Ella has just been stealing food from ds's plate and has so far chomped through ham and cuecumber!

nannyjo · 07/01/2008 13:09

Thanks everyone. I'll be due mid july but due to complications that i kow i will get it'll probably be a month early like my first 2 were.

I should relax about DS2 milk then it seems fine from what you all say. At the end of the day he's happy, sleeps well and is putting on weight

Yours all eat so much more then mine. I tried all the veg you could think of but he wouldn't open up for it (he loves fruit though) so i gave up with what i should do by the book. He has whatever DS1 has now (within reason) tonights delight is roasted veg lasagne. I would do onion in it normally. With DS1 he never had strong foods till later but this time round it's different, lets face it a bit of onion isn't gonna do him any harm i'm sure.

I can't get him to eat finger foods without gagging and chucking up i would love to give him a bit of toast to keep him hapy while we wait for his slow coach older brother to hurry up and eat his breakfast.

mom2latinoboys · 07/01/2008 13:14

Good morning everyone! I do not want to go to work today. I'm sooo tired.

Last night I was woken up by Mateo who was screaming bloody murder. I run in to find him sitting on his floor shaking and screaming. So I grabbed him and sat on the floor and held him for the longest time while he fell back to sleep. He's so big and because he's the big brother sometimes I forget that he is not too far from where Cruz is now.

And Cruz that little rascal. HE has modified his crawl. Now he has one foot on the ground and the other knee on the ground. It's funny to watch him scoot around, but he kinda looks like the hunchback of Notre Dame.

Oh and about the nookie, I've had sex twice in the past month. I'm just not in the mood for it. It's funny I want another baby, I just don't want the sex that is required.

Mrsjaffabiffa · 07/01/2008 13:18

Well she survived...........; not sure the teachers did. lol They said she cried on and off all morning and cried as soon as she saw me, thats normal though, I remember H doing that. I had to go into the canteen to get her as the "petit section" were still lunching. She doesn't eat at home but at school had managed to polish off a bowl of soup, fish and rice and 2 pots of compote. Minx. Maybe my cooking is THAT bad.

Was a nice quiet morning, managd to get loads done and it was nice to have some time to coo with Jorja. She really is cute, I have just had time to notice today. J is still coughing, she just can't seem to shake the rattle in her chest. I phoned the dr this morning and he has arranged some Physio sessions for her that start at 5pm. Both H&M have had the sessions before and they really help to clear them out.

AM are you hiding from me?

AprilMeadow · 07/01/2008 17:16

Too right i am!!

Nah only kidding, just seem to be missing each other. Will try and get on line later x

juliewoolie · 07/01/2008 20:15

Hi everyone,

the cheek of it the people we are borrowing internet connection from have been really shoddy at resetting it and have had no internet since friday. Think its time to start paying for it.

Morning sickness still revolting I had to ask DP to stop yesterday as I had to vom out the car window.

Sounds like everyone is doing well on the eating front. A is like a maniac when food comes near him. Little taster of his daily intake - 7oz milk on waking followed by 1 weetabix with 2oz milk. Then 7oz @ 11am then full 2 course finger food lunch eg chicken, potatoes, veg etc and petite filous, then another 7oz @ 3pm then massive finger food tea and another 7oz at bedtime. I cant believe he is not more of a porker he is a nightmare swipes off of anyones plates was grabbing stuff out the fruitbowl and will the lick the floor for a few extra nutrients. oh and loves jars!

Congrats on all the crawling standing babes they really are coming along it only seems like yesterday that we were all moaning about the last few weeks of pregnancy.

Cant remember who said about getting a new buggy would defo get the mclaren one we have the quinny buzz while lovely and comfy fricken nightmare on buses and very cumbersome to get in and out the car.

How did the back to work girls go are you all still alive?

Well done Maddie am sure she will be more than happy in a few days at school.

Oh and car seat front we have ordered Archies just waiting for it to be delivered.

Right have no idea how long the internet will last for so off to catch up on my love of trawling the internet looking at useless information.

AprilMeadow · 07/01/2008 20:25

Poor you at having to vom out of the window Julie What car seat did you go for?

nannyjo · 07/01/2008 20:52

that made me chuckle sorry

It was out the window not on one of the car seats.....i really need to get out more

juliewoolie · 07/01/2008 21:07

Hi AM we went for the maxi cosi pior fix. Feel much happier that it is stuck solidly to the car with the prior fix thing. Found a great website which does the entire maxi cosi range in all the fab colours.

Morning all will catch up properly later - well tomorrow when mum goes home, just wanted to tell you all i showed her the pics of all your lovely babies andshe thought they are all totally gorgeous also lgt she spotted hugo and was smitten, i informed her of the hair cutting incident and she found it highly amusing saying what a little darling, i did point out you were slightly distraught at the time

Have a good day all, hoping to go aout and get spoilt today im feeling i need it lol

Funeral went well - no fighting which was strongly on the cards thanksfully it went smoothly and everyone was respectful of the day, hopefully some people will now be able to put stuff to rest

largeginandtonic · 08/01/2008 08:04

Nice to see you Julie, hope the sickness passes quickly. At least you didnt find out till a little later on and will hopefully pass the symptoms in double quick time

Lups it was Jonah who cut his hair not Hugo. Jonah had the same hair as Hugs till he chopped it

Back to work this morning, hoping for lots of teeny tiny babies to snuggle, Beau just doesnt cut the mustard anymore Especially when he wakes me up at 530 in the blardy morning!!

ok ladies time for a bit of a rant. This should prob be in AIBU but cant face the backlash of ungrateful cow comments. I know you will all be much less harsh and if I am being a moo you will tell me nicely.

My mother in law!!!! I am getting rather fed up with the money she keeps shoving at us. It has helped us out several times recently but we dont ask for it she just gives. When she found out about being preggo with A she said she wanted to buy us the cot fair enough I know lots of grandparents do this. She continued throughout that pregnancy to buy us stuff we didnt ask for. Also after A was born if we mentioned we used anything like cotton wool or wipes all of a sudden she would have bought masses of it for us. I now have what I call the cotton wool mountain sitting unused in a drawer. . Anyway before Christmas she asked what we would like for A's Christmas we said that we had to buy a highchair and new car seat so some money towards that would be great as we knew we would get given loads of toys and clothes so felt this was a good way of getting what we needed. So she came over one day and gave my DP a wadge of cash over 500squid and said buy the highchair and carseat dont tell your father how much, this is a recurrent thing dont tell your father! Anyway she keeps thowing money at us but it is all so underhand she leaves money in the kitchen or puts it into DP's hands as she knows I dont approve and neither would her husband. Then at the weekend she gave DP 200 for us to buy a new hoover WTF dont need a new hoover also she told DP she wants to buy us the new double buggy, but nothing was mentioned infront of me or my FIL as I think she is very aware of the reaction.

Should I just be smiling and saying thankyou sweetly. Am I being unreasonable and an ungrateful cow or would it grate on you if you kept being given all this cash I am begining to feel very beholden to her. MY DP says its just she wants to help but I am quite a proud person and feel we should be getting all thse things ourselves.

juliewoolie · 08/01/2008 12:04

God that was epic

largeginandtonic · 08/01/2008 13:02

Take it chick with a smile on yer face She probably had to struggle when she had her's and is desperate to 'help' in her way. If at any point you start to feel as if she is taking over or expecting more of a say with your life because of the money then set up a bank account for A. Stick any money in it and tell her that is what you are doing. She probably wont stop if you ask just be more sneaky. I dnt think you are being unreasonable as when someone does that you may start to feel like you owe them something. Just remember you have given her gorgeous A and she is [hopefully] just thrilled to have him

Now that was epic... oh and please feel free to ignore me just point her in the direction of me i will adopta granny....

My ovulation sticks and preg tests have arrived from ebay i will be weeing on sticks for the forseeable future

juliewoolie · 08/01/2008 13:56

Thanks LG&T.

Woo hoo get peeing my love.

Mrsjaffabiffa · 08/01/2008 14:03

I have to agree with lg&t, can we share her? Nah kidding aside. I can see what you are saying about you feeling like you "owe" her but at least she is giving you money to choose the bigger items, not just buying them for you as some of Grandparents do.
Is A the "First" Grandchild?
The bank account is a fantastic idea a little nest for him, but if you feel you need to mention the subject just try a gentle, thank you we are very greatful for your kindness but you really shouldn't be giving us this money, you do know it is not expected?, We are just happy to know that you would be here to help out if we ever NEEDED it in the future. Then smile sweetly.
If she shruggs it off with oh don't be silly, I want to do it, I like being apart of little A's life and spoiling him, coutchy coutchy coo line then enjoy it and buy yourself a new handbag and shoes. lol

Happy stick peeing lg&t.

mom2latinoboys · 08/01/2008 14:23

Julie I must agree. Although it may seem overwhelming to you, if she wants to give let her give. As long as she knows you are grateful and don't expect it then it really is her choice.

mom2latinoboys · 08/01/2008 14:25

Yesterday was the first day I didn't breastfeed Cruz. I'm kinda sad (which is weird because I didn't expect to feel this way) We've been slowly phasing it out, but it still makes me sad to think that the last time was the last time.

juliewoolie · 08/01/2008 16:38

as ever thanks again wise ladies, I like the idea of a bank account I like the idea of shoes and handbags even more.

OH m22lb I know I felt a bit sad when I stopped feeding my monster, rest asured he prob wont give 2 hoots about whether he is having milk from boob or bottle.

largeginandtonic · 08/01/2008 17:35

Beau keeps dive bombing my chest It is hysterical, he will try and latch on to whatever flesh is avilable! Doesnt stop him flapping his arms like a loon with excitment when i get the bottle out though!!!

I like the idea of shoes too, i need some boots...

anneme · 08/01/2008 20:14

Phew - still standing and everything seems to be working...so far.

Suddenly had a worry - hope I didn't offend anyone when I was worrying that I could not have a conversation that includes the words poo or stop. I was not meaning that SAHMs cannot have an adult conversation just that I was worried that I could not discuss work anymore - sorry if anyone thought i was being rude.

Re feeding - S, who is 8months today, has booby when he wakes - about 7ish, then bowl of readybrek with fruit (pear and dried apricot simmered then frozen), sleep, booby (or bot of EBM) at 11, 12.15ish lunch - 2 courses, 2 booby, sleep, 4.30 booby, 5 supper - 2 courses and then booby before bed at 7. That all makes it sound as if he has a routine....not much!!!

Nice to "see" you all again
back soon
A

Mrsjaffabiffa · 08/01/2008 21:16

Didn't even think of that annemme, but now you mention it. I'm not sure I'm good at adult conversation tbh, it's why I keep chatting on here, I need you lovely ladies to keep my brain working.

Sarah-Jane and Justin just don't quite cut it!
