KHIN glad you have sorted it out - sounds like it won't be able to happen again
maveta, yes, I was planning on giving him them cold, I've been letting all the cooked stuff cool completely anyway...does that sound disgusting??

nappynuttynormabutty · 11/10/2007 17:06

I am so .

This is what's happened so far with our veg delivery:
Week 1 - all ok
Week 2 - didn't turn up and can't rearrange delivery (gave 20% following week)
Week 3 - Wrong stuff arrived (arranged for redelivery on Fri before 9am of correct stuff)
Week 3 (Friday) - stuff did not turn up by 10 (so we cancelled it, promised free next week - get back from ILs on Monday to find all stuff soaking wet on patio)
Week 4 - all fine
Week 5 - hadn'tr turned up at normal time so dh phoned and told def coming, not turned up by 4pm so dh rang again told was def coming but driver doing 2 rounds so may be late, didn't arrive (told Fri am van had broken down would redeliver with discount on Sat and it was)
Week 6 (TODAY) - no veg yet so dh rings...they chase driver, van has broken down again...so no f'ing veg, supposedly gonna redeliver on Sat and give 20% off for 4 weeks

OMG MY SON HAS JUST DRUNK HIS FIRST EVER BOTTLE OF FORMULA.

MurderousMaveta · 11/10/2007 18:46

did he like it?

Pinions · 11/10/2007 19:02

YIPPEDY YIPPEDY YES. !!

Have just emailed dp to share the great news .

What a relief! So that he's eating more or less 3 meals a day I might go back to making bottles instead, or would that not be progress . I know for some you might think what the hell is there to get excited about but that is a MAJOR step forward for us yayyy!

Pinions · 11/10/2007 19:05

Tempted to go and open some champers or would that be wasted on just myself .

oooggs · 11/10/2007 19:10

put a drop of champers in his next 'bottle' pinions

Pinions · 11/10/2007 19:15

SharpMolarBear · 11/10/2007 19:35

Great news Pinions, you've finally cracked the bottle (well not literally )
Well have steamed stuff, my kitchen stinks, off to freeze it all

liath · 11/10/2007 19:40

Hooray Pinions!

AuntieM - good to hear the nappies are a success.

On the wine here . DH's exam went Ok, result next week then next exam in November.

LOL at the poo stories.

Pinions · 11/10/2007 19:45

I want a glass of wine.

leakyR · 11/10/2007 19:45

Just a quick message

Had very upset MIL on phone this afternoon. Eva had an EEG scan (monitors brain activity) earlier in the week. The technician who carried out the test thought it looked normal, however the doctors think there is some damage. To get a better idea they moved her MMR to this afternoon. No results until next Wednesday

She just broke down whilst talking to me. They're all trying to hold things together and be positive but I think she just needed to let things out. Think it helped to listen to her, but I wish there was more I could do.

Pinions glad T has finally succumbed!

Pinions · 11/10/2007 19:50

Fantastic news Leaky, hoping that the technicians are right as opposed to the doctors .

Right off for a cup of tea, instead of wine!

leakyR · 11/10/2007 19:53

Think you misunderstood me. Technician was wrong, the doctors have seen something abnormal in her eeg.

Going now to make myself look presentable. Dh has been away since Omnday but should be home in half an hour.

SharpMolarBear · 11/10/2007 19:53

Oh can't believe they have to wait so long Leaky Hope as Pinions says the original opinions are right and the docs just want to be 100% sure

MurderousMaveta · 11/10/2007 19:55

Oh Leaky, it´s such a hard time for all of you.. I remember when our nephew was born last year (same day a year earlier than N!!) he was born at 32 weeks and had so many problems, it was up and down for a while. It is so hard. He had a brain hemorrage (sp?) and oh I can´t even remember what else. And at 18mths he´s still very small and can only just sit unaided but he´s making progress. He´s a beautiful special little boy, he has the biggest smile and most melt-your-heart eyes.. All he has been/is going through but he´s here and he´s so loved.. our babies are often stronger than they look.. I´m thinking of you all x

AuntieMeemz · 11/10/2007 19:55

Poor Eva leaky, how hard this is for you all. I'm hoping the technician, who does this all the time, knows more than the Dr.

I have an extremely low opinion of hospital Drs after some very nasty incidences when I was in hospital with Rachel. If ever in hospital again with my children, I will absolutely NOT allow any Dr to do anything, and will insist on a Paedatrician, or just go home. Half the time, the word Dr is used for someone who barely knows his a---- from his elbow...Of course, total respect to the good Drs who are trained well, but as for the rest.....

nappynuttynormabutty · 11/10/2007 19:58

Oh Leaky , thinking of you all. Really hope the technician is right.

AuntieMeemz · 11/10/2007 20:04

I got this website on a card, in with the info about my nappies. I think the stuff is cute, and I know the lady who makes them. I've ordered the stick people house, and the magic wardrobe!
