The cretious piss stained whizened old crow in asda wouldnt let me buy a bottle of wine(along with £90 of food), because apparently it is their policy if you look under 2 (which i'm not) then you have to have iD...The cheeky cow then had the nerve to start chatting to c... it was one of those moments where i wished he had stuck 2 fingers up at her... ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

geordiemacmummy · 12/10/2007 15:10

BOLLOCKS 25 NOT 2... CLEARLY IF YOU WERE UNDER 2 THEY WOULDNT LET YOU BUY WINE...

Lucewitch · 12/10/2007 15:14

Deep breathe and count to ten GMM

geordiemacmummy · 12/10/2007 15:19

Its just that it seems that this country is becoming more and more of a nanny state - why the fcuk should I have to prove that I am over 25 to buy a bottle of wine when the law clearly states that you have to be 18 or over to purchase alcohol. This whole smoking thing too - you have to be 18 to buy ciggies but you can smoke at 16 - whats that all about then?

Lucewitch · 12/10/2007 15:21

I had no idea that you have to be over 25 to buy wine
I must look like an old trout because they never ask me

geordiemacmummy · 12/10/2007 15:34

No - its just Asda.... I bet they wouldnt have asked me in Sainsburys...

Oh I got C some rice cakes tday - he loves them 0 just the right size for him to chomp on

Lucewitch · 12/10/2007 15:37

I was just trying to scan my 3s school photo and b tried to bite me

geordiemacmummy · 12/10/2007 15:40

I dont believe you L - my little B wouldnt do that - he's a wee sweetie... you must have provoked him

nappynuttynormabutty · 12/10/2007 15:43

Sorry but lol @ you getting asked for ID GMM. I guess in some ways it's a compliment

Had Erin weighed today and she's 13lb 4oz so following the 2nd centile fine. Was v happy really cos she's being weaned and she was ill a week ago so I really thought she'd have dropped.

SharpMolarBear · 12/10/2007 15:53

nappy - T was 13lb1 last Wednesday, sounds like they're very similar!
GMM, which rice cakes did you get? I've been looking at them but they all seem to be 12 months +. I wasn't sure why that was (worried it was the salt)??

geordiemacmummy · 12/10/2007 16:04

C is about 16lb...

They are just normal tice cakes - low fat ones, they do have salt in them but per cake its listed as "trace" so I thought that they would be ok. The whole of the downstairs is now covered in wee bits though as he likes to shred them and throw them around too!!!

SharpMolarBear · 12/10/2007 16:39

ah i see
think ill get some - plus, apart from honey & nuts there's nothing they CAN'T have anyway, i am paranoid!

Sexonlegs · 12/10/2007 16:50

Hi all

Luce, absolutely pmsl at you being an old trout! So funny.

Can't believe you have to be 25 to buy wine. I thought it was 21. So, you can go out shagging left right and centre at 16, but no booze to get you in the mood eh!?

Runny, have emailed you back.

CD, hope you are ok and that the tablets help.

Oooggs, hope you enjoyed the Twins Club.

Forgotten everything else - hopeless.

Managed to burn my hand today. Took some risotto out of the microwave, and the lid came off and spilt over me. Absolute agony. Stuck it under the tap and then in the sink for 20 mins, but every now and then burns like mad.

Hope everyone is ok.

Can we have a new thread. I am clueless as to how to set it up.

geordiemacmummy · 12/10/2007 16:55

No, you dont have to be 25, its still nly 18, but asda in their wisdom have decided thatb they want to see id for anyone who appears to be under 25...

how long before you have to prove you have a BMI of under 30 before you can by chips??

SharpMolarBear · 12/10/2007 16:55

well I can do new threads but am clueless as to a title - any ideas?
should be making tea, what on earth are we going to have???

VamPesha · 12/10/2007 17:00

Having a bmi of under 30 to buy chips sounds like a good idea to me! My will power seems to have deserted me at present - if I had to lose weight to get chips it'd really help!!

(no idea what my bmi is anymore btw but i know i'm fat!!)

busywithIzzy · 12/10/2007 17:16

Quick hello!! On FIL computer. Haven´t caught up!! Much better than expected!!

Bye for now xx

VamPesha · 12/10/2007 17:37

Oh yay glad you're having good time ange

mammyjo · 12/10/2007 17:56

Evening all. Ange, glad you are enjoying yourself.

Sol, sounds nasty. Have you got any (and you probably havent!) any aloe vera? Its fab for burns. I used to keep a plant, you just cut a stem off and use the sap that comes out. Works wonders for burns. Probably a useless piece of information!

I could do with a rule that with a bmi over 30 you are not allowed any cakes/choc/general crap. I might stand a chance of losing a bit of weight then!

leakyR · 12/10/2007 17:57

How about "Our April babies are now 6 months old but we're not SPOOKED"

Bit of a Halloween theme?

NorthernLurker · 12/10/2007 18:04

Woe is me - have just remembered am due for smear test - ugh - and the person supposed to be viewing our house today didn't show - and there's a huge wasp lurking in the house somewhere.....so I do feel a bit spooked really - and like I could impersonate a witch without any make up.....unhappily I think my big girls would agree.

oooggs · 12/10/2007 18:23

twins club good thanks sol

Hope you load school photo soon Luce

back later for more - feeding time (at the zoo)

Sexonlegs · 12/10/2007 18:29

Ange, glad you are having a good time.

NorthernLurker, I had a note through today re my smear test . I hate them! I would rather go through childbirth again! Sorry it was a no show on the house today. How bloody rude!

MJ, thanks for the tip. I don't have any Aloe Vera sadly. I bought some Burn Eze from Asda which is ok, and have been trying to remember to put E45 on to keep it moisturised. Burns like billy ho atm.

Geordie, Asda have gone mad then. They will be losing a lot of sales I imagine through that policy. Plonkers!

Right, bath time for the girls which dh will be doing. No way am I putting my hand in anything but cold water [ouch]!!!

NorthernLurker · 12/10/2007 18:47

Thanks SOL - at least it isn't just me facing an uncomfortable half hour. Think I feel extra apprehensive this time after bad experience when pregnant - midwife doing swab to check for thrush etc (sorry if TMI) - hurt like you wouldn't believe....she was attempting to swab wrong bit of me! Thank goodness she didn't do the delivery

Sorry to hear about the burn - I burnt myself on a bowl from the microwave when B was a couple of weeks old - blistered up then burst then took weeks to heal - and it was my right hand ! This isn't very helpful is it - sympathy anyway.

NorthernLurker · 12/10/2007 18:48

Oh and re the house -'bloody rude' just about sums up my thoughts too.
