good morning wow it was quiet on here last night hope everyone had a good night

Erin went to bed at 11pm afetr being drugged and slept til 6.20am. Jack slept 7.45pm - 6.20am so would have been as goodish night but James was up twice. They all have colds and a cough. Not good 3 sick children.

SharpMolarBear · 26/10/2007 07:51

Hi everyone
I like the new MN, I'm on Workplace muted
I loved the 80s thing as well, I forgot I used to have one of those toys that smelt like strawberries, urgh

mammyjo · 26/10/2007 08:23

Morning SMB I had those strawberry shortcake toys too!! If I caught a whiff of them now, would imagine they would be vile. Loved them at the time though!

Oooggs, glad your night wasnt too bad in the end. F decided to wake for a feed despite having slept through for the last week and ds will not be going to school again today. He has been up half the night coughing and complaining of a sore throat. He has a high temp this morning too so thats that! At least he cant fib to me about his temp so I know he is poorly!!

geordiemacmummy · 26/10/2007 08:34

Morning ladies;

Another crap night here, perhaps if I type it out someone might be able to tell me if there is something I'm doing wrong.

C has 3 meals + 4 feeds a day now,

5pm tea
7pm milk 9oz
11pm 5oz (just started waing hi8m for this feed)
3am awake - 4oz, still awake, took downstairs, 3oz too wriggley for anymore fell asleep at 5
5.30am awake again, bf to sleep
7.30 awake

Is there an obvious error or is this just one of those grin and bear "growth spurts"?

Thanks ladies

NorthernLurker · 26/10/2007 08:41

GMM - B did something very close to that pattern last night and has done quite a lot recently. It was so much better than the previous night where she coughed for an hour and would only settle in bed with me that I think of it as a 'good' night and feel positively bouncy this morning
So - no I don't think you are doing anything wrong - 'cos if you are so am I! And if I am I've no idea what

Frankendooby · 26/10/2007 08:45

SING IT....It's very dark and winters to blame...I hope it ain't gonna raiyain.Morning all I cannot get the flumping tune out of my head.and i have to confess i do sometimes sing the fresh prince one alsoM has just woken up..they have radar...mum is sitting down therefore i must wake and keep her company!Hope you all have a good day

Frankendooby · 26/10/2007 08:48

GMM...mY DS1 WAS LIKE THAT....Looks ok to me.Mebbe it is a growth spurt?M has days where he is like it too[and nights]He is being a whinge bum at the mo...last few days actually.

SharpMolarBear · 26/10/2007 09:06

oh gmm your night sounds awful

mammyjo · 26/10/2007 09:25

GMM, do you have to wake him for the 11pm feed? We were doing that with F at about 10pm as she was always fast asleep. Anyway, one night we decided to leave her and see what she did, and she slept through til 6am! Not saying that it will work the same for you, but I think it was more disruptive than helpful, for F at least. That is all I can think of as your list looks fine. Crossing my fingers that he will sleep better tonight xxx

Morning NL and Frank

oooggs · 26/10/2007 09:27

gmm - that was exactly what Erin did the night before last. Blame her for Charlies behaviour no idea what to do and how sick am I of people in rl saying 'it will get better' I know that but it doesn't help us now

Look April babies (a few before and a few after) mummies and daddies are much nicer people and do better things with you if you let us get some sleep

oooggs · 26/10/2007 09:33

true about not waking for the 11pm feed and if you feel you have to do that feed have you tried dream feeding? instead of waking.

Mine are 7 mths on Monday, on 3 full meals a day and sometimes a snack, full bottles am & pm so WTF aren't they sleeping through (without Calpol night)???????

I know every baby is different and James was 12 mths so I thought dts would be different & sleep through

SharpMolarBear · 26/10/2007 09:44

well i had a much better night, only one feed. I was promised a baby who slept through from 4 months, where do i get my money back??

Frankendooby · 26/10/2007 10:09

Gmm didn't mean situation sounds ok...meant that C seems to be getting loads of grub etc and i can't see anything obvious that could help.I can,t sem to do anything with 2 hands anymore...and M keps pulling my hair which HURTS.Hopeyou all have a good day

CaptainDippy · 26/10/2007 10:20

SharpMolarBear · 26/10/2007 10:23

CaptainDippy · 26/10/2007 10:25
bigwhitepolarbear · 26/10/2007 10:35

ok it's really nnnb in disguise.

Just want to say I'm taking a break for a while. It's not because of anything anyone has said or done. I just need a break for a while away from MN. It would be really nice if someone could keep me up to date with any big news by email or on Facebook. Might see some of you on msn too . I'll be at the xmas party too, if any of you decide you can make it (obv I know KHIN is coming with me!)

Thanks for all your support and advice. Especially Ange, you've been such a help over the past few months.

Liath I'll still join in the secret santa if that's ok.

elkiedee · 26/10/2007 10:37

Morning all, sorry I can't advise on getting a baby to sleep through the night, I think it was luck that D slept through the night for a while and that he did last night - it's happened less often than not since we came back from holiday.

The cat's been sick all over the place at a point when D was in pre-nap tired grizzle mode and kept crying when I put him down to clean up after her. Sigh. But he has finally dozed off and I'll give him a feed as soon as he wakes up.

It looks like I'm facing a day in, if my dad's coming round I'm not going to get into Camden and back quickly enough for that. Then this weekend I have to coerce both dp and myself into putting some time into housework so things look less scuzzy when my mum arrives. I really don't want her spending the time when she's here on maintenance housework, I want it to be either getting things done properly or just spending some time together socially.

Sorry if this is all about me, I'm just feeling bored and mopey again today.

elkiedee · 26/10/2007 10:39

Take care nutty. If we need you will starting some really saucy discussion lure you back?

CaptainDippy · 26/10/2007 11:17

Knickers!

Is she back yet!!!!?

Will keep you up-to-date, love. xx

Glad D is dozing now, hope he is a good little boy today and gives his mummy some space to do housework and put her feet up a little too.

I am off to the woods today!! Friend and I (and our 5 children, of course ) are heading to the woods for much puddle splashing, tea drinking, biscuit munching, crispy leaf tramping ..... best wrap up warm .... bloomin' freeeeeeeezing here atm. Brrrr! (That's a cold emoticon btw! )

NorthernLurker · 26/10/2007 11:21

packed for weekend away - see you monday

elkiedee · 26/10/2007 11:29

NL, weekend away where?

geordiemacmummy · 26/10/2007 11:30

Thanks guys - the 11pm is kinda dream feed, but I only introduced that as he was waking at 3, little monster is still waking at 3 so I might drop it tonight and see how it goes... failing that medised....

Have a lovely day dippy - it sounds fab!!

Nothing much exciting going on here - going to meet dp for lunch, thats about it really. Pleased its friday although the forecast for the weekend looks dire.

CaptainDippy · 26/10/2007 11:32

I rather like the chilly winter days - makes me feel all cozy and excited about Christmas!

Have a fab w/e away, NL!
