Balls

I just wrote a rant about dh/pil and then mn went down and i lost it.

CantSleepWontSleep · 29/10/2007 21:55

at dark hair. It was so blond!

My dh definitely as bad macca. We wouldn't have even had a row as it would have been pointless. If I need something to be done before bed then I have to do it myself.

That's 4 days naps in one go flame - definitely excessive!

Yay for still being with the new fella Kel (sorry didn't respond yesterday). Don't let him use up all of your MN time though .
No, there are no other pregnancies to report, and we're still waiting to hear how things are for dame (she had some bleeding).

Where on earth is Chloe?! She's been gone for ages. Is she suddenly going to reappear and announce that she's 12 weeks pregnant . Chloe, if you're reading, did the bras arrive ok, and did they fit?!

US - I am also inundated with apples and pears from the in-laws. Have no idea what I'm going to do with them all .

So, dh has asked tonight if I would be prepared to move to Memphis for 2 years . Think I sense a thread coming up...

FlameInHell · 29/10/2007 22:08

I didn't respond either - yay for new dude

@ non-blonde Boy!

lmao @ not wanting to see the landing at night

DS went down fine. He is even paler than usual today (translucent is probably a better word for it ), dark circles under his eyes. He seems happy enough though Yesterday he only tried to sleep at 2.45, and we had to leave at 3.15 to get to a party, I woke him to get him ready and he just sobbed He perked up at the party til he fell down the stairs (terrible neglectful mother...), then today he did the huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge sleep.

I got more free time than when he is at nursery!!!

Another one looking pointedly at a Chloe shaped hole... will go poke her

mustrunawaywithasexyvampire · 30/10/2007 07:23

Well, I replied last nihgt, but lost it al lsomehow and couldn5t be bothered to retype. spent ages sorting out ds1's pressies(have loads from Mum and Dad that they've left me to wrap aswell as our own) Also got the school application form through, so I'm having dilemmas. Think I'll start a thread, but no one will respond anyway. And dh is pissedd of becasue I spent al levenig doping those 2 things, after falling asleep 5.30-7pm Oh, and even finishing at 3.30pm, he still didnt get in till 5.15pm, so its bot as great as I thought it'd be. How I wish we could afford the tube!

damewashalot · 30/10/2007 07:25

Argh not been on for a while it's all different I can't drive the thread

Help!!!!!!!!

damewashalot · 30/10/2007 07:33

Fixed it, I don't like change

mustrunawaywithasexyvampire · 30/10/2007 07:45

Hello Dame; how you doing?

dull thread about my latest panic

FlameInHell · 30/10/2007 07:55

Replied.

I like the term "drive the thread"

mustrunawaywithasexyvampire · 30/10/2007 08:36

Sorry, csws; meant to add a and a for Memphis! How cool would that be??? Cant make use of your big extension then tohugh...

Flame, can we come and live with you? What's dd's school like??!!

damewashalot · 30/10/2007 09:53

Hello, kind of gone into hibernation for a bit.

Had 2 scans a week apart both showing heartbeat which surprised me as second one was expecting to confirm miscarriage due to lots of bleeding everyday. So, waiting to see if bleeding stops or gets worse, can't be happy or excited or anything really.

Will prob lurk a bit but might not be on much until I have a bit more of an idea what's happening.

Sorry haven't read so no idea what is going on in peoples lives.

Phoenix · 30/10/2007 10:04

Dame. Good news

FlameInHell · 30/10/2007 13:01

Yay Dame

Missed Memphis!!!!!

MRM - DD's school is nice , as are some of the other local ones, come live here

Frizombie · 30/10/2007 14:12

Xmas Smile yay Dame, its a girl I reckon and all will be well Xmas Smile

MRM I too am having dilemas, except I don't want dd to go to the CofE and we're in the catchment! lol, filled out an online application last night and have attempted to get into the school of my choice, mainly by saying I think they're wonderful and my dd does french with their teacher already at nursery, so continuity eh! will see what happens....Xmas Hmm

Phoenix {{{{{Hugs}}}}}} for whatever dh and mil were bugging you about.

Chloe where are youoouuuuuuououououououou?

CSWS, Memphis! your next bump may be a southern belle Xmas Wink

Uni good for apples here too, my mum has off loaded two trees worth onto me!

Flame {{{Hugs}}}} are you coping ok?

Macca, my dh is just as crap, especially with the ironing, which has been needing doing for 2 weeks now (I've done mine, his is in a heap)

Soooooo hello everyone, are we all having a good Tuesday?
Bit quiet here today, all the kids back at school, so time to reflect on what needs doing in the shop, via a quick pop on here to say hi to you all! was up till 10.30 doing the accounts last night, but can report a good 1st week in business, hurrah Xmas Smile
So dd2 messed me around last night at 11pm, so I said, do you want to go back into your cot, no she said, so after another 5 mins of phaffing I put her into her cot (rather than her 1 week old donated bed) 2 mins later, she walks back into my bedroom, sigh....at least I can take the cot down now.....ended up doing the sit with your back turned at the side of the bed thing, till she calmed down enough to go back to sleep Xmas Hmm
dd1 is 4 on Thursday, where did that time go Xmas Shock

Frizombie · 30/10/2007 14:13

oh bugger I put f's insead of h's!

Jas · 30/10/2007 15:27

I'm tired and dirty (been sorting in the loft so the electrician can get access).
Good to hear your news Dame. Fingers crossed that thigs stay good

I will try and come back this evening, as I've forgotten everything I wanted to say.

Did your builders come back csws?

Frizombie · 30/10/2007 17:01

Hurrah for loft Jas
Great news girls, I am in posession of some fabulous Black, White and Red, stripey pirate socks for me

Jas · 30/10/2007 17:05

I'm wearing my black and white ones right now

mustrunawaywithasexyvampire · 30/10/2007 18:46

Did I ever actually thank you for my socks Jas?
Did you find anything exciting uptyour loft?

Off out in a bit (posh meal that I won at theschool raffle!) Hoping it miht make ans and dh stop bickering

Still in a school quandry, but I've got an appointment at one on fri morn, and have decided to ignore the closest and most shitty one And the third one just laughed when I told them where I lived, as its over a mile away! So am hoping the Friday one will be lovely.

Flame, we still love the puppet

Jas · 30/10/2007 19:33

Nothing exciting. I'd emptied it a cople of years ago whendp said he was going to do it before, so no hidden treasures.
I did find the baby mobile I hunted for ages for a few weeks ago though.

I've nothing to add that hasn't already been sugested to your school thread, but visiting the schools is a very good idea. Other parents will always give biased views depending on their own experiences of a school.

Jas · 30/10/2007 19:37

Oooh - Memphis I know nothing about it, nut a bit of international living may be fun.

mrm - I can't work out ans in your last post.....
Have a nice meal out.

UniSarah · 30/10/2007 20:32

apples- Dh is now asking at tea time " how are we having our apples today?" he was surprised to hear it was pear crumble today. We have had baked apples with mincemeat, crumble, sponge pudding, raw, apple cake. Will have sausage and apple casorole on thursday. I've stewed some, ditto pears. I've given some away.

apple cake recipe- melt 100g of butter, add chopped apple ( 1 or 2) 1/2 cup soft brown sugar, 1/2 cup gran sugar. 1 egg, 1 cup SR flour, some cinnamon, some nutmeg. Mix, put in lined cake tin (8inch square) cook at 180 for about 30 min ( with fan oven, longer in conventional).

Stairgate- we never had one at the bottom any way, we have 2 short sets of stairs only 6 steps each. So consequence of a fall is not so bad as in some houses. Boy has been doing stairs since about 10m/o.

CantSleepWontSleep · 30/10/2007 20:43

I couldn't fathom 'ans' either. Glad it's not just me! Though from the context I assume it's meant to mean 'me and dh'?

Builders not back yet Jas, but as they weren't sure how long the other job would take, I assumed that I wouldn't see them before about Thurs. Assumed that if the job was only a day or two then they would know that beforehand .

dame - for still feeling a bit in limbo, but for the scan being positive.

So, has anyone else reached the 'mine, mine, mine' phase yet? Please tell me it passes quickly .

DD has also just started biting if she doesn't get her own way. Yesterday she bit my leg because I put it in front of the buttons that she was trying to pull out of the cooker (the little knob things that set the timer/clock etc), and today she grabbed my thumb and put it in her mouth specifically to bite it because I wouldn't let her mess in my bedroom drawers. I think I just managed to stop her from biting the arm of another girl at toddler group this morning too. What a joyous habit.

Went to the gym again this afternoon whilst dd was with the childminder. Burned 415 calories plus a little swim, which I was rather pleased with.

CantSleepWontSleep · 30/10/2007 20:47

Ooh, thanks for the apple cake recipe. I have put myself down for taking cake to my Friday friends this week, specifically so that I can use some apples in it! Was going to make a plain sponge and sandwich with apples, but think I might give your recipe a go instead.

Jas · 30/10/2007 20:54

Yes. I think I will try apple cake, too

Sarah - If you saw my stairs you would understand my need for a gate. They are very steep ad the treads are alot smaller than an adults foot. DS can get up but I've never let him try and get down. (He manages normal stairs at other peoples houses perfecly)

I love the biting phase. You need friends with older children who have already been there or it can get very embarassing. The dds were not too bad, but I suspec ds may be different. He doesn't bite, but has a new trick if I pick him up when he doesn't want m to. In addition to going totally limp and trying to slide down, he pushes the middle of my throat. Very unpleasant.

No comment on "mine, mine" Serves you right for having a dd with advanced language DS finds grabbing and pushing gets the message across perfctly

FlameInHell · 30/10/2007 20:57

We seem to have stopped biting now (I know I shouldn't have said that)

Would "Mineminemine" equate to ?

Waiting to go out - Stepsister's birthday and they invited me out for the night, but they are calling when they are on their way to the club I didn't have time to get everything done before going to the starting place with them so it seemed easier this way.

Who goes to a club on a Tuesday night???? Oh, that's right, 19 yr olds
