Right oh then people, I'll try and give you some kind of an update about how we're getting on here.
So... After the C-section (13 days late btw PCM) I had about an hours sleep and then spent the rest of the day awake seeing visitors and feeding. Also Aaly had her first bath which she wasn't too please about but she smelled sooo nice after. Both midwives that were there for the HB gone wrong came and gave me a run-down about what happened and why which made me feel better about it all. One of the MW's got that first poop cos I was still hooked to drips and a cathetar and couldn't get out of bed. Took her about 10 mins to clean We managed to get another couple of hours sleep that night.
Next day more visitors.. tireing, more feeding. Finally got my cathetar and drips removed and a shower (soo nice) got to wander around the ward and get shouted at for not taking it easy ahh well. By that night I'd had enough and wanted a good kip in my own bed!!
Friday - I told MW's I was going home. got abit of noises about not being ready but I think they knew I wasn't kidding. DP brought me some clean clothes (heaven) and Aaly had a change of clothes to come home in. She wore a blue babygro with "my first football" on. LOL. A couple more visitors and then sleep and she did sleep quite well.
Saturday - MW's came round to do checks and give me another injection for DVT. Also some iron tablets cos I was aneamic (should have been over 11 and only 7 ) We then went to Tesco's to get some baby gros that fit her. She has to wear early baby cos she's soo small.
Today - I've been feeling pretty crappy, headache and my stitches are killing me. MW's came again this morning to give me last injection for DVT. They're coming back on Tues to give her her heel prick test.
We're breastfeeding well and alot easier than I thought it would be although sometimes I do kinda feel like nothing but a plate for her as daddy gets all the cuddles in between
Ok ENOUGH now..... there's not much more to say and I've rambled so speak to you all later.
