I have had a glass and a half of wine.Dp is away so abit naughty really and not what i would usually do.
I have missed the nappy debate but want to tell you i have mine DELIVERED... i am a woman of substance!I use Moltex oko and they can be composted and heir nappy sacks are biodegradeable.They are fab and cost about 4 euros more than the average normal ones.
I am going to watch bringing up baby tonight.DS1 is shocked with Claire Verity's attitude...he thinks she seems to enjoy being mean.I agree,the method may have a value but she seems to enjoy them crying[babies]and ses them as manipulative and the enemy.

Just spoke to Dh. Eva has had another good day. Results from yesterday's ECG are fine, they have reduced her dosage with the anti-seizure meds, she is still taking EBM through her tube and today she opened her eyes and looked at grandma and grandpa for the first time She will have a MRI scan on Friday and hopefully more results from other tests in the next few days. Everyone is feeling cautiously positive.

So sorry about your Aunt, Luce. Thanks for the link for that Loch Lomond place, though - it looks fab. We have a week off after DH's exams so may suggest it to him for a couple of nights away.

Maveta, I have a couple of baby Einstein DVDs - World Animals & Neighbourhood Animals - which I got when dd was just over one (I think) & she loved them. I'm a bit of a Nazi with the TV, she has never watched cbeebies but I reckon the odd DVD can be a lifesaver sometimes.

Dd asked to go to bed at 6pm tonight ! She looked knackered poor thing. Ds followed at 6.30. I should really get and early night and NOT watched that blasted CV programme & get all cross and unable to sleep.....

Right early night for me all, school open day in the morning, and body feels like it has been well and truly blitzed and at the same time.

GMM sorry to hear about your friend. Nobody gets it all though. THe fact that she went on and on about her fab life means WITHOUT ANY DOUBT AT ALL that it is actually quite dull, or worse. Maybe these few days are the best of her whole life, and she can't stop going on about them.

My SIL warbles endlessly about how wonderful my brother is, I just know she is lying! She tells everyone how happy they are, yet they never,ever spend any time together. Hmmm

Feel very left out re. the whole bringing up baby thing.. can´t watch it on 4od because i´m not in the uk - do you know if you can download from that site? If so maybe my sis could download it and burn a copy to disc? Or not? bah.

Having a stress over on the breastfeeding section - am definitely going through an indecisive phase (a la Octo ) and from one minute to the next I´m changing my mind as to whether I want to cut down all b-feeds except morning and night. Or maybe keep all feeds and give a bottle at night. Or not change anything. Aaaargh! I´m too indecisive for parenthood!

I WANT MY HIGHCHAIR NOW! Tell me what you would do.. my (very lovely) SIL offered to buy us our highchair which was very unexpected but of course very nice of her. But now it´s been a few weeks and she hadn´t mentioned it again. I asked dh to find out what was going on because we are happy to buy it but either way we need it soon, iykwim. On saturday she brought it up anyway and said we should meet this week to do it to which I said great, because we were just saying we really needed it. Then I called yesterday and she said she can´t do it til next week. I feel a bit frustrated because while it is so sweet of her to want to get it for us, I´d rather just pay for it and get on and get it, if you follow? The shop I went to today says they have it in the colour we want but it´s a tiny shop and they don´t hold much stock, if they run out or we want another colour we have to order and it might take a week or two. So I kind of want to get it now I know they have it and it´s ready to go, you know? What would you do?

Maveta, get the high chair now, and hope she gives you the cash. What if she can't make next week, and can only go once it has been sold?

Life is so short, do what you need or want to do, the rest will usually follow.

Evening all. All well here, F doing well with taking some formula during the day for me, only one bottle daily so far, but she likes it! Am planning to very gradually cut back on the bf.

Leaky, glad to hear that Eva has been stable today. Fingers crossed that the MRI is completely normal. Thoughts remain with you all xx

GMM, your friend sounds delightful. I have a (so-called) friend like that. Totally money orientated. TBH, I dont see her much any more, cant be doing with people like that. Would rather have healthy children and a (relatively!) happy home life any day than bags of cash. Doesnt sound like she sees her children at all, makes me wonder why she had them in the first place.
And LOL at C biting the cat!!

hahah - forgot to say anything about the cat tales (har. har. ).. N is simply fascinated by our black and white cat (the other one stays well out of the way!) and gets totally transfixed by him.. reaches out to ´stroke´ him and then grabs a fistful. Poor cat isn´t quite sure what to make of him, you can see him being torn between the possibilities of another person to cuddle and stroke him and a potential tormentor

Yeah, I think I will call her tomorrow and explain that it is in stock and just see. I don´t want her to think I´m being pushy.. if she offers to pay well great! but if not, it´s an expense we were expecting anyway..oh women of MN how do I manage to make decisions when I can´t consult you at all hours?!

Mav - I would call your SIL and explain - she'll understand I am sure, tell hery ou would stil verym uch like to see her next week anyway - and offer to buy tea and cake! It'll be fine, I'd get the highchair you want now, you will only regret it otherwise.

Pillock - It looks much bigger in the photo, in RL it was no bigger than the Chicco Polly Double Phase I was looking at..that still makes it a chunky highchair but I agree, in the photo it looks positively enormous!
