I am trying hard here. Have cooked myself spag bol for tea and am now eating it. Went to market and got fruit and potatoes. Will be doing everything I can to help Joe get better

jingleoooggs · 05/12/2007 20:52

yes ellie really try to eat well, especially cos of bfing. I know that is your downfall, you have said before you aren't keen on green stuff I eat crap when dh on back shift if I eat anything

keep up the good work and look after yourself

Sexmasonlegs · 05/12/2007 20:54

Sounds yummy Ellie. Good on ya girl.

Leaky, fingers crossed with the flat viewing.

Have got our christmas do tomorrow night, so need to do a bit of pampering - ie nails! Back tomorrow. xx

DippyChristmas · 05/12/2007 20:55

YOU ARE NOT A FAILURE!!!!! - Bloody hell woman you are bringing up two very young boys single-handedly and doing a fantastic job from what I have seen - As has already been said - Your boys are a credit to you - Matthew is one of the most loving, kind, polite, gorgeous little men I have ever come across - I liked him and I don't do boys (as you well know ) As for Joe - he's a lovely baby - contented, happy and completely scrummy! Phoebe sends him biggets slobbers and wriggly kisses. xxxxxx Think you should definitely push to get him seen before Christmas - even if it means an A&E referral. xxxxx

How's everyone doing this pm - I am knackered. Job interview tomorrow morning - eeeeek!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 05/12/2007 21:07

have you seen the babybook thing on facebook? Joe and Lesley's G are now friends
get P on there!

DippyChristmas · 05/12/2007 21:12

I've been trying, but the application doesn't seem to like my rubbish crapsville excuse for a computer How are you right this minute, beautiful?? xx

PillockOfTheCommunity · 05/12/2007 21:21

I am feeling sick. Have been whenever I eat but not actually been sick.

Am also feeling . You are all so loevly to me but doesn't take away the lonelyness and feeling that I can't give them everything they need

DippyChristmas · 05/12/2007 22:51

Off to bed now, but thinking of you and praying for you, E. What makes you think you can't give them everything they need!!!!? I think you will find you already are! You have a home, a job, some food in the cupboard, clothes to wear and, more than anything, you LOVE them - that is what truly matters. xxxxx

....but we've got chocolate .... Mwah Ha Ha Ha!

Night all. xx

NorthernLurkerwithastarontop · 06/12/2007 00:03

evening, just popping in before bed:

Leaky - I will share the things to do with mincemeat tomorrow - v yummy!

Dippy - all the best for the interview - remember your deep breathing - like labour but without having an anxious dh flapping everywhere!

Ellie - seeing the hv to enusre the referral moves fast is a good idea - I think it will anyway - my experience (work in hospital admin) would suggest that babies do get seen asap - doesn't mean anything scary - just that their smallness moves them up the queue! But - we've only got 2 clinic weeks now before Christmas - and it might be pushing it. I will pray for an early appt though.
I pretty sure you are feeling sick because you are anxious - maybe some deep breathing for you too

Take care everyone - remember - we are our children's most precious possession

DippyChristmas · 06/12/2007 07:59

Morning! Off to interview now ..... eeeeeeeeeeek!! xx

Sexmasonlegs · 06/12/2007 08:14

Morning all.

Ellie, how is Joe today?

Dippy, good luck with the interview. What job is it for?

Need to run. x

RudolphtherEDDASnosedreindeer · 06/12/2007 08:15

Good luck dippy

Ellie, what everyone else said You do a great job, M is indeed a lovely little man and you should feel very proud of what you have done, J is gorgeous too It's very hard not to feel you have done something wrong, but hopefully J will either start getting better soon by himself or the doctors will be able to explain what is wrong. I'm sure it's nothing you have done. Tyr to stop blaming yourself. I really admire the way you cope on your own. I know i'd be a mess. Keep strong. Whenever you feel yourself getting low go and give the boys a cuddle

I ordered my carseats last night, finding them in stock to be delivered was a pita but I got there in the end. Had to change the one I wanted for dd but the review of the one I got was great too this is dds and this is ds' although they didn't cost that much they were £218 altogether fingers crossed I get the cash back asap

Anyway I ave more pressing things to worry about today, I'm going to see TAKE THAT

iloveabargain · 06/12/2007 10:14

Had phone call ysterday afternoon asking if I would like to see the physio Thursday about possible SPD! (NHS is fab here) So went to appt this morning and saw the same physio as last time. She has given me different exercises to do, and she thinks that it is prob because I am still bf - the hormones are giving my pelvic muscles a bit of trouble Left feeling rather positive about things, and am not in any pain today either

She also told me not to do any exercising, maybe a bit of pilates to strengthen things.

Have a good day all
x

jingleoooggs · 06/12/2007 11:47

hope you are all ok today ellie, and love to joe! x

normabutty · 06/12/2007 13:31

ILAB - glad you got to see the physio quickly.

CD - good luck with interview.

Have fun at Take That Eddas!

Good luck for your flat viewing Leaky, fingers crossed they want it.

Eek, I've booked a refresher driving lesson for Saturday (planning to do more than one!) so I can get out and about a bit more...but rather terrified. (Leaky & Pinions, you may want to stay off the roads on Saturday )

DippyChristmas · 06/12/2007 13:37

Just got back. Feeling very demoralised. I just want a job. Is it so much to ask!? I'll find out whether I got it or not some time tomorrow. My guesses are 100% on not.

NorthernLurkerwithastarontop · 06/12/2007 14:00

oh Dippy - it's not over till it's over - anything in particular lead you to think it didn't go great?

DippyChristmas · 06/12/2007 14:26

There were soooo many other applicants and six of us being interviewed. They were all heaps older than me and heaps more experienced. We had to do this Aptitude Test and I couldn't answer any of the maths Q's at all I am so stupid. In the interview they kept asking me about my "current job" - did they not read my application form!!!!!!? I just didn't know what to say - I felt like such an idiot - I didn't ask any Q's at the end of the interview as I was so tongue-tied. I just know I made a really bad impression. I just went to Uni, came out of uni and had children. I have nothing to offer anyone.

normabutty · 06/12/2007 15:48

Oh dippy, that you sound so down. Fingers crossed that you get the job. You're not useless and you have lots to offer. You're raising 3 children, you've had a part-time job. Those all show commitment, time management, organisation. Then there's all the nct and church stuff you do. You're clearly a lovely friendly person. Being a contact for the nct shows you're approachable and have good communication skills. You have so many qualities. {{{{{hugs}}}}}

DippyChristmas · 06/12/2007 15:59

Thank you NB - I know all these things; but I just feel so stupid when I actually get into an interview situation and start saying them out loud, iykwim!!? Big fat failure with a capital F

NorthernLurkerwithastarontop · 06/12/2007 16:12

Right - sorry had to dash off and do school run/laundry things. Ok - with so many applicants it is great that you got an interview! Well done - obviously you ticked all the right boxes there. Regarding them asking you about your current job - that is bad interviewer technique - I interview as part of my job (seems a long time ago now though) - it's so important that you read the form and glance through it again so you know where to pitch the questions. I still say it's not over till it's over - but if you haven't been successful this time then for the next one - because there will be a next one - if you like I can dredge my memory for the sort of questions I ask and we could do a telephone practice interview? You are so not a failure - think like a spy - we just need to work on your legend a bit

AngeGabriel · 06/12/2007 17:01

Hello all

Sorry haven't had time to catch up, but have just had a text from POTC/Ellie

"On way to hosptial. Joe worse, kept nothing down and eaten not much. Not had milk since 8am, crying in pain and cough back badly. HV rang so told her, we decided to wait til doc tomorrow, then she rang back and said get him seen now. Doc can't do blood tests etc so am going to A&E."

Thinking of tham all and praying the Docs and A&E will do what is necessary to find out what is wrong.

Back later xx

DippyChristmas · 06/12/2007 17:03

Thanks sweetie - practice interview owuld be good actually I thought the guy's interview technique was rubbish tbh = he read the Q's off the piece of paper and they weren't based on my application form at all - they didn't een give me a chance tbh

AngeGabriel · 06/12/2007 17:06

Dippy - Sorry to hear you felt your interview didn't go well. You really are not a failure. Interviews are very difficult situations, NL idea of a practice telephone interview sounds like a great one. Thinking of you.

I forgot Ellie also said could we let Daisymoo and snowmuchtobits know about hospital if they are around. I won't be on for much of this evening so if someone sees them could they let them know please.
