Sorry you had a rubbish night Eddas, can totally sympathise with the tired dd = PITA thing too.

BIL works for the Royal Mail (accountant) and he generally has one or two things to say about the tendancy to strike at the drop of a hat . I suspect he'll not be happy at the moment as every time there's a strike he ends up having to work ridiculous long hours too.

Hope Eva had a stable night, Leaky.

geordiemacmummy · 09/10/2007 09:07

I wouldnt care if the lazy feckers ctually did their jobs properly but I cant remember the las time I got my post before 1pm.... and a parcel that oooggs sent me was just left on the doorstep for anyone to help themselves to. RAAAAAAAAAA

And relax...

Ironically C slept from 7.30 til 6 last night... I however woke up almost every hour, so am absolutely shattered!!!

nappynuttynormabutty · 09/10/2007 09:43

Morning all.

Sympathies about the bad night Eddas, Erin woke a few times crying. She mainly settled herself again but had to be cuddled a couple of times. Pretty sure it's her teeth cos her first one came through on Friday.

I too think the posties knew what they were getting when they took the job so shouldn't be able to strike. We often get post for other addresses here and I do wonder how much of our post ends up elsewhere...but I won't complain too much cos he is VERY sexy

CaptainDippy · 09/10/2007 09:46

Morning - peace and quiet ..... older 2 at nursery, P in cot - hurrah - hope she stays there for a bit longer yet ......

KHIN - I would be absolutely fuming - I would completely hit the roof if my DH did that - total lack of respect, trust and understanding - Sounds to me like he has a lot of explaining to do - as well as fawning and grovelling!!!!!!! Kick him in the bollocks from moi .....

Glad Eva is not any worse, Leaky - Please keep us informed as and when - continuing to think of her and pray. Sorry nights with G are again - hoping they improve soooooooooooon.

Oooooooh Ooooooooh Ooooooooh!!!! Had my fisrt weaning nappy this morning Full of brocolli, banana, courgette and other random crap I've been shoving her way ...... and even better - DH changed it!!

Mwah ha ha ha ha ha!!

CaptainDippy · 09/10/2007 09:50

LOL @ you and your "sexy postie", NNNB! Bet you are missing him at the moment. I am hoping we start getting post again soon cos I sent off for a special present for my best friend who is having a baby any day and I want it to get here in time ......... .......

SharpMolarBear · 09/10/2007 09:51

aaargh
Stupid bank

Sexonlegs · 09/10/2007 09:58

Pmsl at sexy postie!

We have a new postman:

B: are you new?
Postie: Yes I am
B: Whats your name?
Postie: John
B: I like you!

Eddas, I can totally and uttery understand how your dd was, as B is exactly the same. She hates it when dh goes to work and she stands at the window screaming that she wants another kiss and cuddle even when there is no way dh can hear her.

geordiemacmummy · 09/10/2007 10:00

OMG Just missed on Jeremy Kyle... 8 potential dads...who fathered my baby?

VamPesha · 09/10/2007 10:07

We're still getting our post

CaptainDippy · 09/10/2007 10:11

LOL @ B, SOL - Just the sort of thing my DD1 would say - she is such a cheeky little minx, especially with the men!!

Pesha - may be your postie just fancies you!!?

Urgh - JeremyVile.

Plurflurp ........

Sexonlegs · 09/10/2007 10:18

CD, B is a nightmare. Last week when we were in town, sh went up to 2 Community Police Officers, who I have to say were gorgeous, and started asking them whether they drove a Police car! I was so embarrassed!

CaptainDippy · 09/10/2007 10:26

oooggs · 09/10/2007 11:13

eddas that would be fab how much do you think it would be to post??????? I only need one, as I have one (I know I have a highchair fetish!!)(rather than nappies & pushchairs) I already have one and I keep it in the box, will drag it out and weight it.

I need it for visiting ils and feeing at Rainbows etc.......

Oh good morning btw. Still can't get over your dh KHIN

Hope you had a good night Eva

Becky sounds so funny sol

CaptainDippy · 09/10/2007 11:37

Hi oooggs!

Sexonlegs · 09/10/2007 11:38

Oooggs, thank you. Becky is a delight in many respects, but she can also be incredibly stubborn and quite obnoxious as well which is a shame, as it detracts from the good and fun side.

oooggs · 09/10/2007 11:42

your welcome sol

hi dippy

CaptainDippy · 09/10/2007 11:42

Sounds mighty familiar, SOL!

Idreamofbroomsticks · 09/10/2007 11:52

Haven't read today's posts, so forgive me, but have a look at this as it will make you laugh, particularly if you have older DCs.

Back later!

Frankendooby · 09/10/2007 11:54

Morning ALL.kNEEHIGH SOUNDS DREADFUL...WISH I COULD BE HELPFUL..BUT NOT to discuss firstHaven't read all posts yet.As usual playing catch up.Feel abit up and down at the mo.17 years ago i had a baby girl, born at 33 weeks, she lived for 2 weeks and round this time of year i always feel emotional...It always seems to take me by surprise and it was my friend who pointed out why i may be feeling odd!
Raining here and dark so everything feels cosy.
Like the idea of not serilising everything.I am quite relaxed about it too.Nothing wrong with abit of dirt
Hope everyone is trucking on ok.I am off to hoover...ahhhh the glamour

CaptainDippy · 09/10/2007 12:02

M seems to sleep for approx 25mins 4x a day...sometimes just 15! blimmin unreasonable

Sexonlegs · 09/10/2007 14:08

Hi all

Dooby thinking of you. I cannot imagine how you must feel. Irrespective of how long ago it was, it must have been extremely upsetting.

Have just had K weighed. 14 pounds 3 ounces at 24 weeks. Has dropped to the 9th centile, and has put on only 11 ounces in 5 weeks!

HV seems ok about it, but says we should monitor it and to come back in 2 weeks. Feel a bit sad about it which I know is daft as she is perfectly happy and healthy.

Hope everyone is ok and not too soaked by the piddling rain!

geordiemacmummy · 09/10/2007 14:35

Hey ladies.

Prayers for your precious little girl dooby.

Sory need to rant...

Just back from meeting my friend and her 6 week old baby in town... she did nowt but go on about her fab life... her boyf's best friend has a race hourse so they have been to the races in the winners enclousure, in her new designer dress, family looked aftertheie 3 kids, they went to a huge house party, she was rolling drunk, again without the kids, they are going to a huge wedding at the weekend, without kids, she needed a new outfit so she trailed me round coast and karen millen - spending £190 on a dress, and then told me how she has booked a fab hotel in town with a separete jacuzzi suite for boxing day, again without the kids... grand life isnt it....Made me feel crap so have come home and am eating cake
