erm- what/who is DL? I'm having problems working it out...

mustrunmore · 27/10/2007 23:01

Ha ha, sorry. Csws came up with that abbreviation; he's my lovely lovely friend who lives with us part time, but no longer pays us any money, but instead he comes bearing bread and milk and cereal You mean you couldn't guess that?!

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/10/2007 23:04

It does actually stand for 'darling lodger', so isn't a random choice of letter!

mustrunmore · 27/10/2007 23:06

But he isnt a lodger techincally now, so he's have to be DSBAE (darling supply bringer and entertainer)

EachPeachPearMum · 27/10/2007 23:11

LOL- and I wonder why I couldn't work that out!

I did hazard a guess at Dear/darling Lover, but the DH comment was confusing me, unless you have an extremely accommodating DH of course

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/10/2007 23:11

Or DBOTS (darling bit on the side ).

Off to bed now. Don't want to waste all of the extra hour!

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/10/2007 23:12

Ahhh, I do love a good cross post .

mustrunmore · 27/10/2007 23:25

csws, you're a cheeky mare and you'll get me a bad name Now, you know perfectly well he's got short hair, so that rules him out, doesnt it??!!

(EEPM, thats why I didnt go with csws's suggestion of what to call him at first, as it does read like that too, but I kind of caved in for the sake of ease of typing!)

Quick nudge for Flame to send me address for sis.

EachPeachPearMum · 27/10/2007 23:29

Ah, mrm- long hair fancier! a girl after my own heart

EachPeachPearMum · 27/10/2007 23:29

well, IYSWIM

EachPeachPearMum · 27/10/2007 23:30

Am going to make tracks myself, as I know dd will be up at 7 instead of 8... though its my turn to lie-in

mustrunmore · 27/10/2007 23:31

People were made to have long hair, else it wouldn't grow.

mustrunmore · 27/10/2007 23:33

I should be in bed too; got 2 days of diary left to do though. Am banking on my Mum dealing with the boys in the morn, before she goes home! BTW, csws, she's going to buy me new earrings if the jewellers is open on the way to the bus, to replace the one thats prob still on the floor of the gift shop! Nice, new, shiny, and impossible to pull out!

EachPeachPearMum · 27/10/2007 23:37

what kind of diary? Gah, can't help myself, Im a nosey git

mustrunmore · 27/10/2007 23:39

Er, just a diary! Like girls write, except as you grow up there's less of 'xxx snogged me on the bus and yyyy called me a bitch' Done it every day since I was 13 >

Jas · 27/10/2007 23:41

I love the dl conversations

DS is getting little people stuff for Christmas from us, and an Aquadraw from fil (he leaves me the money to spend ).

DD1 wants to adopt the horse at the farm, so I'm going to get mm anddad to do it for her present.

DPhas just explained what he is going to do with the bits of wood in the garden. It involves lifting them through the upstairs windows, and removing bits of the walls that I thought were holding the house up. He has also admitted it isn't going to be done by Christmas.I will be letting him off as long as serious progress is being made though.

Jas · 27/10/2007 23:42

Ds was up til 10.30, so I don't think the clock change is going to ause a problem here. I think his teeth are hurting him.

EachPeachPearMum · 27/10/2007 23:44

Sorry- sounds very healthy and Im sure therapeutic! I wasn't sure if it was like a video diary, or a weight-loss diary or meds diary or somesuch.

A snog on the bus would be lovely I think, but i cant remember the last time i had one of those

mustrunmore · 27/10/2007 23:45

We have serious tooth issues here too

Is dp sure the walls arent structural??!! Do you have a neighbour to live with whn your house collapses?

must go to bed. Only came on to check my ebay sales...

mustrunmore · 27/10/2007 23:46

Hmmm. I know. If we tried to snog on th bus, one of the boys would escpae while we werent looikng.

EachPeachPearMum · 27/10/2007 23:47

Aquadraws look great Jas, but they are so blimming expensive!

not jealous of the hole in your house though

EachPeachPearMum · 27/10/2007 23:48

LOL- I come on here to STOP me looking at ebay....

mustrunmore · 27/10/2007 23:48

Ds2 is getting the mini aqua draws from my not-auntie, but ds1 is going to be very jealous.

Jas · 27/10/2007 23:50

£15 for the basic one in Argos. I'm ot buying the Thomas one for more money when he will just toss the ttrain and break it anyway.

It is the top brick of the upstairs wall, so only supporting the ceiling. He is doing it to put in bigger joists and a new ceiling. (He doesn know what he is doing, honestly. Itis jst me that glazes over and doesn't understand when he starts explaiing.

Generally anything he does has the belt and braces approach, and exceeds the building inspectors standards.

mustrunmore · 27/10/2007 23:52

So, when we somehow come into money, how will he feel about putting a treadmill room on the front of my house for me?!
