I listen to local radio on the school run I would know fewer songs that the yoof listen to if I could get my cd player put in the car, but I don't know anyone who can do it, and I don't wanna pay halfords!

Scuttlebuggers is something to do with the word game thread branching off into chat. It was meant to be another word apparently, but was mistyped and then stuck.

JoFan · 08/11/2007 22:25

would it be OK for me to join your lovely group also?

my DS was born 13.2.06

have just skimmed the thread and it's fascinating to be able to compare progress with LOs the same age. I didn't 'hook up' with other mummies at an antenatal group as DS is second born so didn't attend, although i do have some great friends with LOs the same age as DD (5.9)

i live in the south of england

who collects the subs?

EachPeachPearMum · 08/11/2007 22:26

the scuttlers is just a chat thread- mostly inane, very friendly, nice people, though have had a couple of flouncers recently LOL (well, not really, but...)

What are my stats?????

re cute babies- I think she's gorgeous, well, I certainly am biased, and of course I did pick her best pictures....

Friz- "I'm waiting for a huge comic/graphic novel order and another games delivery, dum de dum.." oooh- it sounds like they're all yours, you lucky thing!

(are you allowed to read the stock???)

Flame · 08/11/2007 22:26

Oooh oooh ooh - where in the south?!!?

EachPeachPearMum · 08/11/2007 22:30

mrm- so [blue] for the heating situation- this happened to us 12 months ago, I kept phoning them to hassle, and stressing that my precious little baby was teeny, and cold, and needed hot water G**Damnit!!!

well- dd didnt wake until 3.30 last night, but screamed if I left her room. tonight she screamed for me to stay again- but there were NO fireworks any more!

Will have to do all our sleep training thing again

CantSleepWontSleep · 08/11/2007 22:35

Welcome JoFan. Hope you have lots of time free if you are joining us?!

Your stats, EPPM, are what goes on the first post of each of our threads.

Do you remember last Christmas mrm, when we ran out of oil just when everyone had stopped delivering, and thus had no hot water, no heating, and no hob to cook on? At least you will have it restored tomorrow, and can snuggle up to dh (or a hot water bottle) to keep warm tonight .

Flame · 08/11/2007 22:36

Ooh yes, I'd forgotten that. It was just as the cold started for me when I ended up living at my mum's for the week due to the lack of heating and the teeny baby

Flame · 08/11/2007 22:37

EPPM, on the bright side she is staying in her cot and screaming Mine is following me down the bloody stairs!

Phoenix · 08/11/2007 22:44

Evening

I've read but forgot most

csws - i've got all those songs on my ipod. I've always listened to local radio then while we were in Cornwall i got right into Radio 1 (cos it's all we could get there) so listen to that all the time now so i'm pretty up to date with all the new stuff for a change

for heating and water

Yay for bra's

Welcome JoFan

Hello CS

Jas - Don't worry about Boy, Lew doesn't talk either.

Friz - Glad the shop's going so well

Hello to everyone else

JoFan · 08/11/2007 22:44

JoFan · 08/11/2007 22:46

Flame · 08/11/2007 22:47

Frizbe · 08/11/2007 22:47

Hello, I'm back, got that flame will get it ordered on next weeks batch for you! should be in by next thurs, will mail ya

EPPM I don't get chance to read them much, or at least not today, been rather buys which is good as dh is handing in his notice says he'll work for the stuff they have already got in, then he's had enough I hope we can afford to cover ourselves....we should just be able to manage it as things are going at the moment.....will be making the re listing of internet sales a priority next week!

Hi Jofan, wonder who you're near

MRM for no heating, and its forecast to get so cold tonight.....

So are we all out of the way of the storm surge then? I think we are non?

Frizbe · 08/11/2007 22:49

Oh! you've already typed it! lol I'm on go slow tonight.....you're very close to Flame wonder if we can do a meet next summer when I'm down on my jollies

EachPeachPearMum · 08/11/2007 22:50

Oh Flame! yes- I peeked at the other thread. Bearing in mind that mine couldn't crawl or pull herself up until almost 16 months, it may be a while till she makes it out of her Huuuuge cotbed LOL!
Yes, at least I know where she is!

JoFan- welcome!

CSWS- Astrid born 04/02/06, DC1.

Flame · 08/11/2007 22:51

You star!!! All excited, normally just let him chose presents for Christmas, but this year I have oodles of ideas and we are doing a surprise thing. Just tell me how to pay ya.

Hope everything goes ok with DH and work

JoFan · 08/11/2007 22:52

ooh ooh used to live in bournemouth and went to college there

thanks for the welcome

was worried you might bite, but you're all very friendly and welcoming!!

Flame · 08/11/2007 22:52

Ooh I like the name Astrid

JoFan - if you have details that you want added to the new thread (like the first post in this one), then tell me by the morning

Flame · 08/11/2007 22:53

How old are you? Where did you grow up (local or moved for college iyswim)?

Frizbe · 08/11/2007 22:54

ok will mail ya tomorrow! as all prices at work!
Ah yess, re dh, it'll work out, even if I end up temping instead sure Jas knows where I'm coming from! men eh, can't work by themselves, can't work for others well either It'll be fine, I'll just confine him to listing internet stuff and not bothering me or the customers

Flame · 08/11/2007 22:57

I am now picturing customers backing out of the shop as he gets a bit too passionate about something they happened to glance at

Must go to bed

Night all

JoFan · 08/11/2007 22:59

flame,

DS is called Oscar, born 13.2.06, six weeks prem

i'm 37, lived in parkstone, went to the arts institute, moved to country in '92 and loving it

have you always lived in bournemouth?

EachPeachPearMum · 08/11/2007 22:59

Flame- we chose it long before we decided to have children, or even to get married- its just a name we both loved. (we were together 10 yrs before marrying, 12 years before she came along...) We didn't really have a back-up name, or any boys names at all (we kept vetoing each others choices ) but she looked just like an Astrid when she came out, so we were really pleased!
She definitely has the colouring!

Frizbe · 08/11/2007 23:02

EPPM that's lovely

we squabbled over our dd's names, but got there in the end! very glad I managed to veto Scarlett still, neither of them fit the bill

Jofan, hate to tell you this, but you're one of the oldest mums on the thread hands up whose the oldest? I'm 33 as I do believe is CSWS.

JoFan · 08/11/2007 23:05

ha ha

really don't mind as i look just like angelina jolie (but without tats and brad pitt, obv)
