Hiya all, been away a while I know but Cameron's really decied to check out this "terrible 2" scenario thing....and I've been struggling to keep my temper - so have been finding the positive attention concept really working for us both. T's such a doll although she doesn't really help the whole discipline situation by finding whatever Cameron's doing that's naughty (say hitting mummy, refusing to saty on naughty step) immensely funny, to the point of giggles which C takes as being vindication that he's actually right.

Right - must just wander off to find out about the Basingstoke meet-up as am feeling guilty about having been 'away' so long...

Sexonlegs · 22/10/2007 21:04

Nutty, how is Erin now. It is so frustrating isn't it when you have done all you can. Can you bear to do controlled crying?

Maveta, hope N settles for you. Sounds awful. Hope the trip to London goes well for you.

MJ- enjoy the bra-buying!

Hi Elkie and SMB!

elkiedee · 22/10/2007 21:05

Good luck with the London trip Maveta.

Sexonlegs · 22/10/2007 21:08

Hi WaspElly, great to see you. Sorry C is giving you a hard time atm. ikwym about being laughed at. B is constantly acting the fool, and K chortles like a good 'un, and B is encouraged by that and carries on! K also seems to find great humour when others are crying. It is really embarrasing!

WaspElly · 22/10/2007 21:10

SOL - point me to the meet up details, I can't fiiiiind it?? (whiny voice)

leakyR · 22/10/2007 21:14

Nutty hoping your silence means Erin has settled and dh has come home to feed you.

Nice to see you WaspElly.

Sexonlegs · 22/10/2007 21:14

We are meeting from 10.30 at The Anvil Theatre in Basingstoke. It is dead easy to find, and c 5 mins from the train station. The date is Friday 23rd November.
Hope you can make it.

BWI, that email is hilarious. Pmsl.

Btw, I am probably going to drive to Basingstoke rather than train it. There is a car park specifically for The Anvil which is huge and a lift that takes you down to the theatre. I just can't be arsed with faffing with the train, esp if peeing with rain or freezing cold.

WaspElly · 22/10/2007 21:27

hmm will think about logistics as I've family in Basingstoke I could do with seeing too. May even bring C with me, you never know...
Goody another meet up!

busywithIzzy · 22/10/2007 21:40

Evening all,

It's taken me all day to catch up on thread and can now remember very little.

So glad to hear Eva is home that picture of her so soooo cute.

Pesha - How is D now? How is he getting on with the gaviscon?

Mammyjo - I too was also crying at your post. You have done a fantastic job, don't feel bad.

Waspelly - Good to see you back, would be great to see you at the meet up.

Oooggs - Pics of Izzy's pink bedroom on my profile....I hope?!

Izzy has cut her bottom two teeth in the last few days, now need to teach her not to pull off my nipple while still clamped on to look round the room cos it bloody hurts.

nappynuttynormabutty · 22/10/2007 23:56

Right I've finished my cup of tea and am off to bed.

BWI - lovely pics of Izzy's room, love the heart curtains. Thanks for helping earlier too .

For anyone who's interested, i phoned dh at 8.50 to find out where he was. He was at work, didn't know when he'd be back. 10 mins later he turns up at house...they said I could get food but I have to go back (he knows I'm tying to eat plenty of veg and stuff at the moment) so I ask why didn't he ring me and I could have put the oven on. "Err the phone was off the hook" (Yes, the phone is off the hook cos that's the only way the internet would work because you have yet to sort it out and I do have a mobile you could have rung or texted). Cue him saying "well you could have checked the message i left on the phone" (me - again...it would have killed my internet connection and I did also have a screaming baby to look after). Cue him saying he'd buy me pizza hut pizza (which he 1 can't afford and 2 will have to go and collect leaving me with screaming baby again and 3 is unhealthy for me and makes me feel crap) so I told him to piss off. He went out and Erin finally settled. Then he came back in and woke her up so I told him again to piss off. So he went...and I stood in the kitchen and cried. Then she fell asleep so I made some food. I started eating it and she woke again. So I got no food. Then she settled a little so I washed up, got bottles ready. Then she woke and started crying. With help from Ange finally got her settled about 30 mins ago. Have taken bins out and finished washing up and had a cup of tea. Now off to bed and have texted dh to say DON'T WAKE THE BABY WHEN YOU GET IN.

ok have only strated reading on cods thread link but what? and what is MorticiasMother post about?

Anyway off to read rest of the thread

Also, wanted to say sorry to Leaky for my rather pesamistic(sp?) post about house moving. I was very tired and peed off yesterday so please ignore me being all doom and gloom

leakyR · 23/10/2007 07:27

A night of little sleep for you POTC?

NNNB I hope things arre better today with dh and Erin is more settled. However frazzled you feel a crying baby can magnify it x100.

There's hope for us to still be here in 2009 if April 2005 mums were active yesterday

leakyR · 23/10/2007 07:29

X -post Eddas. I thought you were just being cautious

Eddas · 23/10/2007 07:37

glad you took it that way as it was the way it was meant but i am quite doom and gloom atm for some reason so just wanted to apologise incase it came across funny IYSWIM.

I am really hacked off with being tired, as i know a lot of you are too. It's a nightmare, and DS sleeps pretty well. Last night was a PITA at around 4 and I worked out it was because he hadn't had his whole bottle before bed, so I gave him asnother and settle back down, but was squirmy IYKWIM.

Off to soft play with a friend today. Should be interesting with it being half term oh well. Am hoping to tire out dd.

DH has stock take this week so will be home an hour later than usual every night then god knows what time fri night and sat. GREAT. So bascially no help for anything dc wise for the entire week and he will get a lay in on sunday, Again. It's not his fault but TBH I really could use help especially with it being half term when dd is bored ridgid

Has anyone else always got a mountain of thing to do but never does any beacuse of dc's not allowing it during the day and being too knackered at night? I'm so pissed off never getting anything done.

Can you tell i'm tired again?

Sorry for self absorbed whingy post

liath · 23/10/2007 07:54

Am with you with that mountain, Eddas. Have lists of things to do but am too tired even to watch the DVD I've rented off Amazon - was asleep at 8.30 last night. Have a good time at soft play, hope not too many school-age kids there.

Mammyjo, you've done so well, have a big hug.

Am trying to express a stash of milk for going back to work next week. It's only one day a week but still feels quite a big deal. My brain is porridge.......

SharpMolarBear · 23/10/2007 08:31

morning

CaptainDippy · 23/10/2007 08:35

Oh my giddy goodness! P still sleeping (woke at 6am, fed, back to bed) so popping in here - no time to catch up - I wasn't able to log on at all yesterday, out all day and then shattered in the evening and went to bed early ......

All our concrete is now in a skip in our driveway - yippee!! Our garden is conrete-free! Mum is going great guns digging up the lawn and is now cleaning all of our windows!!!!!! What a star!

Did anything earth-shatteringly exciting happen while I was away yesterday!!!?

SharpMolarBear · 23/10/2007 08:40

Morning Dippy
No, don't think so but my brain's not working very well!

Sexonlegs · 23/10/2007 08:51

Morning all.

Nutty, hope Erin stayed settled for you.

CD, your days are always manic!!

Eddas, ikewym. Half term here, and trying to entertain B and keep K happy is hard work. Dh is getting home at a reasonable time (6.30) but hasn't done anything in the house to help. No washing up, didn't feed the cats, didn't clear up after he made himself sandwiches, and didn't even bother opening the curtains downstairs.

In fact, he went off to work and didn't even say goodbye to me!

I feel lke I am running a frigging hotel tbh!

Going to a friends for lunch today so that will be one less meal to sort out! Fortuntely B's swimming carries on in the holidays as well!!

CaptainDippy · 23/10/2007 08:52

HI SMB and SOL!!
