"Have Home Extension Team people coming to chat about feasibility of extension in half an hour though"... they're quick builders

mustrunmore · 22/10/2007 15:30

Nah, decision made again, for now. Lets go to the zoo. Butties for lunch, then we'll get hot food for tea. I'll have to get the zip fixed on my boots tomorrow (if I'm not still under house arrest waiting for couriers!) so I can keep my feet warm Anyway, the colder, the less busy?

2boysmacca · 22/10/2007 15:49

You guys are TOTALLY mad going to London Zoo at half term. BONKERS!!!

btw can't ds just have a booser seat now, for emergency trips. he can hold it himself (also works well at the dinner table too so they can reach )

Just managed to slip off the sofa for a minute. Ds2 hasn't left my lap since he got up. If I move, he screams. My mind is dull from CBeebies all afternoon. Dh said he's come home early so that he can make sure boys are settled so i still get to do my course and assessment. However he's not feeling too well himself. Oh Oh, ds2 has noticed I've been gone too long and he's grumbling. Debating whether to cook for them tonight or just offer beans on toast as they've eaten nothing for last 2 days. Can't be arsed to cook and then have to throw it away again.

mustrunmore · 22/10/2007 16:49

God, no. he's too small. the seatbelt cuts right across his neck. And given that a friend of a friend's little boy was killed for that reason in a crash not long ago, i'd rather not chance it. he'll be in hid integral harness for some time. I let him on Jas's one, and he just looked sooo small.

What shall we do?

BTW, dh can take boxing day off as long as he does New Year. So you dont have to get up at the crack of dawn csws!

FlameBat · 22/10/2007 18:41

Been to see Psycho - the other daughter was uninjured but very shaken up (she saw it coming and was in the last accident)

All looking a bit battered, going over again tomorrow whilst Psychodad goes to get the contents of the car (towed, DD1 is more upset about her make up being in the car than smashing the windscreen with her head! Had she not been clipped in, she would have gone straight through )

Very positive today, a complete turn around from yesterday. Plus StressTeddy on the other thread says that I can give her money to another MNer in need, so I have warm fuzziness of helping someone even if it isn't with my money!

Oh yuck. We nearly had a side-on collision in Israel, literally avoided by 12". Its scary when you konw its coming and there's nothing you can do.

been on that thread. Tis most odd, but nice!

CantSleepWontSleep · 22/10/2007 21:14

Yay for boxing day! Now if you could just let dd know that I don't have to get up at the crack of dawn .

Just found the thread you were on about. How peculiar! (and don't worry about what you were worrying about on it mrm!)

I don't know what we're doing mrm . Shouldn't be this hard should it?!

FlameBat · 22/10/2007 21:14

pmsl!! Forgot to namechange then?

CantSleepWontSleep · 22/10/2007 21:17

Shit .

FlameBat · 22/10/2007 21:18

sorry , not amusing

(DH is looking quizzically at the tears streaming down my face )

CantSleepWontSleep · 22/10/2007 21:19

Have reported myself to MN. Hoping they work evenings.

FlameBat · 22/10/2007 21:20

They are normally really fast even in evenings

mustrunmore · 22/10/2007 21:31

Sorry, I'm seeing the funny side too! Esp given the last bit you posted under that name

mustrunmore · 22/10/2007 21:33

Er, shall we go to warwick castle? If dh has checked we have enough left?

mustrunmore · 22/10/2007 21:33

That was quick!

CantSleepWontSleep · 22/10/2007 21:34

Oh ha ha mrm!

Thank you MNTowers!

At least it was just you two that saw it (I hope).

mustrunmore · 22/10/2007 21:35

Was thibking that on boxing day the kids acould all just amuse each other for a few hrs while we snooze?!

Have gone against my better nature and had a tesco delivery, because I needd food! They managed to annoy me yet again.

CantSleepWontSleep · 22/10/2007 21:36

Yeah, why not. Long journey won't seem so bad with them all to entertain each other in the car. You'll have to put ds1 in the middle row of seats so that both the little ones can see him!

mustrunmore · 22/10/2007 21:37

Very lucky that I just happenend to be here to snigger at oyur expense, you muppet

CantSleepWontSleep · 22/10/2007 21:37

What did they do this time, or shouldn't I ask?!

mustrunmore · 22/10/2007 21:38

Can you get him in the middle? Is it a proper belt? he'd love that, I'm sure!
Have a feeling I might get stressed runnig after ds2 all day, but heigh ho.
Last time we went, they let us queuejump too

CantSleepWontSleep · 22/10/2007 21:41

Middle row. As in there are 3 rows of 2, so the seat that you normally fold down and climb past to put them in the back back. ie the seat behind where you sit. Am I clear enough yet?

mustrunmore · 22/10/2007 21:43

Dull and minimal compared to the washer fiasco.Sorry to disappoint!

I order non applicator super, I get applicator regular. Despite saying no subs.

2 things were BOGOF; I get one of each, and the free one of each was unavailable

My halloumi is missing but charged for, so I phone up. Check email;reimbursed the correct amount, but for houmous, which is a totally different price. So i could've quoted any old price to them

How can Tescos, a big one, have no bananas at all? And no potato waffles?

To be fair, I was happy that they were 1/2 hr early (lucky I got ds1 to bed mind you!)

mustrunmore · 22/10/2007 21:46

Oh So ds2 will be on his own in the back? Why isnt there a belt in the middle of the middle? Design fault there you know!

BTW, how's your timing? I really dont want them to fall asleep on the way home unless its late enough to transfer to bed immediately! Esp as dL is home that night, so I need them to be asleep and not causing trouble!

mustrunmore · 22/10/2007 21:49

csws; saw this today!
