pillock, dd says 'sue' for 'zoo' sure it'll all turn out ok, guess some words are harder to say, and maybe they think we're saying 'sue' , I think it's kinda cute

sol/bwi, thanks, i try to be relaxed about these things

it's nice to hear alot of the men folk are a bit der! DH is normally very good but he had his hangover head on

My friends dh actually called heer whilst she was shopping to ask when she was coming back as their ds had had a poo and another time called when she was in town(she's ALWAYS shopping) and asked when she'd be home as he was hungry and wanted a sandwich, she was NOT impressed!

I weighed myself this morning, even though i said I wouldn't(knew I would though) and I've lsot another 4lbs so that's 8lbs in 3 weeks YIPEE Come on slim eddas I know you're in there, bet she's hiding behind some chocolate covered fat

right am off, 'see' you later

Hi Girls, back at work so just doing a sneaky post before the UK office opens and people start actually expecting me to do stuff [siiigh]

Thanks for all the highchair recommendations everyone, have decided not to get the wooden one, I just don't think it will be cushioned/ supportive enough for him.. going to try and sneak out to babysrus at lunch.. (yeah. right)

Haven't had a chance to catch up, Leaky I hope Eva is doing better, she is in my thoughts x

Morning Eddas. Well done on the weight loss. Dieting has slowed down a little here over the last few days, mainly due to PMT and DH being an arse, bringing on me needing chocolate. Need to weigh myself next time I get to the gym (don't have scales at home) to discover the awful truth!

We only sterilise bottles here too. Don't worry about spoons, cups, bowls etc as S puts everything else in her mouth anyway (toys, keys, bits of paper if she can get her hands on it, you know the form). Plus Em is always kissing her on the mouth anyway, so she gets a mouthful of Em's germs. S is having a mixture of home-cooked fruit & veg and various jars. For fruit I mostly use Organix pots that come in 4s (they look like yogurts). Don't have time to get all worked up about her having home-cooked stuff all the time.

Pesha - had to laugh about M's train comments and you worrying about what she'll be like as a teenager. I have similar worries as I watch Em growing older, as she is so much like me it's scary. I just wonder if I'll be as laid-back as my own mum was with me. Somehow I doubt it.

Morning all hope you all had a good weekend!

We went down to Wales see the IL's eeek, they made such a effort it was great
We saw them for a whole hour!
It only took us 3 and a half hours to get there.
All in all not the best weekend we have had but for some reason at the moment we seem to be having a bit of shit luck on the weekends.
First it was the car window getting smashed
second it was me getting mugged
And third weekend in a row now something has gone wrong.
As we were driving down to Wales Dh was having trouble with the sterring on the car, so we pulled into a petrol station, and some wanker body had (we thought) let down one of the back tyers.
After 3 1/2 hours to get down there we settled down for the afternoon at sil's house.

I put the Dt's to leep in her front room in their car seats, they had been in there for about 10 mins and were having a bit of a moan, but were drifting off.
When MIL barges in saying that it is cruel to leave them in there when they are crying, pick's one up orders sil to pick the other up!!!!
Well I'm sure you can imagen we had 2 very very very tired babies for the rest of the night
As for the DC's grandad, well he is not dh's real father but that's not the point, my GD wasn't my dad's dad, but he always treated us like his own GK's, where as this one walked in said "where's the baby" to which the answer was in the front rooom, he walked in looked at the dt's and said "No where is my grandaughter", and went up stairs to get SIL baby, who he see all the time, they have seen the Dt's once since they were born!!!!!
Talk about being welcomed by a family

To really take the piss they asked us to lend them £4,000! to buy a fucking caravan WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why can't MIL's just trust our instincts, after all they are OUR BABIES!!!!!

Anyway, we got on the road yesterday at about 3pm to come home, and driving down the M4 Dh started to have problems with the steering again, so we pulled over and the tyre was flat again, but not just one but BOTH of the back ones were flat and the spare!!!!!
He put air in them and we hoped for the best, about 20 mins later the steering started to go again, so we had to stop every 20 mins on the way home to out air in the tyers!
Finally we were nearly home after 4 1/2 hours
at the last exit off the A41 our front typre finally blew, so dh had to change it for the spare, we only just made it home before the other tyre at the back blew.
You are most probably thinking "why didn't they call the RAC"
Well our car is an import, and they don't have the right parts for it
So we have no driver side window and now no rear wheel's!

Ah well it's all done now, that is the last time we go down to Wales, if the IL's want to see the DC's they can come to see us and even then I may say NO!

Morning all. Hope everyone has had a good weekend (well better than mine anyway!).

Ellie, as others have said, I wouldnt worry aobut m's speech. Ds used to say words wrong all the time, still does.

Ange, your dh sounds like mine! Mine just assumes that everything will get done, but has no concept of how difficult it can be. Hope you manage to get everything sorted for wednesday without too much stress

WELL DONE EDDAS!! 8lbs is fab. I am starting today and will be over to your thread in a bit.

CD, forgot to post last week that I got the grobag and I love it! It came only a day after you had posted it. Meant to let you know earlier but forgot due to sieve like brain

SMB, lol at corn poo!

Why cant I get words to work in bold? Please can someone tell me what to do. I have put the little stars around it like it tells me to, but its not working.

Morning all

Weather lovely here - really bright and sunny, although haven't actually been outside yet.

W is full up with cold and is cutting his 3rd tooth bless him. The only thing that seems to be making him happy is his brother or boob

Eddas - loving your style I sterilse bottles and pump, but don't bother with anything else - straight in the dishwasher.
I try do a mix of homemade and jars, except jars for W seem to runny (haha) He's just like his brother - the more homecooked it is, the better.

khin - some outlaws inlaws are a different breed. Have no explantion for their behaviour. I'm just going to make sure I don't end up like them (cos one day I might be a mil...)

And eddas - great news on the weight loss (I've lost 3lbs this week )

mammyjo - fancy doing something friday morning? I'll text you, promise

take care all, going to put washing out (and J is still in his pj's )

mammyjo, it only works on individual words, if you have speaces you need to do it around each word - is that what was wrong?

Hiya loves

KHIN, cannot get over your inlaws. What a crap time. Hope you get the car sorted out. Must have been pretty frightening.

SMB, pmsl at corn in T's poo. What a delight!

CD, no clues re P sleeping. We only get 45 mins/1 hour tops apart from at night sadly. I run around like a blue arsed fly as soon as she drops off! Fortunately, when she wakes up, she is quite happy to kick around in her cot for 15 minutes so I don't have to go to her straight away.

Hi to all. Need to sort out lunch for B before we head for school. xx

OMG I can't believe what has just happened, i have just checked our bank account and £2,000 has gone, someone has written a cheque, so I called up Dh and it turns out that even before the il's asked for money SIL had asked him and put him on a guilt trip and he had already given it to her, and not told me, not just not told me but LIED to me about it.
It is too late to stop the cheque and there is NO WAY on earth that we can afford to be giving away that sort of money, I am
