Oh crappy life. Just typed a huge thing, and it came up as server error
Cant be bothered. So I'll ignore you all except csws.... are you still coming sun even if there's no Jas-attraction?! I'm racking my brains for a run-riot food place. Place up the road looks like it has a big play area, but not sure if its actually opened yet, so me and dh are going to check it out before collecting ds2 from nursery today. Its the place that I htought was going to be a lunchtime lap dancing place because of the name, but appears to be a bona fide cafe with a kids bit! Other than that, lots of nice eaty places, but none I can think of with a bit for kids on the loose...

The bras fit at me going up another cup size though!!! Well, the R&P ones are slightly too big, not that anyone but me would notice but thinking they will be perfect for early pregnancy. The other 2 fit like a dream! I bet the post office guy thought I was a mad woman getting so excited over the parcel, I was dying to tell him the parcel contained R&P bras Thank you thank you CSWS!!!!

mustsparkleandburnmore · 08/11/2007 16:28

Sorry Flame, love you really. But as you still havent given me sis's address for the dvd, what do you expect?!

Csws, we checked out that place.
Mediocre coffee.
Not very nice croissants.
Nice butties and salads.
They dont do frappes, olny iced drinks and smoothies.

Fantastic play area for the babies!

You can only go in there if you have a loyalty card, minimum top up £10 to start but we'd prob spend that anyway between us, so its ok. Sofas for us. Playhouse/buggies/cars/toys for the kids. And no escape routes for ds2 as I far as I could see!

I guess the downside is that if you were there alone, you'd have to leave thekids unattended to get another drink, or haul them away from the toys, as its actually a seperate room.

Frizbe · 08/11/2007 16:39

sorry flame all hell broke loose, just calming down now dh may be able to pack up the day job soon at this rate will try and find you a link somewhere! prob tomorrow now though if thats ok?

Jas · 08/11/2007 17:18

Sounds like things are going well then Frizbe.

As usual Ihave forgotten wnat Iwas going to say

I'm starting to feel anxious aboout ds' language (or lack of...) Is it because he is an individual and they all do it at their on pace, because he is a boy and he expects everyone to read his mind, or should I be worried?

He says no, mum and Jammy (DD1), but when he got into a small fight wth an 18 month old at toddler group this morning, she ended up looking contrite and saying sorry. DS gave a Paddington stare and walked off.

On a brighter note, a freind of mine gave me loads of playmobil yesterday (her youngest ds being10 now)

Flame · 08/11/2007 17:25

Nah, he's fiiiiiiiiiiine

@ no frappes - what kind of a place are you taking CSWS to?

Yay for being busy Friz It would be Christmas so I can wait a day

mustsparkleandburnmore · 08/11/2007 17:31

Oh God Jas, dont let ds1 know you've got playmobil; he's even more obsessed than polly pocket

And why are you worrying about Boy, when you've been telling me not to worry about ds2?

mustsparkleandburnmore · 08/11/2007 17:36

Oh, and since the man came to fix the bolier today (awaiting part on Monday), we now have no heating or hot water at all Before, we had to have both and once, and only on the main switch, but it was better than sitting here freezing.

Jas · 08/11/2007 18:41

I haven't even told the dds about the playmobil. I think I will wrap it up and give it to him for his birthday. There is a huge castle with knights and horses among other things.

No heating. Did he really need to leave you with nothing?

I'm allowed to worry - it is my job Most of the time I know he's fine, but then I come across all these girls with their advanced language skills making me anxious.

I think I'm guilty of babying him still. I haven't even tried to make him say sorry/give a cuddle/look guilty when he is bad

mustsparkleandburnmore · 08/11/2007 18:43

Those castles are worth a fortune you know

Gasman apparently coming back tomorrow between 8 and 12 to put it back to how it was(still cant fix the problem till Monday~)

Flame · 08/11/2007 19:20

Sounds like when they came to fix our boiler when we had no hot water...

"So you've got no heating or hot water until we come back"

"Erm, we had heating, it was just the water that was the problem"

"Now you have no heating OR hot water "

I am a bit half hearted with the apologising thing too tbh.

Jas · 08/11/2007 20:04

I did tell her she should sell it so my conscience is clear

Glad I'm not alone with the half hearted apologising. It is so long ago I haven't a clue when the dds did what. I do know dd1 was speaking way before this, and dd2 went straight to sentences, but no idea when.

UniS · 08/11/2007 20:42

Don;t think many kids the age of ours undestand apology. Some have been drilled to say sorry when they hit someone or when told to.
Boy and another child at ryhme time today just screeched at each other with great joy. he had teh fidgets and didn;t want to sit on my knee and bounce and join in with actions, so wondered round plonking down with other families for a minute or so at a time.
Thread tittle- "Chatterboxes" ?
Flame- remind me which is YOUR online nappy emporium. I don't NEED any any more nappies... but.

Flame · 08/11/2007 20:43

MY nappy emporium is BumFluff Nappies

It is currently not advertising on MN what with the ad expiring today and me not noticing

Flame · 08/11/2007 21:00

this one Frizbe!!!

I'll try and get the new thread sorted in the morning.

UniS & EPPM can you tell me your stats again because I am lazy and don't want to search the thread

CantSleepWontSleep · 08/11/2007 21:17

We had a 'chatterboxes' thread already UniS! We've always been a chatty thread!

mrm - yes still happy to come without Jas. Dd still needs entertaining after all! Will put up with crap coffee for keeping dd entertained and having some adult company, as long as you're happy with it! Can I be suitably vague for the moment about what time we'll arrive though? Taking dd to fireworks on Sat night, so not sure what time she'll get to bed (not mega late, but prob a bit later than normal), and thus what time she'll get up. If I said that we wouldn't be earlier than 10 and wouldn't be later than 11:30 would that do?!

Yay for the bras [sort of] fitting. You're quite welcome.

Managed another gym visit today, as dh was prepared to entertain dd for a bit when she woke up. In fact she had a [much needed] long sleep, so only got up 10 mins before I got back! Burned four hundred and sixty something calories in an hour, and am actually quite enjoying it now . Shame that I will only get to go once next week, as dh in Mexico all week. Hopefully going Sat afternoon though, if we can squeeze it in in between school open day, eyebrow waxing/eyelash tinting, and bonfire night stuff.

Also liking the fact that I've actually managed to hear some modern music in the gym. Don't think I've heard any for months otherwise . Have now downloaded 5 of the top 6 according to the 'Hits' channel chart, and am listening to them repeatedly whilst I type. In fact dd was dancing excitedly to Valerie (Amy Winehouse) earlier too!

ChasingSquirrels · 08/11/2007 21:24

who was worrying about speach? T says "urrggh" and "uggrrrhhh" They will get there, unless you have other concerns (hearing, understanding) then it is early to be overly worried about it I think.

Flame · 08/11/2007 21:32

Urgh - get her the Zutons version!!!

What are the 5 songs then? (I dunno what is in the top whatever...)

CantSleepWontSleep · 08/11/2007 21:44

1 = Bleeding Love - Leona Lewis
2 = Rule the World - Take That
4 = Apologize - Timbaland and One Republic
5 = Valerie - Mark Ronson & Amy Winehouse
6 = About You Now - Sugababes

Number 3, that I didn't download, is Home by Westlife. Like it, but already have the Michael Buble version, and knowing me I'll end up with a Westlife album that has it on at some point anyway.

mustrunmore · 08/11/2007 21:46

I wouldnt know anything up to date either

Great csws! i'm seeing alot of you lately 10-11.30 isnt vague atall. i was expecting yo to sday somewhere between 10 and 3 as vague!!

Flame · 08/11/2007 21:49

I like the Take That one on that list....

Flame · 08/11/2007 21:50

Oh, and the sugababes one has grown on me oddly enough

CantSleepWontSleep · 08/11/2007 22:08

You are indeed mrm. We're taking pity on ds2 having no mates except dd and Leon!

See flame, you're obviously managing to keep up with the yoof scene better than us, as you actually know these songs.

CantSleepWontSleep · 08/11/2007 22:10

Can anyone tell me what the 'Scuttlebuggers' are please?
