foxythesnowman · 18/12/2007 13:46

I fucking hate Me Too.

annobalthebignosereindeer · 18/12/2007 13:47

Bumper, 6 hours sleep in 48 hours! You poor thing

Foxy, I may have to take you up on that...

deckthehallswithboughsofholly · 18/12/2007 13:48

Bumper I am dealing in small children...DHL courier them for me at a reduced rate. Does anyone want one? Atm I have 2, one boy, one girl. The boy is a little menace who chews wires and pukes everywhere and the girl is supposed to be potty trained, but keeps weeing on the floor !

annobalthebignosereindeer · 18/12/2007 13:48

Thanks Sputnik I'm also telling DS2 to go back into the playroom whenever he comes out to talk to me

annobalthebignosereindeer · 18/12/2007 13:50

What's Me Too Foxy?

LOL Holly.

Sputnik · 18/12/2007 13:51

One thing about Italy is that they wrap stuff in the shop for you!

Actually my family is so tiny though pressie wrapping is not really a problem, and I do it when I get to my Mum's anyway and don't have anything else to do.

deckthehallswithboughsofholly · 18/12/2007 13:51

I fucking hate me too too! It is the biggest pile of shit ever! It is soooo depressing! I don't want my children to realise the realities of life just yet...Bobby the single mum who works nights cleaning buses, Raymond and Tina the odd couple who also have depressingly crappy jobs, Granny Murray the strange childminder who is clearly on some sort of drug induced trip 24/7 and Rudy the blind market trader!

deckthehallswithboughsofholly · 18/12/2007 13:52

It is a show on cbeebies annobal...it is truly dire!

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 18/12/2007 13:53

Bumper - poor you! Hope you get some sleep soon.

Well, I usually love a cloth nappy over a disposable, but something inside me said "go on use one of those disposables that are gathering dust on the shelf" earlier and I'm glad I did - DD produced such an enormous, sticky, horrible, really stinky poo, that for once I was really glad to just fold the nappy up and bin it. Feel guily though

Sputnik · 18/12/2007 13:54

And he actually goes back there Annobal, wow!
This is a funny conversation.
Poor you Bumper.
I am actually thinking BF is boosting my immune system (to pass it on to the baby).

annobalthebignosereindeer · 18/12/2007 13:54

I shall be avoiding that one then...

I thought you were talking about Me Too and the gimme gimmes - they're a punk cover band

annobalthebignosereindeer · 18/12/2007 13:55

What film did you see Holly?

annobalthebignosereindeer · 18/12/2007 13:57

Good point, Sputnik - neither of them ever really do what I ask - they must be taking pity on me today...

deckthehallswithboughsofholly · 18/12/2007 13:58

The Golden Compass...the book was brilliant, the film was odd!

What a lot of disjointed conversations we are having!

Sputnik · 18/12/2007 13:59

Phew, though I was missing somethin g in terms of parenting. Right off to pick up my darling from nursery

foxythesnowman · 18/12/2007 14:02

If you courier them with DHL Holly they'll sit in the farking depot for days whilst the farking driver is 'sick'.

LOL Jammy, I read it as you put a cloth nappy over a disposable!

deckthehallswithboughsofholly · 18/12/2007 14:05

Thanks for warning me foxy...next time I send a child through DHL I shall pack it extra food just in case!

Are you waiting for christmas presents?

My mum is waiting for something that she ordered from ebay ages ago and waas sent via royal mail. SHe asked the postie about it yesterday and he said that he was not delivering packages atm, maybe next week !! They are all useless twunts!

Sputnik · 18/12/2007 14:05

Oh was it crap? Good, cos I'll never get to see it anyway. Loved the books.

annobalthebignosereindeer · 18/12/2007 14:06

Haven't heard of it, Holly. We watched Zodiac last night, which was very good (haven't seen the end yet though).

annobalthebignosereindeer · 18/12/2007 14:10

But then again, I don't get out much

deckthehallswithboughsofholly · 18/12/2007 14:12

It was Northern Lights by Philip Pullman made into a film. Apparently the 2 words Northern Lights are too difficult for the Americans to grasp, so they called it The Golden Compass!

Parts of it were good. Lee Scorsby was excellent and I loved Iorek and the daemons. Nicole Kidman was a good Mrs Coulter. Lyra was crap and so was Daniel Craig as Lord Asriel. He wasn't imposing enough.

They chopped up the story so much that it barely made sense and a lot of the issues in the book are not dealt with at all in the film. It didn't even end the same.

It was very odd and I can't see how the next two films will follow on from it.

Sorry, waffling there!

deckthehallswithboughsofholly · 18/12/2007 14:14

Fuck fuckity fuck fuck fuck...I can't get a Tesco delivery date until the 27th. If I have to go to the supermarket I think I shall cry!

foxythesnowman · 18/12/2007 14:17

Holly, check out if any are doing night opening. Our Asda is opening from midnight 23rd/24th. Might not be everyone's idea of a good night out, but it appeals to me! Anywhere at anytime without children appeals to me though

annobalthebignosereindeer · 18/12/2007 14:21

Shopping without children? Wouldn't that be too easy??

FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 18/12/2007 14:26

Wow, what a chatty lot today. that everyone is still ill.

AIBU to be p'ed off at PILs. We told them months ago that DSs christening would be on 6th Jan and they said that was fine. DH then asked about alternative dates as his brother can't make 6th. We didn't find any so he sent another email reverting to the 6th. I emailed yesterday giving full details of timing, church, etc and Step-MIL has replied saying her and DH's Dad won't be able to make it as they've got to take 1/2-sister back to Uni that day, and "we thought it had been delayed until later in the year". I'm really annoyed especially as there's no reason they couldn't take 1/2 sister back on the 5th, or that stepMIL couldn't do it on her own. DH's Dad is always shit like this and it really upsets DH. Sorry it probably is unreasonable of me to be so annoyed, but we're always expected to fit in with their plans and they always bugger ours up. It's put me in a right grump.
