugs for MrsJB xx

Pebblemum · 29/01/2008 12:22

AM Id like a spreadsheet too please.

MrsJB heres a big hug from me too {{{{hhhuuuugggg}}}}}

Cam great to have you back!

I dont know what has come over A, she slept for 3hrs yesterday afternoon until 4.30pm(although she didnt have a nap in the morning), she went to bed at 7.30, slept right through til 7am then dozed again until 9.15 and has now been asleep for 30mins (will have to wake her for lunch in a minute though) This is the little girl who doesnt nap for longer than half hour a day .

Ive ordered one of those doidy cups as well.At the moment I use a speial lid that fits into a normal baby beaker, it has a hole in one side to allow some of the drink to come out but stops A from tipping the whole lot over her in one go, although she had tried many times lol.

Oh well guess i had better get the little madam up otherwise she wont have finished lunch before we have to take E to pre-school. Dh is helping FIL destroy redesign his whole house so cant get him to stay here with her otherwise i would leave her to sleep, she obviously needs it

mom2latinoboys · 29/01/2008 14:03

I would like a spreadsheet too please.

OK I am nervous. am biting my fingers. Am glad that dh took Mateo out this morning so maybe I can take a nap and the time will fly by.

mom2latinoboys · 29/01/2008 14:27

AM- emailed you

MumtoCharlotteMay · 29/01/2008 14:35

Afternoon

Not at all much to report this end. C has just woken from a nap and is playing in her cot. I got in a dvd I'd ordered this morning so we both had a cuddle on the sofa and watched it. Had her weighed yesterday and she is now 18lbs 8oz! She's gotten to be a right chunky monkey recently, I can't hold her for too long anymore!

Mrsjb good to hear you're feeling a bit better.

Scoot I'm still for you. What a bunch of willies they are!

m2lb I hope your mw appt goes all ok.

Pebble, great when they sleep ins't it lol!

Have some chicken dippers and waffles in the oven which I'm going to swallow in one go as I'm a tad hungry. I gave C a plate of food earlier which went down well, bread sticks with soft cheese, tomato, cucumber and wee bits of turkey meat. Most ended up on the floor but she's getting a taste at least. Spoke to HV about C's milk intake etc and she said it was all fine. As long as they're getting 20oz or more a day at this stage then it's fine. Which C is, so am not going to switch her to follow on milk just yet.

Where is SOH at the minute?
