Know what you mean about cat napping. DD has never been the best daytime sleeper, but they are definitely turning into shorter naps, often falling asllep mid feed, sleeping while held sideways, them waking and restarting the feed, etc.

Been lookingt at those boots Halloween clothes. I like one of the boys tops, might try to get one for DD anyway.

andiem · 06/10/2007 15:10

hi ria we didn't get any extra work for sats last year and ds didn't even know he had done them I thought the school handled it very well

daisyandbabybootoo · 06/10/2007 15:12

foxy....it was the magazine that gave it away! Her cardi still fits really well too, but not for much longer

Charlie999 · 06/10/2007 15:15

Jamantha - I also bought one of those tops for my nephew....its lovely! And its buy one get one half price so I got both for £8

What is it bout the rugby....my DH is glued as well as he doesn't even support England

daisyandbabybootoo · 06/10/2007 15:16

Jamantha DD falls asleep when feeeding, but as soon as i try to put her down she wakes up again. tis very annoying at times!

the collapsible pram thread was deleted by MN......it all got a bit silly, with lots of of users of the Bounty buying/selling forum joining up and slagging everyone off in capital letters, bad spelling and text speak with a fair old smattering of lol and hun thrown in.....this place is hysterical sometimes, I haven't laughed so much in aaaaaages.

Charlie999 · 06/10/2007 15:19

It was a great thread....you don't always need to look at someones prolife to work out how old they are do you?

Makes me feel really old and boring sometimes reading some of the threads on this site....

Charlie999 · 06/10/2007 15:20

Whoops profile even!

Jamantha · 06/10/2007 15:20

Whenever DD falls asleep, if I try to put her down she (almost always) wakes again. Yes it can be annoying, but I mostly work round it, and use it as an excuse to sit down for a snoozy cuddle

sputnik · 06/10/2007 16:59

Oh,shame I missed the closing fun on the pram thread.

Baby Sputnik is a great napper I have to say. I think spending half our life in the car probably helps. Actually we just had a great 1 1/2 hour nap together, while DD slept too, it was fantastic.

I really needed it as I was up twice last night with DD, it's something isn't it when your 3 year old sleeps worse than your 3 month old, so you have my sympathy Elsbells. She used to sleep ok, I'm hoping once she's better settled at preschool things will improve.

justbeme · 06/10/2007 18:11

Hiya! Am knackered from doing lots of pruning out in the garden - DP reminded me that its the 1st time (since baby) that Ive done lots of "work"!!!

What do you mean Daisy about the Bounty Forum? Is that from the Bounty site - hows comes they joined in then?

Ria - re the anti social behaviour - I often took calls from the public re tossers like that and our Police force are happy to drive round and "have a word" - so next time WHEN its happening call your local police forces non urgent tel no (not 999!).

Oh and hi Ellesbells!

daisyandbabybootoo · 06/10/2007 18:17

apparently all these swapping buggy thread posters are all bounty regulars, but they come on here to do their buying and selling. the woman who was trying to get rid of the (potentially) dangerous buggy went onto bounty and started slagging off MN and the poster who higlighted the buggies faults. There was then several posters from the bounty site who started posting in big shouty capitals that MN were a bunch of bullies.

Apparently as well one of these sellers had posted a thread (on here) asking for a references that a regular MNer who was interested in buying her buggy was good for the cash . That one has been deleted too.

fun and games really. Itlooks like there is some trolling by MNers going on over there as well.

It's netmums all over again!

sputnik · 06/10/2007 18:20

Hi JBM,did you miss pramgate then? Linked the threads lower down but they've been deleted.

justbeme · 06/10/2007 18:32

Hi - no i read quite alot of it but not the bit where Bounty was getting mentioned - but have just been reading another thread all about it now!! God, the excitement!!

riabutterflew · 06/10/2007 18:46

thanks jbm, that's what dh would have done if I'd said instead of just getting cross. I think our non-urgent calls go to Northallerton which is 2 hours away maybe, am assuming there is a patrol car parked up somewhere quite near waiting? We do have a CSO on a bike, but presumably not at midnight?
hopefully it won't happen again

Elsbells · 06/10/2007 20:46

Right I feel like a real b*&ch for nagging about DH earlier.

My day got from sad and grey to just plain bad. I broke down at a major junction and was being shouted at, beeped, and the rest cause I was causing an even bigger traffic jam (er, I panicked too - I just passed my test at 38 weeks pg back in May - not much experience on these mad london roads)

Anyhow, after calling DH to explain my dilemma, he called the RAC for me and then walked down w/DC to send me packing home and him to wait it out.

So he isn't all that bad - for now...

sputnik · 06/10/2007 20:52

they can come in handy sometimes

Where is everyone tonight?

trendaverter · 06/10/2007 20:53

AARRRGGGGHHHH
STUPID FUCKING SHITBUCKET BITCH
YOU ARE A SUPPERATING PUSTULE ON THE ARSEHOLE OF HUMANITY

GRRRRRRR

I would just really like my money back you lying, thieving, deceitful cow.

Ahhh that's better.

I had a run in with someone today, oops

trendaverter · 06/10/2007 20:55

stupid idiot that took my £100 for nappies (YUMMYMUMMY1982 yes YOU) still not given me a refund.

Feeling mild waves of violence.

On another note...

I work at a celeb sort of place and I got pissed off with a car trying to get in the car park today but just SAT THERE so I start hurling abuse, anyway who gets out? Dom Joly...doh. I fancy him a little bit actually.

Elsbells · 06/10/2007 20:58

Hi TA
I have just joined your post natel group...sounds like you have had a day!!!

How is work? I went back to work after DS when he was 8m. It's hard isn't it??? BUT I have to say, after 2 weeks of sobbing and feeling not very confident, I got into the swing of it and it helped pay for my wedding and move.

justbeme · 06/10/2007 21:00

How did you pay the £100 TA? chq/Paypal? and whats she saying THIS time?

and I must be old and sad but I dont know who Dom Joly is

daisyandbabybootoo · 06/10/2007 21:00

Good evening....

TA, is she still trading on here? or has she scuttled back to bounty as well?

Is there a seller feedback section in the for sale section.

You would be justified in leaving some very negatvie feedback.

sorry about your scary experience ellsbells. I hate driving in London...you have my admiration for attempting it as a newish driver!

Elsbells · 06/10/2007 21:01

£100 for nappies????????

Oh no, I have to confess - I use disposables. BUT I wash at 30 and recycle. Does that help my carbon footprint?

foxybrown · 06/10/2007 21:02

Elsbells, that was kind of your DP. Don't worry about bitching, they DO deserve it sometimes.

My boys are driving me mad, and I am now suffering huge amounts of guilt for losing it infront of them and crying/screaming. They were being vile. It was so bad I phoned DP and asked what I should do next (not that he was any use) - just felt I had no where left to go. (sad faces on star charts, lights off/removed/ threats made/shouting/toys taken you name it)

So, tomorrow there is no television, (oh that was such a bad call on my part) and DD1 gets to make all the decisions on what we are going to do. When DS2 got upset (because all the nightlights were taken away) I felt so awful but couldn't go and give him a hug because that would have meant he wasn't in trouble.

TA, tell us more. I need the distraction!

trendaverter · 06/10/2007 21:03

hello Elsbells we've not met! Welcome!
Please hang around, we do occasionally get a newbie but I think we scare them off! We might seem cliquey but really we are not!

Nah my day has been good - yesterday was shite! I went to work today where I had a run in with Dom ... whoops, but oh well, he was still blocking the road, I don't care who he is...then I went to Argos to buy a load of Christmas presents where I marvelled at the people that work there. Argos seems to steal people's souls.
Then I came home and cleaned the bathroom.

But DH cooked dinner, and it was amazing! Beef escalope with sauteed potatoes, ragu and brocolli, all made from scratch! I was WELL impressed.

Elsbells · 06/10/2007 21:04

daisy, I don't have a choice about driving in this place...unfortunately it is where I live. I HATE it.

Was shouted at last week by a cabbie when I was driving the DC's for the 1st time to a playgroup.
