DH looked after DD for an afternoon last week. She cried most of the time for him. I think it was partly just because I wasn't there. but I did point out that some days she will cry loads for me too!

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 18/12/2007 12:42

lol my DH thinks looking after the kids with me in the house at the same time is an achievement. Last Thursday when I was in bed, he went off Christmas shopping in the afternoon leaving me with DD. When I remarked that he was meant to be looking after the dcs for me so I could get some kip, he muttered about shopping and school pick up and making tea.......and his point was exactly?

phew....just picked up some parcels from the post office and finally got to the post office to get stamps for my Christmas cards....now all I have to do is write the bloody things! Usually I do a wee hand written note saying how we are all doing; this year I'm just writing from The Daisyboos.

Daisy, my dp has difficulty looking after the dcs whilst I have a bath. I always get dd escaping from him and coming in the bath with me!

Got your fb message. Glad you've got it sorted xx

annobalthebignosereindeer · 18/12/2007 13:21

Happy belated birthday Holly

I'm also waiting in for dhl today. Good thing we're too sick to go out. Actually dcs are fine, they've given whatever they had to me with bells on.

Whenever dh looks after dcs, ds3 seems to wake up and cry as soon as i leave the house. He usually puts up with it for a few hours though before i get the call home...

foxythesnowman · 18/12/2007 13:26

You'll probably have a bloody long wait Annobal

Afternoon all!

How are you lovely lot today then??

annobalthebignosereindeer · 18/12/2007 13:26

Ooh, I just got my ss. Thank you santa.

deckthehallswithboughsofholly · 18/12/2007 13:28

Hey foxy and annobal!

All good here, ds has just gone to sleep so instead of doing housework (yawn) I am going to sit at the pc and play!

Hope you are both well.

foxythesnowman · 18/12/2007 13:31

Sounds like a plan Holly!

annobalthebignosereindeer · 18/12/2007 13:32

I'm definitely . Waiting for DH to come home so I can go to bed.

Sputnik · 18/12/2007 13:32

Same here. It's fine until the baby starts crying, then it's my responsability

foxythesnowman · 18/12/2007 13:33

Why doesn't my baby sleep?

foxythesnowman · 18/12/2007 13:35

Yep, whingey children are NEVER DP's department. Even when he wakes the baby coming to bed, he just gets up and finds somewhere else to sleep, leaving me to it.

annobalthebignosereindeer · 18/12/2007 13:35

Hi Holly, how was your birthday?

I am a bad mother - DS3 in bed so I've put a dvd on for DCs in the playroom so I can have some peace.

foxythesnowman · 18/12/2007 13:36

Umm, bad mother? Why, what is it they are watching? And have you supplied sausage rolls and fruit shoots?

Sputnik · 18/12/2007 13:37

Got a sleeping baby here too, yay.

Spent all morning driving about to pick up Baby Sputnik's passport, now I have 20 minutes free before nursery pick up. It's looking good for a hot cup of tea

annobalthebignosereindeer · 18/12/2007 13:37

Fruit shoots, god no, Foxy - that would make them hyper, can't be dealing with hyper dcs today

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 18/12/2007 13:37

.....and if DH tells me these nappies have "got the tabs on backwards" once more, I'm going to take the aforementioned nappy and shove it down his bloody throat

oooh I do love a spot of DH bashing.

I picked up a parcel for him today which is obviously a pressie for me, so I'll be kind to him

gaaaaah, DD not settling either and getting fed up with things that she can't quite reach!

deckthehallswithboughsofholly · 18/12/2007 13:38

My baby's very good at sleeping a couple of times during the day, but that's because he is completely hectic when he is awake!

I think I might lie down with him and snooze whilst dd watches spongebob! I can feel the waves of tiredness washing over me now that I have sat down!

annobalthebignosereindeer · 18/12/2007 13:40

Sounds nice Sputnik - i would also put the kettle on but it would involve getting off the couch.

I'm in the process of getting DS3's oz passport and I need a oz citizen to witness and sign. I just realised that i don't know any Australians living in UK anymore

deckthehallswithboughsofholly · 18/12/2007 13:41

My dp cannot work out cloth nappies! He keeps asking me to buy disposables...I keep telling him to fuck off! I think he is not understanding them on purpose!

Sputnik · 18/12/2007 13:42

Hi Annobal, agree with Foxy, you're not a bad mother (cos if you were then so would I be ).

I seem to be getting DC's colds, but only mildly. I've sort of put it down to BF, anyone else find that? If so then it is only deserved payback for when I was pg and my immune system was basically non existant.

foxythesnowman · 18/12/2007 13:43

I can help there Annobal if you get stuck.

WewishyouaBUMPERLICIOUS · 18/12/2007 13:43

well we are all in good health aren't we

I'm pretty spaced out actually from about 6 hours sleep in 48 hours!

DD has just gone down for a nap and I should be getting on with stuff like wrapping prezzies or hoovering or something but instead I am just starring eyes glazed over at the TV and computer.

You all are doing lots of couriering...what sort of black market services are you running

annobalthebignosereindeer · 18/12/2007 13:44

Dps have a way of doing that I think Holly. Would love to go down the track of reusables again but just seems a bit hard at the moment...

deckthehallswithboughsofholly · 18/12/2007 13:46

I have been quite lucky this time with bfing and colds sputnik. With dd I was exhausted and ill all the time. I used to get tonsilitis about once a month, this time I've only had it twice in 6 months (very good for me). I definately put it down to bfing and the energy it takes out of you.

My birthday was lovely thanks annobal. Shame the film we went to see was a bit shit!
