I think it was our connexion- Dh is downloading something, sorry!

Eugh, potty training. Am dreading it. I have the knickers, and non-poppered vests all ready. I foolishly thought maybe we would do it over summer so she could run around naked, but she wasn't ready, and wasn't walking , so would be unable to get to or on the potty. Now she's on the move and now its going to be so cold.
She's such a monkey about nappy business too. She knows when she's doing/had a poo, but she denies it when I ask her. Other times I ask when she hasn't had one and she says she has! When I check she laughs and says 'wee wees' Grrrr! She still can't pull her trousers down though.
I was trained by the time my brother came along (1y 11mo) day and night, though I don't remember whether I had frequent accidents...

Jas · 22/10/2007 07:03

I was thinkng maybe next summer.

FlameBat · 22/10/2007 07:55

I was thinking next summer too

I can't remember if we were told and it was good news, or if we are still waiting on results - but Dame's head things that she was going for scans for... what stage are we at, and how would a pregnancy affect it?

Hi guys. had a crap weekend here. Bascially ds2 woke up at 1am on Sunday morning and wouldn't settle, so I took up a spare duvert and lay ont he floor next to him. He still kept fussing and hanging his head over the bed to see if I was still there. At 2.30 ds woke and threw up everywhere and that was basically it for the rest of the night. Ds2 started at 6.30 followed by a runny bum. I am knackered! I have an assessment tonight which I haven't prepared for and I'm too tired to even worry about it!

Boys are tickety boo this morning and itching to go out, however I have to wait in for a parcel which I have already missed twice.

Uni, I'm not from London but moved there when I was 18 to go to uni. I moved out to Essex 2 years ago after living in New Cross for 9 years. During my student days I lived in Camberwell, Peckham and Borough.

Erm I have read the posts but you guys were very busy chatting that it's all drifted out in a haze.

Oh oh, I smell poo, better go and change ds2....

2boysmacca · 22/10/2007 08:31

OK scrap that. Ds2 still has the bug, only it is now the squits. AND dh had very kindly emptied the wipes and not bothered to refill them. I had to get ds to run and fetch some towels to soak it up. Yuk

FlameBat · 22/10/2007 08:33

for your weekend

DS is wearing a nappy - hurrah! I plan to enjoy the moment while it lasts

Morning. forgotten most of what I just read, except...
Flame, if you're such a scrounger that you take milks with you...
Jas, TBH, its just dawned on me that I didnt notice your close proximity to the M25 Why not?
csws, I'll look at the website for Mountfitchet, but I never thought of it being train-accessible TBH, as it looks like such a tiny place! I'll have to check prices too. And I'd prob end up going into London to get the train back out!!! I seem to have lost the ability to make decisions lately. All I want is an easy easy day to tire the boys out with no places ds2 can leg it off around and we lose him!

mrm - tottenham hale to stansted mountfitchet. Takes about 30 mins, usually every half an hour.

mustrunmore · 22/10/2007 10:06

How do you know that?! Is the station right by the castle then too? Or at least a ds1 walking distance?

mustrunmore · 22/10/2007 10:20

Oh, sod it. Lets just go to the zoo! if I go in with dh, I'll be at Regents Park about 10.30am.

2boysmacca · 22/10/2007 11:14

I live about 10 mins from there!

mustrunmore · 22/10/2007 11:19

Oh yeah

mustrunmore · 22/10/2007 13:20

Nope, changed my mind again; been to the shop for milk, and its sooo cold I never want to leave the house again!
BTW, dh says he's going to talka bout boxing day today, but he does want to see if the monkey boy will do it! See? He loves you enough to turn down 8hrs at double time!

FlameBat · 22/10/2007 13:30

He's just heard about the magic bin

OP posts:
mustrunmore · 22/10/2007 13:33

Nah, but he knows about the tempur and the beer in the shed

Ds1 keeps asking when he can go and play in the playhouse again too!

I cant do today.... still no voice, only a squeak, and these 2 just laugh if I try to be stern WE're doing train track. But alot of it has been lobbed down the toilet, along with ds1's special rabbit, and ds2's shoe

FlameBat · 22/10/2007 13:42

pmsl

Sorry. not funny.

OP posts:
FlameBat · 22/10/2007 13:47

Urgh

Psychomum's been in another car accident

Head on smash at 30 mph One child with a broken nose, one hit windscreen so being treated for concussion (not entirely sure how, she would have been clipped in...), one grazed face, one with big lump on head where the the broken nose one hit him on his way back, Psycho hurting - no idea about the last child!

Car is just a complete smush, luckily they drive a bloody great people carrier, it would have been a hell of a lot worse in a little car.

So many issues after the last crash though, I'm worried how both of us will get through this

OP posts:
FlameBat · 22/10/2007 13:48

Didn't say what happened - there was a bus or lorry pulled in, car decided to pull round it and go down the one car lane, not bothering to check if there was a car (who had right of way) coming the other way

OP posts:
FlameBat · 22/10/2007 14:24

ooh ooh - went into the bank, they are giving me a debit card for the business account

OP posts:
mustrunmore · 22/10/2007 14:34

Oh my God, thats terrible. (crash, not card).

2boysmacca · 22/10/2007 14:42

Awful about the crash

Without sounding rude (although I'm sure I'll probably offend), I didn't understand your last bit about you both getting through this?

FlameBat · 22/10/2007 14:45

We are very close, and I usually end up doing a lot of supporting. She ended up very depressed after the last accident, and I went down with her. I balance on the edge enough as it is with my own stuff, we absorb each other's emotions and I am not too sure how well I will cope with it. Last time I was fairly balanced in myself - this time I am already low, running a business etc.

CantSleepWontSleep · 22/10/2007 15:03

for Psycho. Was the other knobhead hurt too?

for macca's boys too. Hope your assessment goes ok tonight.

So we're staying in at yours on Wedns then mrm . You know I might just go and buy another bloody car seat and then you can just come on the train with one, and we'll go to Whipsnade (and I can detour slightly to show you the school we like ).

Got an unexpected free bit of time, as have sent dd to childminder for 3 hours this afternoon. She called to see if we could move dd from tomorrow, and we ended up sending her today and tomorrow instead! Have Home Extension Team people coming to chat about feasibility of extension in half an hour though, so that will use up most of it.

She spent half an hour having a 'settling in session' at the gym creche this morning. She wandered off as soon as we got in there, and didn't even notice when I left, let alone be bothered by being with a bunch of strangers! Have booked her in for a proper session (1.5hrs) on Thurs, so that I can use the gym.

UniSarah · 22/10/2007 15:04

EPPM- the foundation profile is actully from 3-5 schools in he same area. so not pure for any one of teh schools. just a kind of over veiw of schools in a pretty mixed part of the city.
Goota go, boiy is STILL shouting, I balled up getting out of car asleep and into bed still sleeping. BUM
