Hello

Ellie - I know you're coming back down but Joe will have grown out of them by then!

Just put ds1 back to bed, he's burning up and his eyes are all red and bloodshot He fell asleep on sofa earlier and was snoring, sounded just like a very loud cat purring!

Oh and baby clinic was crap. D has lost 2 oz from 3weeks ago Luckily nice hv was there and just said oh well hows solids going, keep it up kinda thing. We have paed appt on friday and will hopefully get test results back and dietician appt next wed. Am hoping that all will be fine with him (obviously!) and although he may lose abit now with solids i hope it will soon pick up. M and N bith got really chunky around the 8 month mark!

liath · 08/10/2007 20:01

Hi everyone!

Struggling to keep up again but at your DH KHIN, unbelievable twattery. Sure it must be a male thing - my dad did something similar more than once & to say it hasn't done much for his relationship with my mum would be an understatement, what on earth goes through their tiny minds????

Naff all happening here, DH off to London wednesday for his exam, then more revision and second exam in November. Went to my university reunion on saturday and got quite embarassingly drunk, ended up flailing around on the dancefloor to She Sells Sanctuary then slipped and went my length . Thank goodness J didn't need fed until 6am but had a "lovely" day looking after them with a hangover yesterday. Oops.

BTW will start weaning soon so any tips from BLW/finger food experts? The figs sounded excellent.

AuntieMeemz · 08/10/2007 20:26

Poor you KHIN, what a rotten, rotten time you have had. As for IL's, well-what a -blardy cheeky lotbunch! You put so much effort in, your reward will come. As for the 2K, be assured that fate will pay you back.
Hope dh sees the error of his ways too. I'm sure my dh would do the same if pressurised.

thinking of you

oh dear, need to work out how to cross out words, and remove extra copy of posting.

I don't want to excite anyone from the nappy side, but I got Mothercare's new Smart nappy today...

more later

WestCountryLass · 08/10/2007 20:49

KHIN, I would have his bollocks on a plate for that. We haven't got £2K to lend anyone but if we did and it was given away for a caravan I would be beyond livid, if it was a genuine emergency I would be the first to help out but if you can't afford to buy a luxury without borrowing the money then you don't have it.

SharpMolarBear · 08/10/2007 20:59

liath, hope your DH's exam goes well
LOL at you dancing and falling over
How is everyone else? I'm having a cup of coffee as T has had an early night - I'm going to have one too

Sexonlegs · 08/10/2007 21:23

Hi all

Lith, good to see you.

MMK, you are on the slippery slope to re-usables then!!

All ok here. B managed to bash her head on a bench at gym and has a large lump on her head poor lamb. She seems fine about it thankfully.

K woke up after only an hour of being asleep. Have given her some nurofen as I am sure she is teething. She looks as though she has one or two peaking out but not at the front but at the side iyswim.

Hope everyone is ok.

My midwife/friend had a baby girl today which is just lovely news.

Leaky, any news on Eva?

leakyR · 08/10/2007 21:27

Evening all

Knackered today. G has woken at 5.30 every morning for a week and is back on his only sleeping 2 hrs at a time again during the night.

Eva had a steady day today, still medicated to control seizures. SIL has been able to hold her again. She's had an ECG today, still no test results from other tests so no idea what is causing the problems. SIL said they just have to take each day as it comes.

KHIN at your DH and rude ILs. Hope you get something sorted out.

Mind gone blank. Think I might go to bed while he's asleep. How sad am I?

PillockInThePumpkin · 08/10/2007 21:30

pleased to hear things have stabilised a bit Leaky, will keep hoping Eva continues to get better x

nappynuttynormabutty · 08/10/2007 21:32

Glad Eva had a better day, thinking of her x

Prob a good idea to get sleep Leaky if George is waking so much, you must be exhausted.

Lol @ you falling when drunk Liath.

about D's weight for you Pesha, seems a few of them haven't grown as quickly as the charts tho when weaning starts so prob nothing to worry about iyswim.

It's FREEZING here...or maybe it's just me

oooggs · 08/10/2007 21:56

keep going Eva

oooggs · 08/10/2007 22:03

I am after a cosetto 'on the move' highchair and Netto are selling the for £24.99. But our closest shop is 132 miles away

SharpMolarBear · 09/10/2007 07:29

Glad Eva is steady, hope the test results come back soon, do they have any idea when this will happen?

Self obsessed rant coming up: Sent our mortgage application last Thursday and of course it still hasn't got there. Considering getting the forms from the branch (if they would have them) and then faxing them.

SharpMolarBear · 09/10/2007 07:30

Forgot to say good morning!

geordiemacmummy · 09/10/2007 08:14

Morning ladies.

Pleased Eva has stabilised Leaky. Hopefully she will start and get better very soon.

SPB - Dont talk to me about banks - went in 2 weeks passed Sat to get me added onto dp's current account, filled in thte forms in branch, after 2 weeks hadnt received anything, went back to branch - no record of it - said she would chase up, still not heard anything by yesterday so rang them - cant find the bloody forms so I have to go back get the forms bring them home so we can both sign and then take them back then they will process them - so with the post strike we probabaly wont get them til next week. Sorry that was soooo boring

Off to meet one of my friends who had a baby 6 weeks ago - he's already 13lb!!!!

Sexonlegs · 09/10/2007 08:17

Morning all.

Leaky, glad Eva had another good day.

Pesha, sorry to hear about D's weight loss. I am sure he is fine. I am taking K today to be weighed, and I am not expecting her to have put on much.

Oooggs, can anyone buy it for you who is maybe coming down your way to visit??

Hi SMB!

All ok here. Weather is pants, but it is October.

Right, better get on. See you later.

Sexonlegs · 09/10/2007 08:19

I hate this postal strike. Hate to be mean, but surely these people knew what the salary and benefits were before they took the job. It drives me bloody mad.

Rant over!

Eddas · 09/10/2007 08:30

KHIN sorry you're having such a bad time with dh, sounds like an arse. Didn't he buy your new house without asking?

Ooogs, I'll have a look in my netto if you like? it's only just down the road.

Leaky, glad Eva had a steady day. Thinking of her and your family

DS was a PITA last night, actually someone mentioned teething and that might've been it. He woke at 2.30ish which is quite early for him. He seems to wake quite often at night but normally not til 4or5, so maybe that was it he was shoving his finger in his mouth alot yesterday. He's weird the teeth coming are the ones right at the back

And if my crap night wasn't bad enough the first thing I have to deal with at 7 is dd being hysterical(crying that is not laughing!) over wait for it...... daddy not blowing her a kiss as he went off on his bike this morning. Seriously you'd think she'd been shot or something the way she was going on me thinks a late night plus waking early = tired dd = PITA

geordiemacmummy · 09/10/2007 08:51

Eddas - sorry ou had such a crap night.. sounds like teeth.

SOL - I agree with entirely, the worst thing is they are planning to strike again starting next Monday.... I wonder how much stuff is getting lost in the post as a direct result of this strike - it'll take weeks to get back to normal.

Forgot to say KHIN, can understand why you are so frustrated and angry... deep breathes and such like. Have you any idea when (or if) you'll get the money back... Surely if they had to borrow £4k from theirn kids you would think that they would accept that they couldnt afford it.... its not like it was a necessaity!!
