thanks- confused me by not having a 'D' in front of it LOL

dd only had 1 hour nap today, woke up at 7, went to bed at 7, so not too bad, though I had to get up to get her out of her cot and change/dress her, before I got to go back to bed for my lie-in

Jas · 28/10/2007 20:33

Sounds like my usual lie in EPPP. It involves me dressing ds and feding all 3 then going back to bed. Not quite the same as dp just turning over and going back to sleep.

Macwitch · 28/10/2007 20:35

Ds2 got up at 4! Had a 40 min nap and went to bed at normal 6.45 but he played for ages. Ds said he talks too much when he's trying to go to sleep . J

I've just been shopping and ordered a new, bigger duvet so the dam thing fits and I can clip it down.

Looking at schools on Tuesday. Forms need completing by 1st Dec! YIKES!

EachPeachPearMum · 28/10/2007 20:46

Ha Jas- if we have another, I will make sure they adore HIM!
Yeah- its so easy for him when he has a lie-in, he really does sleep all the way through to when I go up and get him- he never hears her wailing, and he thinks he's justified, as she usually moans and says 'no Papa' if he goes in to her anyway.

Sorry, rant over

FlameInHell · 28/10/2007 20:51

Liking the name MRM

mustrunawaywithasexyvampire · 28/10/2007 21:07

Ta Flame it was the best I could come up with given that I put zero effort into thinking!

so, ds2 did 5.30 till 6.45 with no nap. Usually does that with a 45 min kip somewhere along the line. I'm praying for the 3 day glitch like you csws!

Er, I'm sure I mentioned it Jas (the gate) If not, serves you right for ignoring the buying and selling Funnily, the buyers registered address is your place! Well, not your house obviously, but your town. I still have the other kiddiguard up the loft, but I really think I might have to be a bad mother and use it for the kitchen (as well as being a bad mother using reins )

FlameInHell · 28/10/2007 21:11

How are you a bad mother for kitchen gate and reins (checks another 2 things off "bad mother list" along with "drinking from puddles" and "playing naked in rain")?

Gone a bit As much as I have been desperate for full time school, I am at the "As of tomorrow she will be gone all day every day (term time) for ever"

CantSleepWontSleep · 28/10/2007 21:14

Focus on the 'term time' caveat, and think of it as 'for the next few weeks until the Christmas hols'.

CantSleepWontSleep · 28/10/2007 21:15

Oh no - I've caught Jas disease !

EachPeachPearMum · 28/10/2007 21:16

Oh Flame- {{{{HUGS}}} but wow- such a big girl!

FlameInHell · 28/10/2007 21:23

lol @ Jas disease

As a distraction from thoughts, come see my latest dyeing playing here

Not perfect, but not a bad first attempt! (They started out plain cream).

Got different dyes and am playing - that was kool aid, using different dye on nappies and wraps during this week

UniSarah · 28/10/2007 21:50

blooming hek , you lot been nattering like crazy. I was only gone one day.
had a good day out with my parents yesterday, steam trains and a V pricely but VVVVV nice light lunch at a totnes cafe that coped with boy, and sorted him out some bread and buter before the rest of our meal was prepared.
I ought to go and stew some pears, I'm still knee deep in apples and M&D bought us down a bag of pears as they have a bumper crop. ONLY managed to palm 4 apples off on them in return.

Stair gates. I'm considering removing ours.
Daytimne naps- sometimes he does sometimes he don't.
House rebuliding- EEEK, hope teh roof don;t fall in.V brave,

Phoenix · 28/10/2007 22:04

Well you wanted a busy thread Uni

Helloooooooo Kel

& for full time school

Mum said ds was up at 7 this morning so that was good. I was up at 9.30

Phoenix · 28/10/2007 22:10

Uni - I took our stair gate off a few weeks ago and ds doesn't bother going up them at all now. I just need dh to move it up to outside his bedroom door. Although saying that i'm probably better doing it myself cos originally i put it on the stairs and it lasted up until dh fell down them and wiped it off the wall () when he put it back it fell off after a few weeks

CantSleepWontSleep · 28/10/2007 22:35

Right, have been distracted by the extended bf thread for blummin ages, and need my bed, so will have to reply properly to everyone tomorrow.

Night all.

mustrunawaywithasexyvampire · 29/10/2007 07:03

I'd love to spend a day doing DIY with MrPhoenix

Meeting a friends new baby today; then its back to nursery but its tooo cold. I dont want to go out!! Am really hoping that the Mum of the girl that ds1 is sharing a party with has actually got round to doing the invitations now Its leaving it a bit late now. Plus I've told some mums and not others, so I dont want the others to get in a huff!

Been up since 5, including also up at 2 and 3 and 4.15

Macwitch · 29/10/2007 08:21

So while I was drying my hair, ds2 went into the downstairs toilet to get himself a stool, take it to the kitchen, climb up and get at the bowl where his dummy's were. He managed to empty half the water over the floor and himself. I am so glad it wasn't boiling water! I thought everything on the surface was out of his reach, how wrong was I?

Last nights roast chicken was left out all night rather than put in the fridge for the boys tea and my lunch. Apparently I didn't ask it to be put in the fridge! Half a wasted chicken now in the bin. Resulted in a blazing row with dh this morning. It does surprise me that his work pay him an awful lot of money when they have to tell him to do what job and when, and have to be asked to do every task without doing it off his back. Anybody elses husband have this too, or is my husband just very lucky to have a job like this

FlameInHell · 29/10/2007 13:43

You could be describing my DH... the most memorable time being when I sent him out to do the cheese for the pasta bake when I was pregnant... he literally went out and grated it - didn't put it on - when I went to take it out of the oven 20 mins later we had pasta burnt and cheese still on the side, and no other food in. I sobbed.

DS has been asleep since 9.30am... should I worry? He hasn't had much in the way of naps for 2 days, but 4 1/4 hours is excessive no?

FlameInHell · 29/10/2007 15:08

He woke about 5 mins after that - very bouncy!

Phoenix · 29/10/2007 19:57

Talking to yourself Flame? . for the long nap, did you get things done while he was asleep or keep checking he was ok cos he was asleep so long

Where is everyone??

Jas · 29/10/2007 20:35

Very quiet here today

Had she done the invitations mrm?

Macca - you are not alone. DP still needs telling to feed his own children, remember!

Mega nap Flame . Has he gone down for the night ok?

Hello Phoenix

I have holes in my walls, but persuaded dp not to take out bricks until tomorrow, as I don't like being able to see through the bedroom walls onto the landing.

I need to take lots of pictures of ds. His hair is going really dark and when (if) I get it cut there will be no hint of blond at all.

Phoenix · 29/10/2007 20:38

Hi Jas

I'm very bored dh is on nights.

Jas · 29/10/2007 20:41

I keep comin in here to get stuff ready for back-to school tomorrow, then just mumsnetting instead

House is on in a bit. If you see me past 9 o'clock remind me as I don't want to miss it.

Jas · 29/10/2007 20:43

Oooh, I have car tax to sort out. I'll do it now....
