Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Hi all. Just talked to the midwife about the pain and bleeding. She estimated that I'm probably four weeks pregnant. She told me to test again early next week and if still positive to make my appointment. She said that at this point with what I'm feeling I may have an early miscarriage.

Either way it is what it is. I can't wait for dh to get home so we can talk. I'm excited, and nervous, and really want this pain to stop. It is pretty constant.

Pebblemum · 24/01/2008 00:04

Will be thinking of you M2LB.

Am now going to log off and try to look as though i havent been on PC all night when dh gets home

largeginandtonic · 24/01/2008 08:20

OBVIOUSLY i am thrilled for you Latinomom You clearly are hyprefertile and this baby was so meant to be.

BUT for F*s sake.... where is MY BFP? Sex twice since the baby was born?

I may be back later.

TYG fntastic news about the scan, do you remember them faffing with my dates for Beau? I was very pleased that they kept dating it back as i didnt want to worry about induction dates etc.. and he was 10 feckin days late!

Am off now.

largeginandtonic · 24/01/2008 08:22

Latinomom how are you this morning has the pain stopped? I get pretty much constant niggly pain and have had spotting at implantation too. It feels just like a period coming. This baby is very determined

Bensonbluebird · 24/01/2008 11:25

Hi All,

Latinomom -I'm not surprised you need your hand holding. You must be in shock! congratulations though, hope the pain has stopped now.

LG&T - Don't worry you will be there soon. My parents are both from big families - my mum is eldest of 7 and my dad second youngest of 8. I've always wondered if this had any bearing on their decision to only have 2 kids!

AM - sorry to hear about the tummy bug. sounds horrible. I had something similar a couple of years ago and ended up lying on the bathroom floor for a couple of hours because I couldn't move. Luckily DP was around because DS1 was really frightened.

Aidan is finally un-infectious now and is feeling a bit more cheery. Still not sleeping well though. He has really been fighting sleep if he wakes and making a strange growly cry that makes him sound really angry. He makes growly noises when he is happy too. He has started crawling backwards and got himself sitting up from lying down yesterday. I think he will crawl properly quite soon.

twelveyeargap · 24/01/2008 12:42

Any news M2LB? You must be up now...

mom2latinoboys · 24/01/2008 12:56

Well, I started bleeding late last night. It's still not a lot, but getting redder and redder. I'm going to test again early next week but I don't think that this baby was meant to be. I don't know how I feel about this. I only tested to rule out being pregnant, not because I thought I was. Now I wish I hadn't.

The good that has come of this is that it really made me look at my life, and I saw everything that I needed to get in order. We aren't ready for a third in so many ways, but now I know what I need to do to get there.

SKYTVADDICT · 24/01/2008 12:57

M2LB - finger crossed for you.

Congrats on scan TYG.

MumCM! How annoying of your sister. I agree with you - a few minutes isn't a lot to ask for! I very often disappear upstairs and leave C with DD1 (11) and I most definitely expect her to look after him!

Glad you are feeling better AM.

I am back at work and I have told my colleagues that I am pregnant - they seem to think it very funny! They also think I should tell my boss while he is in Oz (which I will have to do tomorrow as he is starting his travels back after that). He will be in office next Thursday. They think he would take it better and have time to think about it if I tell him on the phone. What do you think?

largeginandtonic · 24/01/2008 13:01

Oh Latinomom i hope you are ok, how awful to test and then have this happen. Dont fear the worst yet it may all be ok xxx

SKYTVADDICT · 24/01/2008 13:01

Sorry - x posted M2LB - have a big hug { } and keep your chin up x

MumtoCharlotteMay · 24/01/2008 13:13

Oh dear lord, there must be a baby boom on this thread! All baby talk must stop, you're all making me very broody. I vowed to never do it again, never ever ever. But must admit to finding myself yerning for another one recently.......

MTLB, congrats! Hand held tightly over in Scotland too You'll be fine m'lovely. I really hope everthing is ok for you and bubs.

TYG, yay for the scan going so well. Good to hear everything was all good.

AM, how are you feeling now? I hope you're better and that nasty bug is clearing/cleared.

LG&T, your time will be soon. At the rate these ladies are going, you'll be joining them in no time.

Benson glad to hear little A is better now. C has also been gighting sleep. Rant to follow!

Pebble, how's dh now? Any better?

Where is SOH?

Would C go to sleep last night? Ummmm, try NO! I don't know what's wrong with her. Sometimes she'll go down fine, other nights she just refuses. Had har all bathed, changed, fed and put down at 9 last night. The minute I put her down she started. The screaming continued for 2 and a half hours before she finally gave in. She was knackered as she hadn't slept all day. Why wont she go to sleep? Not a huge fan of cc but it got to the point last night where I just had to leave her crying. I couldn't take it anymore. She used to be so good. But she is really fighting sleep at the minute. I've tried everything I can think of. Any ideas?

Sold my Silvercross pram and carseat etc for £200.00 plus the p+p last night, very happy. Only paid £300.00 for it and it's 8 months old, but still looking like new tbh. Sad to see it go, I remember taking C out in it for the first time when she was tiny. Waiting for the Sky man to show up to install a new box etc at the moment. C's having a nap, enjoying the silence Oh, put a picture of the monkey standing up on my profile. Cannot believe how big she's getting

twelveyeargap · 24/01/2008 13:25

Not napping during the day will make her narky at bedtime M2CM. Overtired and unable to nod off.

M2LB - I'm crossing everything for you. x

twelveyeargap · 24/01/2008 13:29

Our neighbours' house (same as ours by the looks of the pictures), is up for sale for wait for it... £200K more than we paid for ours a year ago. WTF? Dying to know if they're just chancing their arm. Will be ages before the selling price is up on the land registry though. Still, hopefully it will give us some leverage with the bank, who are currently refusing to let us remortgage, because... We are not graduates.

How a degree in media studies from University of Crapsville would make us more able to pay them back I don't know. Did I already mention this before? I'm still annoyed!

mom2latinoboys · 24/01/2008 13:32

Thanks everyone. If I hadn't tested I would be on saying "Yeah I got my period, my bodies getting back to itself Woo hoo". Now I don't know how to feel. It may all still be ok, but I doubt it.

scootermum · 24/01/2008 13:38

Well Mum2CM..Hers something to put you off..My friend just got rushed in for an emergency C section..the scar from her previous c burst during her attempted vbac and her uterus split open in one place and the baby was in contact with her internal organs!Mother and baby doing fine now Well the Mother is a bit sore obviously!

Im so My work are moving me to another service that will take me twice as long to get to to another service that will be very boring to run..They are paying my extra travel costs for a year and the T and C are the same so technically it isnt a demotion and Ive no alternative but to take it..but its a bit of a dead end career wise (I dont really want a career but if I have to work I might as well be challenged whislt im there!)and will be the worst journey ever to get there..it will take even longer than it takes now..So if I was miserable about going back to work before, I am now in the total doldrums!
Im so upset that I just fed M what I believed to be 4 parsnip ice cubes (defrosted obv) and 4 spinach, mixed, but what I now realise was in fact 4 Spinach and 4 Papaya...And the dear girl still ate it all, bless her..It must have been so Revolting!!

Will catch up with the news now though dont like chances as L is going bananas and we have all her antenatal class Mums and toddlers coming in half and hour..it will be chaos..was much easier when they were tiny..

scootermum · 24/01/2008 13:41

Sorry have just read down a but whilst L on the naught step..M2LB`...Can you see the GP to see what has happened or are you waiting to test yourself..thinking of you hon..

juliewoolie · 24/01/2008 14:12

What fuckers scoot, find something else or start an obedience school for toddlers.

M22LB so so sorry am hoping it is ok for you but if not try to be philisophical about it and realise it has made you re-evaluate your life as it is now which can only be a good thing. x

TYG feck me thats alot of money we were rejoicing that DP will have made 100grand in 3 years but 200 in a yr geez. And arnt mortgage companies such numptys what difference would a degree make.

M2CM agree with the sleep god that is TYG during the day napping is vital to them being able to self settle and sleep well at night. I know you are not a fan of CC but why dont you try and get her into a structured daytime routine and then hopefully the night times will get better. You may need to be quite strong with her to get it to work dont look at it as CC think about the freedom you will get back if she naps in the day and sleeps better at night.

Benson glad the pox is all better.

Good luck bak at work sky.

Well the flat is up for sale and we only signed agents contract this morning and they have already had 2 people come look at it. Unfortunaltely it was during Archies lunch and they had to dodge the flying vegetables - oops.

AbbyLou · 24/01/2008 14:13

M2LB hope you are ok. I bet tou feel so mixed up now.
I am at home for the 2nd Thursday afternoon in a row. Last week C was feeling ill with a sore throat, cough etc and this week he has been fine all day and then when cm put his dinner in front of him he barfed everywhere. I had to go and collect him so thought I may as well bring R home as well as she is under the weather with an awful cold. C is feeling perfectly fine now but cm and Nursery have 24 hour sickness rule so I will have to stay at home tomorrow with them. It's a good job my Headteacher is off with a broken arm, Deputy is a friend of mine and much more understanding. I can't believe they are ill so much. Last night I only had 4 hours sleep as R was screaming most of the night and only settled at 2am in our bed. Think I may go and have a nap myself....

mom2latinoboys · 24/01/2008 14:23

Midwife told me last night to test on Monday and if still positive to make an appointment. She said that at this point it would be difficult to find anything as I'm probably only 4-5 weeks along.

I just need to keep on eye on how I'm feeling.

Bensonbluebird · 24/01/2008 14:40

M2LB - Hope you're feeling ok.

Scoot - Is it worth looking for another job?

TYG - Surely it is your earnings records and your job prospects that they should be looking at? it's not as if you've only just started work. Do you think another mortgage company would be worth a try?

scootermum · 24/01/2008 15:06

Shes on the step again..ah the joys of the working Mummy Abby..nothing like having to call your boss for the fourth day in a row to say you have to be off and/or being up ALL night then having to go to work..I love it, no really I do..

It will be sold by tea time JW...

MumtoCharlotteMay · 24/01/2008 16:01

She does usually nap during the day, she's had 2 today, one long and one short. Yesterady she slept for 15 minutes after the toddler group and my have dozed in her pram but no proper nap.

In general she has a pretty good routine during the day, usually eats well, sleeps and plays etc. But for some reason her bedtime routine's been shot to s**t and I can't think of anything that I'm doing that's different to before. A friend of mine who's baby is only a day older than C is having the same problems with her dd. But her dd had 4 teeth come through recently and she's been much better. Could it be teething that's causing it? Would a small dose of Medised perhaps help before bedtime until she's back to normal? Her wee hands are being knawed to pieces at the minute.

Think I'm just going to have to get really tough because I can't keep going the way it is, I'm so tired.

Scoot your poor friend, hope she's ok!

scootermum · 24/01/2008 17:14

Sounds like teeth to me..give her the medised..at the very least you will get some kip..
