See I can't even manage to spell your name! Sorry

cameroonmama · 08/01/2008 21:34

who the heck are Sarah-Jane and Justin???

A - obviously I am seriously insulted by your insuation that SAHM can not have a proper adult conversation, I certainly can - it goes like this 'yes we hope the situation for god sake will you two just stop it in Kenya doesn't impact I am not going to tell you both again on the economy too right that's it you in there and you in there much in the long run...

Jules - take the money and run hun. MrsJB at the handbags and shoes.

anneme · 08/01/2008 21:37

Cheers Mrs JB and Cam.

I was wandering round my classroom humming today - the Storymakers theme tune. It's going well...

cameroonmama · 08/01/2008 21:40

...stories are fabulous, stories are fun...

I bet it feels good to be back at work though.

In fact I should be updating my cv as we speak.

juliewoolie · 08/01/2008 21:51

Ah Sarah Jane and Justin my 2 most favourite people wouldnt dare write what I normally call Justin as it may start another legal battle. Oh Mr Tumble.

So cam what is happening with the move has your Dh gone or are you all sitting tight for a bit longer.

Anneme what do you mean insulting I thought poo was quite a sophisticated conversation.

AprilMeadow · 09/01/2008 08:35

Anne, i am so looking forward to getting back into a world where i dont have to worry whether ds is sitting/standing/lying on dd, where i dont have to keep retrieving dd out of the cupboards/under the table and also to have a conversation from start to finish without having to yell ask nicely for ds to stop doing something.

Weekends and the 2 sessions in the week where they are with me will be so nice as i think i will appreciate them more and hopefully have a high tolerance level - we'll have to see about that last one

Great to chat last night MrsJB. Dh is not at all jealous of the 12-13hrs that J sleeps

Dh is off to work today in his rented office YAY WOOHOO, i can start to look at furniture for E's room and turn it into a proper bedroom rather than bedroom/office/dumpzone.

nappyaddict · 09/01/2008 15:38

lupins sorry for the hijack but what age is the bayamo from?

AprilMeadow · 09/01/2008 19:18

I have my PINK M&P Luna buggy!!!! Its sooooooo lovely nice and light and folds nice and flat. Buggy and changing bag for a bargain £120.00.

Dh is in his office and Ella's bedroom is slowly becoming less of an office and more of a bedroom. Have been looking on at their furniture for Ella's room and i think we will buy the matching bed and put it in the loft until she is ready to go in it. Scary i know but at least i knowe that i will have a range of furniture that matches

How's everyone doing today? Seems very quiet.......

AprilMeadow · 09/01/2008 19:44

Cam just wanted to wish you all the best for your move tomorrow. You will be greatly missed. I hope that you will be able to get on line from time to time. Lots of Love AM x

cameroonmama · 09/01/2008 20:08

Wooo Hoo, yey hey, we are going tomorrow, we are going tomorrow

I can't wait now after our two weeks in limbo.

It make take some time to get online again, but don't fear ladies, I shall return .

In the meantime I expect loads of lovely exciting things to have happened, namely that LG&T has peed on enough sticks to be expecting another tiny Phin (I need to talk to her about introducing my dd to High School Musical, thanks very much ), that Jules is now over the puking in the car seat stage and is big into stuffing her face with crap wholesome fruit and veggies, that MrsJB has finally succumbed to the true expat wife lifestyle of g&t's at noon, April has taken over the boardroom, Anne and Abby have managed to survive the trauma of the classroom, TYG and SOH come back and post again more frequently, that goes for you too Scoot (i will be expecting a branch of the golden arches to be opening up soon in Nairobi ), Lups has stopped buying buggies and MKG/latino mummy has realised that life is better this side of the pond

I shall miss you all in the meantime. God I am going to have to go out and make real friends

Lots of love to all our lovely babies.

scootermum · 09/01/2008 20:18

Bony voyage my darling..I will get onto DH a bit and see if he cant get put in charge of Nairobi ops so I can come for a visit..Good Luck..all the best for your new life! xx

scootermum · 09/01/2008 20:33

Maddie at shcool? How did she go on today Mrs J.

Largegandt after another bun in the oven?Me too..feel really broody..(might also be the thought of going back to work..I HATE leaving my babies)DH says no way though at the moment and from every practical point of view he is right I s'pose (Scoot sulks a bit, teenage stylee)

Evening all to everyone else..

Day 7 of detox..feel starving and grumpy an hav been forced to break my no carbs after five rule today by having some steamed potato..also sank to desperate depths today to get at my one permitted caffeinated drink..had no milk except frozen, both girls were asleep. Was desperate for coffee so after toying with the idea of waking them up and thereby unleashing the hell of a tired toddler and a tired baby, got frozen milk out and chipped some out of the bottle using a cake skewer as a chisel and took a big chunk out of finger in the process....Detox's do funny things to people...
I havent even lost any weight not even a pound.DH has lost 5lbs!

M now eats more food than L who still wont eat anything but ham and bananas..I beg of you..

Did anyone watch cbeebies bedtime hour tonight?Who was the totty reading the story?..I wouldnt say no...

jellybellybump · 09/01/2008 20:36

scootermum · 09/01/2008 21:28

But will she have to go Saturday morning instead then Mrs JB..Gin and Slim?

Pebblemum · 09/01/2008 22:08

Good Luck Cam, hope its not too long before you are back on here.

I too have my new buggy and after looking on the net for all the best ones I went and bought one I hadnt considered before lol.
Before i left the house i was 99% certain that I wanted the pink mod Maclaren Quest, then i spotted this one www.wowoui.com/envy/index.htmlIt looked so elegant up close (a lot better than in the photo)It was reduced from £175 to £99 and came with everything-rain cover, changing bag, footmuff etc. It was so different to anything i had seen on the streets. I was really tempted even though it wasnt any sturdier than the pushchair we have just got rid off but then the assistant told me that WowOui had gone into liquidation and so the pushchair wouldnt come with a guarantee I didnt want to risk wasting £99 if the thing could break and i wouldnt have any come back so I was going to get my original choice. By this time dh had joined me in the shop and seen this Im pretty sure that he chose this because it wasnt pink lol but it was by far the sturdiest and most comfortable pushchair in the shop, even the maclaren looked cheap and flimsy when compared with it. Still like the WowOui one but think i made the right choice. The Jane one should last a long time whereas i think dh would have broke the other one in no time (he is very heavy handed sometimes)

Had Alana weighed today, took over 90mins, it was so busy in the clinic She now weighs 17lb 4oz. They had a woman there telling us all about how to care for our babies teeth. I knew it all obviously but came away with a new drinking cup, toothbrush and large tube of toothpaste for Alana so it was worth listening to it and once the toothpaste and toothbrush are finished with all i have to do is take them to E's pre-school and they will replace them, free of charge. Ethan has a toothbrush for almost everyday of the week so dont think they would be amused if he took them all in to replace lol (my boy is obsessed with toothbrushes as if you couldnt guess )

largeginandtonic · 10/01/2008 08:18

Bensonbluebird · 10/01/2008 10:54

Best of luck Cam if you are still reading this, fingers crossed for you after seeing the news last night.

It's been a while since I posted because we've been away - had a great time in Paris and visited all of the most scenic playgrounds.DS1 got chickenpox the last day we were in Paris, so we visited my parents with a spotty DS1, came home and A was ill, though I'm still not sure if he has had it or not as he didn't have any spots.

It's DS1s 3rd birthday tomorrow and I'm feeling guilty because we had put off organising a party because of the pox so now I'm trying to get something together and catch up on work which I'm also feeling guilty about because I've only managed to work 3 weeks since the middle of November due to the boys being ill and holidays. Better just prop my eyes open and get on with it....

mom2latinoboys · 10/01/2008 13:08

Cam I wish you safe travels today.

StarlightStarbrightSKYTVtonite · 10/01/2008 14:12

Hello all

Hope all goes well Cam.

Cal is at the cm for the first full day today. I went back to bed after I took him, then had a bath and then have been doing some tidying up. I have a huge ironing pile but really can't be bothered.

I think he must be doing ok as she hasn't phoned yet!!

Haven't really got much else to tell, have been keeping up but not had much to say. Spotting stopped so feeling a bit more positive now. Scan on 18 January so only a week away.

scootermum · 10/01/2008 16:29

Big wave to TYG..Im back to work on Feb 25th so do you fancy going for a coffee, (low caffeine, me detox, you with child)before then?
With you onnthe not thining about the pregnancy thing..with Lily I read my Emmas diary thing every week and counted down the days and with poor old Mae I dont think I even gave it a second thought how big the bean was and what it shoudl be doing and all that, (apart from being on here natch)

On not long till scan then SKY..It is exciting!

A pox, quite literally on your house BBB then..(have always wanted to say that to someone )

Well the weather is disgusting.L at cms this aft so was going to strap M into the back pack for the first time and go for a tramp around the countryside..but was to wet so went to Tesco and have done the hoovering instead..the glamour..the builder is coming tonight to measure whatever he needs to with a view to starting to knock down my walls and things in the house hopefully at the end of the month..though God knows how I will manage with all that going on..anyone fancy a house guest with a baby and a toddler for a week or two?

madeindevon2 · 10/01/2008 16:38

hello. not been on in an age.....months probably....cant believe some expecting already!! congrats (you're insane!! haha only jesting) i loved being pregnant and adore being a mummy but for a million reasons i will just be having the one bambino.
