leaky. Thinking of Eva, hoping all turns out well.

Sexonlegs · 11/10/2007 20:12

Hi all

Leaky, what a blow. I really hope the scan results are negative next week. Thinking of you all.

SMB, pmsl at the poo incident! What a nightmare.

Pinions, FAB news re the formula. I defintely think you should get the champers out!!

Completely forgotten everything else. Apologies. Head is mush and am peed off as B has effing head lice again. Spent an age last Saturday combing her hair, and got everything out. Combed again tonight and there were tons of them - ALIVE!!!!!

Hey ho. Dinner time! x

mammyjo · 11/10/2007 21:22

Leaky, so sorry to hear your news again What or where is MMR? Sorry, should prob know that but I dont. Cant believe they wont get any results until Wednesday. Seems so unfair that you all have to wait so long. Have been thinking of little Eva Rose every day. Hope you have a nice evening with dh. Take care xxxx

SOL, cant believe B has head lice again. That must be a bloody nightmare for you all the time. Ds has only had them once and that freaked me enough! Thats the good thing about boys having short hair! I am sure you must have tried every product under the sun to treat her hair too. What a pita.

KHIN, glad things are ok with you and dh. Was thinking about you earlier. Hope you are feeling better in yourself.

Pinions, cant believe the woman with that baby. She must have been watching claire verity. Cant believe she thinks a tiny baby is deliberately trying to manipulate its parents They are clever and learn quickly, but I dont honestly think they learn how to manipulate until quite a bit later on My ds is very good at it

Like the knicker thread - hilarious

mammyjo · 11/10/2007 21:24

Ooh, meant to mention the poo incident! Made me chuckle!!

Sexonlegs · 11/10/2007 22:05

Hiya MJ,

Have tried all the flipping lice treatments! They work fine, as does combing through. Shame the others in her class don't have such vigilent (sp?) parents!

I wonder if Leaky meant MRI scan?

Hope everyone is ok.

We need a new thread. Anyone???

Amm off to bed. Sleep well lovelies. xx

elkiedee · 12/10/2007 00:25

Hi all

My mouse exploded last night, or at least its battery did. Then we had a terrible night with D up from 1 to 4.30 am again. Today we went shopping for a new wireless desktop - keyboard and mouse set - as previous ones came together.

Sorry to hear the news about Eva is so scary, Leaky.

Am going to venture up to what looks like being another sleepless night with D soon.

SharpMolarBear · 12/10/2007 07:06

Morning everyone
Hope you had a better night elkie

Eddas · 12/10/2007 08:03

leaky, hope the scan shows better results. it's such a PITA that they take so long to get results. If it's an MRI, then Mum waited ages to have hers when she needed one then results take far too long IMO Bet they can get them quicker for emergency cases so don't understand why they take so long. Mind you hospitals sort of stop at the weekend unless it's an emergency, other than that they just do what they have to. It's nice that MIL felt she could open up to you. It's hard being strong for everyone. We're all here for you

Morning everyone!

Am considering taking dc's to Ikea this afternoon. Think i must be mad. Especially as dd will be tired from a week of pre-school Still not sure. LOVE ikea though. hmmmmmmmmmmm

Eddas · 12/10/2007 08:07

oh and thread title, something about babies getting to 6 months Happy half year birthdays? am crap at this title business

Can't believe is officially 6 months tomorrow. Mad.

leakyR · 12/10/2007 08:13

Sorry I did mean MRI scan. Brain is befuddled from lack of sleep and I can honestly say I am rubbish with acronyms.

We're going to Ikea tommorow with G and although I think it might be mad to do so we need to look at baby proof storage. He's rolling like a (can't think of something that rolls) rolly thing now and enjoys pulling stuff off shelves.

Might go back and read thread now.

leakyR · 12/10/2007 08:14

Ooh and G is 6 months today! Or yesterday when he was 26 weeks!

liath · 12/10/2007 08:16

Hmmm - ikea with tired children. Although it's not a weekend so might be OK. Dd loves playing in the kids bedroom section!

Think I might kick off the sectret santa soon what with postal strikes and all so will sort out recipients etc. Anyone else want to join?

geordiemacmummy · 12/10/2007 08:23

Morning ladies

If anyone wants a wee laugh

Eddas · 12/10/2007 08:30

The thought of taking dd to Ikea fills me with horror TBH, but i can't really avoid it as can't see anytime in the new future when I can go either alone or just with ds. Ds is no bother, I went a few times when dd was younger and it was fine. I'm thinking bribery. Go and look round, promise a toy if she's good(they're cheap in there) and have food there, so diner is done aswell.

Leaky, hope you don't take offense, but MMR/MRI thing reminds me of my nan(not saying you're like her BTW) when Mum was being treated she kept saying she was having 'creamo' (chemo!) so hard not to laugh she wasn't anyway it was radiotherapy which made it even funnier!

Pinions · 12/10/2007 08:32

Morning ladies!!!! Hope everyone's ok.

Well feel like my feet have hardly touched the ground this week, am really hoping for a bit of a quieter time next week.

Off for a spot of shopping, leaving both the rugrats with dh and a bottle of formula. Ha.

And dh is home all weekend thank god for that makes a welcome change. Bye all have a good day.

Eddas · 12/10/2007 08:34

GMM, you know the 'sale' people will all be on soon to at you! But IKWYM!

oooggs · 12/10/2007 08:40

morning all - a better night was had by all, ds1 only up once, dts at 2am then Jack at 5am and Erin at 6am and James at 7am which is still horrific but an improvement. Would have been better for me if I had gone to bed instead of msn - dh in bed before me - unheard of normally

All three today and dh on days so food shopping this morning and twins club this afternoon.

Would love to have an Ikea to go to, Bristol is 2hrs away which is a bit far (totalling 4 hrs in car). Good luck to those going.

Hope Eva had a good night x

Eddas · 12/10/2007 08:48

glad you had a 'better' night oooggs, good luck with shopping I think you need to move, no netto and now no Ikea nearby

oooggs · 12/10/2007 08:50

maybe you are right eddas but I do live in a very nice part of the country, loads of you come down here on holiday so it can't be all bad

SharpMolarBear · 12/10/2007 09:33

swiss roll, leaky

SharpMolarBear · 12/10/2007 09:40

Anyone want to buy a boy's vest, size 3-6mo, only worn a few times, cost 75p new and only a bit pooey? Will accept 65p, which will let me put petrol in my car to give old ladies lifts to church?
Any takers?

nappynuttynormabutty · 12/10/2007 09:58

lol @ sMB

Glad you had a better night Oooggs, so did we

Hope Eva had a good night too x

Leaky - Ikea on saturday , are you mad??? I hate going to Ikea at the weekend...those roundabouts terrify me (and I'm not even the one driving! )

elkiedee · 12/10/2007 10:05

Well, last night was a little easier to deal with. D was awake from 11 pm to 2 am but then stayed asleep until after 8 am - we had to get up earlier but it meant we could wake up slowly and I could read and stuff. Tue and Wed he was awake from 1 am until 4.30. Last night I brought him back downstairs at about 1 am as I thought dp was losing it, dp went to sleep and D played for a while on his mat, then went to sleep on my lap so I then took him up and put him in his (way too small) crib.

Glad oooggs and nutty had better nights.

Take care all

Sexonlegs · 12/10/2007 10:07

Morning all

SMB, pmsl at you! You should be in advertising !

Leaky, hope you are ok and that Eva is holding her own.

All ok here. Dh trying to work from home today and B is currently in the study with him "playing" the piano VERY LOUDLY!!
